Chapter 71 - Xu Suying's Sixth Sense (2/3)

Ding!

Xiong Jingfei broke out from her reminiscing the old days. Reading what else Xu Suying has sent her.

Xu Suying: [You should come along to see what it's like. It doesn't take long.]

Xiong Jingfei wasn't sure to reply yes or no, yet.

Xu Suying and her family were diligent in making sure never to miss the two-year deadline. It only started around the time Xu Suying and Xiong Jingfei turned seventeen. Yes, it did take a while to convince them that their daughter sees "things" others can't.

Recalling what happened on that day brought chills to Xiong Jingfei.

They were in their last year of high school, and before she lost her voice. It was a typical day, with the sun bright in the sky, and their daily routine at school. Except for Xu Suying, she constantly mentioned that something was going to happen today.

"You're just overthinking and haven't slept well lately," Xiong Jingfei replied, organizing her papers for the next lesson. Seeing Xu Suying's glum expression, she put her hand against Xu Suying's forehead. "Did you want to go to the nurse's office to rest?"

Xu Suying didn't hesitate to nod her head. What Xiong Jingfei said was right, she hadn't slept well these past few days. She had constant nightmares every night. Thinking about it brought a sense of discomfort.

The most repetitive one was where she held onto someone in her arms and cried for help. However, no one in the crowd will hold out a helping hand. They were actually scorning at them and saying these traitors deserve it. Yet, she knew deep down they didn't.

Except for last night, it was stronger and more vivid. This time around, her dream was also different. She knew she was holding onto the same person, but her hands were wet and moist. It had a strong metallic smell, and it was coming from the person she held onto.

She was crying and begging for the person to wake up. Still, there was no response from the person she shook and screamed at.

"Please... I'm begging you. Please, wake up... What would I do without you? You are my only family."

Holding the person tightly in her embrace. She gently rocked her like a baby. Xu Suying on the inside felt that the person she was holding was dear to her. Like a baby, she raised and watched grow up to be a fine young woman.

"If you wake up right now, we will run away. Live far away from all these problems that weren't ours. I promise you that you can eat as many snacks as you want."

Xu Suying held back another loud cry from within her throat, "I won't scold you. I won't even mouth a complaint."

She wiped away the blood on the person's mouth. She didn't dare touch anywhere else, afraid she might get blood somewhere else on the person's face.

Rocking her, she quietly whispered words of separation, "I bid you farewell, my little sister. If there is such a thing as a next life, I promise..."

This was the part where she woke up from and didn't get a chance to hear the rest. The words were spilling out of her mouth, but it felt like she wasn't the person saying it.

Xu Suying doesn't even know who she was crying for. She could never see that person's face because it was a blur. Yet, she felt it deep down that she was truly heartbroken. She ended up crying until the sun unhid itself, and it was time for school.

"Did you want to wait for a few minutes with me? I'm waiting for Feng Huan to give me back my notebook." Xiong Jingfei asked, feeling bad she was going to make Xu Suying wait. "He should be here soon."

"No, it's fine. I'll go by myself first." Xu Suying got up from her seat and walked off on her own.

On that day, Xu Suying doesn't know why she refused to wait for Xiong Jingfei and wanted to go by herself. Because within that few minutes, Feng Huan did show up with Xiong Jingfei's notebook.

"I don't see your twin today?" Feng Huan chuckled, not seeing Xu Suying anywhere in sight. They were usually stuck together like glue. He rarely gets alone time with his girlfriend.

Xiong Jingfei gave Feng Huan the "look" and took back her notebook.

Taking advantage of the fact that Xu Suying was not around, he leaned in, "Can I get an award?"

"For using my notes?" Xiong Jingfei laughed, lightly hitting the notebook on Feng Huan's head.

"Yes?" Feng Huan smiled. Then bent down to Xiong Jingfei's height, "Please, my lady?"

The cold ice world in his eyes melted, but someone else's eyes were raging with fire.

Zhao Fan stared at both of them from a distance. Watching them banter with one another, and the way Feng Huan looked at Xiong Jingfei. She wanted to run inside the classroom and rip them apart. She took in one huge breath, "Remember, you are gentle and weak. Gentle and weak."

Calming herself down, she turned around, unable to watch them continue. However, not without a plan in her head. One day, she will do it. She will tear apart the prideful Xiong Jingfei down within one swoop. Make her feel the pain she is enduring like right now.

"Since the lady won't give in, I will give myself permission and do it myself." Feng Huan smirked, he leaned in and was about to plant a kiss on Xiong Jingfei's cheek.

Just as his lips touched her right cheek, a loud scream came down from the hallway. Students rushed from both directions and crowded on the stairwell.

"Someone fell!"

"Hurry! Go get the teacher!"

"Wait... I-isn't that Xu Suying?"

Xiong Jingfei dropped her organized papers. Xu Suying? She must have heard it wrong. Those people must have said the wrong name. It was impossible because Xu Suying was on her way to the nurse office located... Downstairs.

"Feifei!" Feng Huan called out after the Xiong Jingfei, who rushed out of the classroom.
