Kai has six wood clones working live at every living moment of his. This means, even when he sleeps, only one part out of the seven compartments of mental processes is asleep. To be honest, it feels like a strange, lucid, fever dream but Kai accepts the consequence of grind at its face value. But in the pursuit of wanting the clones to be as efficient as possible, Kai chose to categorize his wood clones.

Since he can only pursue five skills at once, the first five wood clones are each practicing a mokuton within Shikkotsu Forest which happens to be one of the best regions to practice this Kekkei Genkai.

[Hokage Style Elder Jutsu Tenth Edict On Enlightenment (8/20): Creates a seal of chakra made out of wood nature on the palm of the user that reads 'sit' and once placed on the forehead of the target, it dispels all external control on the target while controlling and suppressing the chakra of the target. Reduce the consumption of chakra by 2.5% at every level. Current consumption: 23200/min.

[Wood Release Great Forest Technique (12/40): This technique allows the user to transform their limbs into wooden and plant-like constructs of various shapes and lengths at a cellular level that can be controlled using chakra and reverted to human flesh through chakra, too. Reduce the consumption of chakra by 2% at every level. Current Consumption: 18240/hr.

[Wood Release Wood Dragon Technique (6/10): Creates a wooden dragon that drains the target's chakra and explodes with all the stored chakra at the user's will. Reduce the consumption of chakra at every level by 5%. Current Consumption: 16800.

[Wood Release Wooden Golem (7/15): Creates a wooden golem that is capable of draining the chakra of the target and using other wood release jutsu extensively through its own body. Reduce the consumption of chakra by 3.33% at every level. Current Consumption: 36811~???.

[Wood Release Deep Forest Emergence (1/5): Forms a region of dense natural forest under the user's control as long as their chakra flows through the area. Reduce the consumption of chakra by 10% at every level. Current Consumption: 16300/sq kilometer.

Next Level: 60 SP or 5400/10000 sq kilometers.]

The first technique could loosely be understood as a seal powered by wood nature transformation. In essence, it suppresses chakra but without wood coiling around the target. The true nature of this skill, however, is complicated and rooted in Hashirama's past which caused him to eventually create a seal of this nature.

The world of shinobi is usually divided into three general skill sets Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, and Taijutsu. These three can be further divided into fuinjutsu, kenjutsu, kinjutsu, and the kind. But in the warring era, Senju Clans found their worst opponent in the Uchiha. Sure, the Senjus were talented in modifying their jutsus constantly to keep the Uchiha at bay and even win many times but there is no denying that Uchiha clansmen with their sharingan activated were too great of a threat.

Hashirama in his later years reflected on this situation and created a seal that utilizes the nature of his mokuton to mimic the use of many aspects of shinobi. It's ninjutsu that is charged by wood nature transformation. Then this is turned into a fuinjutsu. Then it is set on the target that directly removes the control of a third party on the target namely genjutsu. And lastly, after all this, the user finally controls and suppresses the flow of chakra in the target a supreme and direct expression of genjutsu in the most forceful manner possible.

Wood style can already suppress and drain chakra. This seal is created specifically to control the target completely. It would take an extraordinary perception and willpower to break free from this seal and as evidenced... even Tailed-beasts do not possess such willpower.

The second skill [Great Forest Technique] would most likely be considered a skill that reaches the level of 100 if Kai was facing such a skill for the first time. This skill is similar to Tsunade's Body Transformation, Orochimaru's technique to turn her limbs into serpents, and Jiraiya's jutsu of manipulating his hair. Not only does this jutsu dives into cellular research and composition of many plant life and trees that allow a grand versatility surpassing Kai's sage transformation but the manipulated wood can be turned into ANY item that can also explode upon touch.

But... Kai DID know of Tsunade's Body Transformation. He DID know of the multiple forms he can create and manipulate through [Essence Transformation] and the [Study of Chakra Weapons] which were leveled 75 and 100 respectively. Yet, the 'new' knowledge of the composition of plant life and trees did leave Kai with a skill reaching level 40!

As for Wood Dragon... nothing else needed to be said. It's almost the same as its fire, water, and earth variant.

But things changed a bit when it came to Wood Golem.

Earth Tengu is a technique created by Tobirama Senju to specifically combat Uchihas with their own equally 'large' technique and the Wood Golem is the same in its purpose. The difference lies in the fact that while Earth Tengu can only be manipulated to perform physical attacks, and that, too, is a tad bit slow, the wood golem is not bound by these limitations. It can even perform other wood-release techniques through physical contact with the user or any of its clones.

"Fine then... because I do NOT think cooking is a better use of time than training."

Kai looks at the boy with a flat expression, waiting if he was done.

"Do you want me to talk you out of it?" Kai questions as his empath skill find the youth in guilt-ridden agreement.

Sighing, Kai shakes his head, "Don't worry. Nono planned to cook you your favorite eggplant. Having you cook alongside was just a way to busy your mind. Come along."

At the end of it, Kakashi's gaze grows conflicted for a moment and then he eventually shakes his head, "I've reconsidered my options... I think I want to stay now."

"For the eggplant?" Kai asks with a smile.

"For the thought Nono-san put in to make me feel comfortable."

"That's admirable," Kai leans down a bit to pat the boy's shoulder, "Sakumo-san would not have chosen any other option either."

Kakashi's gaze flicker with appreciation but Kai soon laughs, "Hehe, but you lost big time. I was about to teach my team a secret technique~! Bye!"

His body flickers away and now...

Kakashi feels desolate.

Of course, Kai was teaching nothing new. But Kakashi didn't need to know that now did he?
