Chapter 180: Kakashi's the Prize for All

"Ugh... Where are they?" Obito rightly slumps on the grass with his stomach relaying the absolute defiance and threat of exploding given how much all of them ate. He isn't the only one feeling similar but all the Genin of Team 6 and 9 slumps down in a similar manner.

"Hmm, it looks like something came up," Duy contemplates and then smiles, "But my job here is done! It has been a great pleasure training with you these few days! Don't forget to push yourselves to the limit! You must use your youth wisely!" Saying his piece and a few words of farewell, Duy leaves while jogging as the rest lie back with their limbs sprawled out.

Obito finally questions after a while of resting, "Guy, don't listen to those two retards! Being a shinobi is more than the ability to use Ninjutsu or Genjutsu."

It is easy for others to notice that the younger follower of passionate youth is feeling a lot more complicated about the mocking insults and gazes of others once they publicly called out his father's inability and his own inability by extension to utilize ninjutsu or genjutsu efficiently.

Not having any reply for this act of compassion, Guy just remains silent and observes the wide sky. Finally, his mind registers something strange and he sits up, "Ninjutsu and Genjutsu are not important? Then what is?"

Rubbing the bridge of his nose, Obito grins, "Of course, it's guts! Do you think anyone can be brave enough to follow the path of being a Shinobi? I heard that a few shinobi always retire from the corps every year because it is too hard to handle. Even my caretaker wanted me to join the Uchiha Police force instead but I want to be the Hokage! A coward cannot become a Hokage."

Initially, Team 6, nay, Konan, and Kurenai had quite a derisive opinion of Obito's words. It's simple children are judgmental of the smallest details instead of the larger picture. But by the end of it, they do feel their strings tugged by Obito's words.

If they are not courageous... wouldn't they quit already? Something most definitely allows them to continue training knowing that their lives can be easily on the line during their time of duty but with their Mentor leading the way, accepting all this becomes easier.

"To become a great shinobi," Obito sits up with a bright expression, "We must have the guts to be the very best!"

The other four girls quietly look at Obito but have nothing to add. Instead, Guy's eyes issue an intense downpour as he rubs his sniveling nose, "S- So passionate! This is what father was saying about being the ever-burning leaf that keeps on floating!"

"Uh... yeah, that," Obito shrugs, not understanding what the boy is on about but as long as his teammate isn't glum, Obito is happy, too.

"Are the three of you planning to return to the hospital for more classes?" Rin looks at the trio as they nod with Kurenai speaking up, "Sensei created this training session for us to understand our weaknesses. Something we should focus on shortly. The most troublesome thing is that we are only getting started training our bodies seriously... it took us three months of basic exercise before, I wonder how long it will take us now..."

"Well, I'm good at everything so it's the two of you who need to work on yourself," Konan yawns and closes her eyes, feeling a little sleepy and already thinking of having a much-desired afternoon nap.

"Excuse you?" Kurenai scoffs.

"Well, you still don't know how Hikari got you into genjutsu. You don't know any ninjutsu, and you're physically weaker than I am. And Shizune just got blown away by the opponent's words even before the real thing," Konan keeps her eyes closed the entire time.

While her performance indeed looked a little dull, she kept solid during the spars without showing any weakness. There are two reasons for this. First, she is older than the seven-year-old genin around her. By two years, no less. Her body is more developed compared to Kurenai, Shizune, and Rin. Two, even before this pair of ankle weights, she has been using a pair that came to a total of 10 kilos to practice walking on water and trees. That is why she is also the quickest in her team to adapt to these new ankle weights to a certain extent and why she could easily make fake ankle weights from the paper before.

She has a slight experience, something she would easily lord over Kurenai who is quick to try to make herself the 'prime' student for their Sensei.

"I'm THIS close to finding how Hikari put me in Genjutsu!" Kurenai huffs while spacing her thumb and index finger in a way they almost touch.

"I bet Shizune already knows how Hikari did it," Konan retorts, and Kurenai looks at Shizune who purses her lips and looks away.

"What? You really do?" Kurenai questions Shizune who nods meekly.

"Um, do you want me to tell you?" The dark-haired genin questions only for Kurenai to pout and lie back down, "I'll find out the answer my own way! I have a plan. Just you two wait..."

"But are you coming to the hospital?" Rin questions again with a wry expression as the duo almost forgot about the cause of their impulsive bickering.

"Yes, we still have to pass three more levels," Shizune smiles.

"Levels?" Obito questions.

"They need to pass tests formed by Nagato-san, Mikoto and Kushina-san, Orochimaru and Tsunade-Sama, and finally Kai-san to... unlock B, A, and S-ranked missions," Rin answers for them as she has known about this for a while Obito looks thoroughly surprised, "Didn't your team just complete an A-ranked mission?"

But not anymore.

Oh, how she is annoyed by the act of aging!

"Anyway, you guys should train while I have my time with Minato!" Kai grins with clearly more excitement than he did while training with Nawaki, Mikoto, and Tsume, something they note once more. Minato, too, is equally eager. He has learned quite a few things aside from the forbidden jutsu he created and they are quick to disappear.

"If Minato had been a girl, I would be so jealous," Mikoto shakes her head with a smile before looking at Team 6 and 7, "Kai asked me to help out today once more. You six will spar with each other and," Looking at Genma who has a senbon in his mouth, Mikoto warns, "Let's keep it clean, shall we? I won't tolerate any spits this time around."

The boy nods hurriedly.

"Uh... is Kakashi going to stay?" Obito questions as he and Guy observe Kakashi for the tender meat he is.

"I'm not," Kakashi replies impassively, "I'm going to the hospital."

He doesn't add anything else and decides to leave before he is challenged constantly once again. But as he leaves, he is surprised for a moment that Rin didn't try to tag along. Not that he wants this to happen but rejecting her advances is equally challenging compared to rejecting Guy's and Obito's advances.

'Oh, well, more peaceful study for me,' Kakashi thinks nothing more of it and flickers away.

"Don't you want to go to the hospital now?" Konan smirks but Rin looks a little sad and shakes her head, "I... want to train."

She can't waste her time in good conscience after Team 6 busting their asses for the last three days.

"Then you three can join in on this spar, too. We won't get chances like this constantly," Tsume gives a toothy grin and looks at Mikoto like a predator she aspired to be, under Kai, of course.

"I want to spar against a proper Uchiha, too!" She claims loudly.

"Fine by me," Mikoto smiles, "But I promise I would have a lot of free time soon so we can make this a regular thing, too."
