Chapter 261 - Emerson's Married?

Name:Help...My Wife is a Spy Author:Yunyi
"I'm at the Royal Palace Restaurant right now. I just saw her with Emerson's family and she's wearing a wedding gown!" Marissa's friend exclaimed.

Marissa paused in disbelief. Was this the reason why Emerson was in Beijing and why he was seen with Haili Feng. Did he come to Beijing to marry her?!

Marissa looked at herself in the mirror. She had done so much to make herself beautiful. Wasn't she beautiful enough for him? Had she truly lost this time?

She immediately stood up and stormed into Danson's bedroom next door. "Tell me. Do you think I'm beautiful?" she asked abruptly in frustration.

Danson was in the middle of getting changed at that moment and his shirt was off. So, he frowned as he slowly turned around to face the woman. "Don't you know how to knock?" he complained.

"I asked you a question. Do you think I'm beautiful?" Marissa repeated herself.

Danson scanned his eyes up and down the woman. She was wearing a soft white robe on top of a silky black nightgown. Her long, lightly tanned legs were exposed inside the dimly lit room and her cheeks were slightly pink from the hot bath she had just come out of. Even though she had no makeup on, it appeared as though she had a healthy blush on her face, and it made her look slightly seductive.

The woman brushed back her damp hair impatiently and stormed up closer to the man. "Am I beautiful?" she asked again.

Of course, Danson thought she was beautiful. He had always thought she was beautiful, even before all her plastic surgery, but he didn't want her to know that. So, he controlled his emotions and shook his head. "You're just an ugly stepmother," he replied as he turned towards the wardrobe to grab a shirt.

Marissa's heart shattered. She held onto her chest and felt her eyes well up a little. These words hurt...they hurt a lot. For some reason, this response was even more painful than hearing that Emerson was married.

Unwilling to accept her fate, Marissa tore off her robe and grabbed the man's arm, turning him back around to face her.

Danson was a little surprised as he looked at the woman again. Marissa was standing so close, his chest almost rubbed against her body.

Marissa's nightgown hugged the curves of her body, the low neckline highlighted her fake b.r.e.a.s.ts and he could tell that she wasn't wearing anything underneath.

Danson swallowed. It had been 10 years since he saw her body, but he could still remember how it felt.

"Do you still think I'm ugly?" Marissa asked in a slight whisper.

Danson looked at the woman. What had gotten into her? Why did she care so much about how he thought about her? Didn't she only care about Emerson?

"You have an ugly heart, so this fake facade of yours won't work on me. No matter what you do, you will always be ugly," Danson said as he lightly pushed the woman away.

The rejection drove Marissa crazy. Emerson, the love of her life, had gotten married today. And now, the father of her child was telling her that she was ugly. Anyone could call her ugly, but he had no right. If he thought she was ugly, then why did he date her all those years ago? Why did he cling to her and not let her go? Why did he sleep with her? He had to be lying.

She couldn't accept it.

So, as soon as the man turned back to the wardrobe again, she quickly slipped out of her nightgown. Her self-esteem had already been damaged by Emerson, she couldn't let Danson hurt her as well.

"Are you sure?" she asked.

"Yes, I'm..." Danson turned around in frustration, but before he could finish his sentence, he saw the n.a.k.e.d woman in front of him and froze. "What are you doing?" he asked.

Marissa wrapped her arms around Danson's neck and looked into his eyes. "Come on! Tell me I'm ugly," she said, determined to make him surrender.

Danson could see a trace of pain in the woman's eyes, but he couldn't understand what was happening. "What's gotten over you?" he asked as his eyes softened. As much as he forced himself to hate this woman, seeing her in this vulnerable state made him want to protect her. If he was Superman, she was his Kryptonite. He was weak against her and he couldn't help it.

Marissa saw the concern in Danson's eyes and finally felt her pain disappear. Simply knowing that this man cared about her made all her problems fade away.

Marissa was confused. Why did she feel this way? Why did she care how he felt and thought?

With a complex mix of emotions, she found herself hugging the man's neck tighter like she didn't want to let go. Before she knew it, her eyes fell on the man's lips. Back in high school, she had kissed these lips multiple times. She could still remember how warm and soft they felt. Without realizing it, Marissa subconsciously started leaning forward. After all these years, did his lips still feel the same? With this thought, Marissa closed her eyes and pressed her lips against Danson's. Danson stood still in surprise. The last time this woman did something like this to him, she was drunk. Was she also drunk today?

Danson subconsciously pushed his tongue into her mouth to see if he could taste any alcohol. But, Marissa thought he was kissing her back and gasped in pleasure when she felt his tongue; her gasp immediately stirred up his desires. She then twirled her tongue with his and pressed her body against him.

Danson leaned back against the wardrobe in surprise. He couldn't taste any alcohol. This woman knew exactly what she was doing.

Realizing this, Danson immediately kissed the woman back. He thought he had put up a strong wall against her; that he would never lose himself around her and allow her to hurt him again. But, one kiss was all it took to make his wall come crashing down. Unable to contain his desires, he lifted the woman in his arms and carried her to the bed.

Marissa smiled. She knew he couldn't resist her...
