“I didn’t think about it much. I am not familiar with who the other knight was, so I just voted for you because I knew you.”

“At least you remembered my name,” Evan smirked, his dark blue eyes sparkling.

Perhaps, she should have voted for Lord Martin even if she hadn’t seen him before. She didn’t realize this man would give more meaning to a thoughtless vote she made.

“Seria!”

Prince Victor called Seria and Isabella was grateful for his interruption.

“See you next time, Isabella.”

Isabella might not want to see Evan again, but she didn’t expect him to just walk away without waiting for his response.

Positioning himself beside Seria, Victor pointed at Evan’s back and asked. “Who is that man?”

However, Seria didn’t respond and stared at Isabella with sparkling silver-gray eyes.

“Did you vote for Evan?”

“Well, it just happened. It’s–”

Conscious of Prince Victor’s presence, Isabella tried playing dumb. “What vote? I don’t know what you mean.”

“It is a special event where all the people in Rubella Castle vote for the most handsome Knight every year.”

How did Seria know about the event?

Oh.

Isabella nodded slowly.

Of course, Seria would know.

She had worked as a servant in Rubella Castle in the past when she lost her memories.

“What? There’s a vote like that?” Prince Victor asked.

Seria turned to face him. “Aren’t you supposed to be having tea with Duke Kyar?”

Prince Victor coughed and cleared his throat.

“Yes, we did have tea earlier, but I just came out for a second. I was just curious about the man just now.”

“Were you spying on me and my sister, Your Highness?”

“No, I just happened to look out the window and saw that man approaching you. So, that guy’s name is Evan?

“Your Highness.”

“I’m not jealous, alright? I’m just a little curious. Fine. I wouldn’t interrupt your conversation anymore. Just continue spending quality time with each other.”

Prince Victor turned his back on them and continued to brood.

Seria grinned as she watched his broad back.

Seria might be annoyed at Prince Victor’s excessive attention, but she didn’t seem to hate it.

“You don’t have time to date Prince Victor because of me, do you?”

“No, spending time with you is more precious to me, sister. Plus, I have to go to Arpeon in a few days with His Highness. You never know when we’ll see each other again.”

Seria sighed, regretting saying goodbye to Isabella.

“You can come over whenever you want to see me. No pressure.”

“Please visit Arpeon if you have time. I’ll pay for the teleport tower, so you don’t worry about the cost. Just tell me when you need me.”

“I will.”

“You promised. Please come and visit soon, sister.”

Isabella smiled brightly and nodded.

**

Duke Kyar frowned at Prince Victor when he entered his office again.

Unfortunately, he hadn’t been able to concentrate on the documents in his hands.

“Why are you here again?”

Prince Victor didn’t respond and immediately sat down on the sofa.

“I must have bothered Seria too much.” He said sullenly.

“I want you to know that you are doing the same thing to me.” Duke Kyar replied with gritted teeth.

“At least I figured out who that knight was. He seemed pretty close to Isabella.”

“I’m not interested.”

Duke Kyar said anxiously as he put the parchments aside.

“I heard that he had won first place in the popularity vote. There’s an event where people in Rubella Castle will pick the most handsome man among the Knights.  I had no idea that that kind of face would be popular. Oh, I guess Isabella voted for that knight, too.”

*CRACK*

The quill pen in Duke Kyar’s fingers broke into two.

“Allen?”

Prince Victor was bewildered when cold air came out of his skin.

“You’re annoyed because I am noisy, right? All right. Alright. I’m going.”

He misunderstood his anger and rose from the sofa sadly.

Prince Victor’s whining was just too much.

Why was he angry and upset all the time?

Maybe, it was because of that childish popularity vote.

Duke Kyar hurriedly reached for the rope, and the loud noise made a servant-in-waiting rush inside his office.

“Get Marc right now.” He ordered coldly.

“Yes, Your Highness.” The servant answered and exited the office as if the devil was at her heels.

Moments later, he heard another knock on his office door.

“Come in.’ Duke Kyar answered, and his office door opened.

“You were looking for me, Your Highness?”

“Are you aware of this strange event?”

“Strange event?”

“Yes, it’s a strange popularity vote about choosing the most handsome Knight in Rubella Castle. It’s very childish.”

“Oh, it was Anna who organized that popularity vote.”

He couldn’t believe that the maidservant held that stupid popularity vote.

Duke Kyar scowled even more.
