Still after dealing with his own personal version of hell known as herbology Nick was finally free to seek out Mcgonagall with his proof of concept. This meeting went about as excepted as she tested out two of the rings personally and after making sure the rest were the same she took them and went to go see Dumbledore. It came as little surprise to Nick that the old goat agreed to the proposal straight away under the condition that the Ministry of magic also agreed. Nick merely sent a letter to Fudge talking about the possibility of attending the annual yule ball he held while ever so subtly hinting at wanting his aid for this plan.-

Despite not technically having permission just yet Nick already decided to start stockpiling the rings and made ten more and slept in the workshop again. He worked like this for the next week before the ministries acceptance letter arrived alongside a formal invitation to the yule ball. 'I'm going to need a suit.' Nick thought with a sigh. It was going to be his first public appearance at one of these high society events and that meant that he needed to look his best.-

The invitation came with a letter explaining how Nick would arrive and depart from the ball since he would be staying at the school over the holidays as an orphan. The Hogwarts floo connection directly to the ministry was the path set out for Nick to take. Fudge apparently was going to have someone arrive at Hogwarts and escort Nick to the ball on the nineteenth of December at five o'clock. The day after the holidays officially began and all the students going home for it were gone Nick could be found in the workshop looking at himself in a conjured full length mirror as he adjusted his suit last minute. It was a marvelous piece made of unicorn hair and acromantula silk in the form of a muggle style tuxedo. The coloration however was what made it pop as it was black with a whole lot of small white dots all over it like the starry sky as the suit shimmered slightly in the light. Nick himself had used some easy removed magic hair gel to comb back neatly his usually unruly grey hair.
