‘Don’t forget. Please remember me. You should never…forget‥.’

A desperate voice told him to remember a name that he couldn’t hear woke Duke Kyar up.

He burst into tears and wept while Isabella patted him on the back.

He quickly slipped out of her embrace when he got himself together.

“I’m all right now, Isabella. Please leave.” He spoke curtly without looking at her.

Duke Kyar knew that he was being immature, but he just couldn’t help it.

He was seething, and it was the most uncomfortable feeling he had experienced in his life.

He thought it was best to avoid her until this disappeared.

Sometimes he suddenly missed her, but fortunately, it was a little emotion that she could suppress.

“Your Highness, would you like to try this medicine?” He commanded her to leave, but she didn’t listen to him and instead offered him a medicine bottle. “It’s a new tranquilizer I made to make you sleep well. Please take this before you go to bed. I’m not certain if it would eliminate your mental pain, but I hope it would help.”

“All right, leave it behind.” He replied while avoiding her gaze.

“Before that, may I ask you one more question?”

Duke Kyar’s raised an eyebrow.

“I was wondering if I could go out tonight. I know that I don’t have to come to your bedroom anymore, but I’m asking in advance if you have a problem with it.”

“I don’t care.”

He answered bluntly, and it bothered him.

Where the hell was she going at night?

Was Isabella going on a date with Evan?

The thought seemed to pierce his brain.

“Yes, I will consider that as permission. Then,  I’ll be leaving, Your Highness.”

Duke Kyar stared at Isabella’s back as she walked out of the bedroom.

“Where are you going?”

In the end, the words coming out of his mouth betrayed him.

Isabella opened the bedroom door and looked back at him with a bright smile that even his cold heart began to react.

“I heard we could see a meteor shower tonight. I decided to go to the mountains and see them.”

Duke Kyar glowered at her.

“With who? Never mind, I’m not interested. Get out.” He said with clenched his teeth.

There was no need to be interested.

It was none of his business whether she went to see meteor showers with Evan in the mountains or not.

Contrary to those thoughts, his mind began to burn when he remembered something.

It was a conversation between Evan and the rest of the knights.

“We can see meteor showers tonight. It only happens once every five years. All of you will go with me, right?”

Evan’s fellow Knights showed little interest in his words.

“I’m too lazy. Just go and see them yourself.”

“Maybe it’s because you’re young, Evan. That is why you are passionate.”

The adverse reactions of his colleagues made Evan grin.

“I’m going to go see it anyway. It will be a waste if I miss it.”

Duke Kyar, who was quietly eavesdropping on their conversation, emitted a bitter chill in the atmosphere.

All the knights who gathered to talk about the meteor shower went dead silent.

“I notice that everyone seemed to have a terrible state of mind these days.”Duke Kyar drawled.

It made the knights look nervous.

“All of you will have a special drill tonight. Each leader will be responsible for their group. Make sure that every single Knight participates.”

Duke Kyar stared at Evan as he emphasized the word ‘every single one.

Then, he went out of the muzzle.

“Evan, did you do anything wrong to His Highness?” A knight who stood next to him asked.

Evan scratched his cheek and replied, “I don’t think so.”

He tilted his head in confusion.

As she climbed the mountain where her cabin was, a smile spread across Isabella’s lips

Flapping his wings, Ignis glanced behind and told Isabella. “The man is following us!”

Isabella was already aware that the Grand Duke had followed her at the castle’s gates ever since.

As soon as she heard about the meteor showers from Evan when he came to the pharmacy to buy some medicine, a good idea came to her head.

Refusing Evan’s invitation to go see the meteor shower together, she secretly told Grand Duke Kyar about it, instead.

Since he kept avoiding her, Isabella had no choice but to visit him in person.

She had no idea if this method, which she had used after remembering his jealous and worried nature in the past, would work.

That suspicious man wouldn’t just fit into her plans that easily.

He was walking behind her like a stealthy cat and she felt like she had to sacrifice herself a little bit to get that man to approach her.

“Oh my god!”

After sticking her feet in a large tree root on purpose, she lost her balance and flailed her arms around.

She was trying to pretend at first but then she really lost her balance when she slipped on the wet grass due to last night’s rain.

The Grand Duke didn’t come near her even though her body was leaning backward.

Just when she thought that her head would hit the ground, her body froze.

Archduke Kyar had wrapped Isabella in a warm and solid embrace.

At the same time, her frozen body returned to its original state.

“You’re so careless.”
