Chapter 209 65: The Red Dragon [1]

Once finished, he looked back towards Garnet, not breaking eye contact and stood upright, staring directly into the eyes of Princess Larian, whose face showed fear and disgust, but likely scared saying anything would offend the red dragon beside her, who was nodding with a pleased face, her tail almost crushing the expensive marble flooring into dust.

'This woman is different! No wonder no one could make her submit... that fish would have killed anyone who wasn't a dragon!'

After finishing, Garnet opened her eyes wider and breathed heavily, her body trembling as her legs lightly stomped as, under her weight, the stone floors began to vibrate.

Then she lowered herself back to land gently on her front paws and stretched out her neck towards Zell's nose, rubbing against his cheek with her rough scales. "That was delicious, right?" She purred softly. "You're quite strong for such a young dragon."

"…I am not your dragon," came Zell's reply.

Princess Larian frowned deeply and glared at him, clearly offended by his response; however, Garnet gave him an amused smile and nodded before her scaled hands, like beautiful red gauntlets, they looked the same as his armour during combat... the jewel in the back of her hand was a light blue, as the claws on her hands began to touch and mess with his face as if a child playing with a toy.

"Mmm... you are so strange... haha~ interesting...."

Those sharp talons touching his cheeks and forehead felt weird, but the fact that Garnet liked him and was so interested was good for him, especially knowing these feelings were mutual. He knew that this woman had to be special to warrant the attention of the royal family of Brittanica.

Larian snickered, leaning forwards to whisper to her guard.

A moment later, the group of knights stepped forward in a reverse wedge, almost surrounding Zell; little did they know that from when the door opened, Zell was standing there.

Alizée was less than two metres away, ready to kill should anything happen to him; he now smote her; how could she let him suffer any grievances, no matter how much she teased him?

And when those three females approached, Alizée couldn't help but take action. She jumped onto their backs, grabbing the leather straps that held their weapons and armour tightly, pulling hard, sending them tumbling backwards and knocking them unconscious. One knight tried to get up, but Alizée grabbed his arm and twisted it painfully, snapping bone and causing him to cry in agony.

"Rude woman! Who do you think you are attacking-" Sebastian's voice was stopped as his body felt a sudden shock, grasping his lower body and collapsing to the ground.

Alizée looked back to Zell, her foot pulling back from smashing into the nether regions of Sebastian as she looked towards the red-haired woman with wild hair and a powerful and alluring body.

She was tall, taller than most men or dragons; her breasts and hips were large enough to fill Zell's arms and body, her skin pale white with a hint of tan, making her look exotic.

Her hair was tied up in a ponytail, with a long strand hanging over her left shoulder, revealing a small tattoo on her collarbone; it resembled a dragon, with its wings folded across itself. The rest of her hair fell below her shoulders, reaching just past her waist; it was also dyed bright orange, giving it a fiery glow.

From the top of her head, where the hair parted, a pair of large white horns stood into the sky as if to resist all others, asserting her dominance.

She wore a beautiful black dress, now in tatters, that barely covered most of her torso, except for her bare midriff, which revealed her toned abs, and a thin strip of cloth covering her cleavage. In contrast, the bottom hem barely covered her thighs; it was cut off near the knees, exposing her calves and a small portion of her feet.

On her wrists, she wore gold and silver bracelets adorned with jewels, rubies, sapphires, diamonds, emeralds, pearls, and many other precious stones that glistened brightly in the sunlight.

Around her ankles, she wore boots made of soft leather with metal buckles attached to the sides. And finally, around her neck, she sported a necklace composed of dozens of gems, including a ruby pendant shaped like a dragon's head, which hung from a chain wrapped around her throat.

But none mattered to Alizée, who stared at the woman pensively. She noticed the look Zell gave her, feeling a sense of competition that this woman might steal her spot in his heart.

"Z...Zell... we should...." Chris was a true brother, despite his fear of the powerful women standing before them; Alizée and Garnet exuded a massive aura and heavy power.

However, he still tried to grasp Zell's arm and pull him to safety, using all the mana to resist the pressure and help Zell cope as he thought his friend couldn't use mana.

"...leave? I'm afraid you can't leave without my permission…." Larian almost shouted, her finger pointing towards Chris and Zell, the latter completely ignoring her as he merely stared at Garnet as she did him; there was a sudden feeling in his chest.

Lust, anger, pride, the desire to crush this haughty female dragon; he wanted to defeat and stand above her.

"Zell?"

Chris asked, feeling his body pushed away from Zell, the force equal if not close to the two horrifying women as he slid back several metres and staggered into the arms of his cute wife.

"Zell!!!" Chris shouted, about to draw his spear before his cute wife pulled his arm, kissing his cheek, her finger shaking to warn him.

"Now, now, calm down. Watch your friend; he's not as weak as you seem to think, darling."

Soothed by his cute wife, now controlled by her amazing physical power, he watched as Zell's body seemed to grow; he couldn't imagine what had happened and began rubbing his eyes.

Then a flash of black fire burst forth from his friend; he felt his chest tighten, worried it might be an attack from some enemy, his teeth clenching, having finally reunited. Chris never wished to see his friend struggle.

"Please... I have to help him... Esmera!"

Esmera chuckled at her husband's cute sense of friendship, something she never saw before in the flesh, causing her chest to throb, feeling more in love with her wonderful husband. Still, she tapped his nose, then pointed as the flames suddenly faded, as if sucked inside Zell's body, the billowing smoke fading as 'something' stood in his friend's place.

"See darling, who would have thought... Your best friend was also a red dragon.... although he seems to have darkness mixed inside him."

Her words caused a chill to run through Chris's spine, but he kept cool and focused on the situation. His eyes widened slightly as he realised the dragon-like figure standing before him was a Zell! His hand held a huge black sword, a golden dragon around the hilt, and countless gemstones of various colours shimmering in the grand hall.

His face was obscured behind a helmet resembling that of a dragon and some demon, with two curved horns and one long spiked horn from the centre of his forehead.

"Zell... What happened to you?" Chris whispered, the tone containing nothing but worry and concern.

As soon as he spoke, Zell turned to face him and smiled widely, showing his fangs and glowing yellow eyes. "Haha… I've been waiting for you, dear friend. I wanted to show you better or first in private, but this is the real me. You are too slow sometimes."

Distorted and deep laughter echoed throughout the vast chamber, causing every person present to recoil, even though it was coming from a pair of dragons.

"Hahahaha! I knew it; I knew it! The only reason I left that shitty prison... All for this moment! To meet you, now fight me! Show me your current worth!" Garnet bellowed, scales forming around her body like Zell, but unlike his that were a mixture of black and red, she was a pure red, beautiful and shimmering like embers of a flame; her face became more heroic, filled with golden scales as her eyes were golden like Zells.

Her beauty sent chills down everyone's spines, including Zell's, who found himself mesmerized by her presence and strength.

The two dragons circled each other slowly, neither wanting to lose sight of the other.

Thud! Tap!

Their feet slammed down with a heavy boom, followed by the tapping of their sharp claws, each watching their opponent as the surrounding crowd moved further away.

Tap!

Garnet's claw slashed upwards while Zell parried with his blade, moving quickly to avoid being hit by another strike. They continued to circle each other, trying to find an opening to attack or rather, this seemed like a mere warmup, as their bodies moved faster with each collision.

"Shall we start for real?" Zell asked, as his black-scaled hand lifted to the side of his face to block her powerful roundhouse kick, the power sending a powerful shockwave down his body, shaking his organs and numbing the arm.

"Yes, yes, let's fight... show me!" Her long tongue slipped from her lips as she looked entranced and delighted.

They began to gather power, both wanting to fight, the desire building in Zell's body more each moment this arrogant red dragon stood before him.

He liked her proud and arrogant style, unlike the Empire's princess!

'I cannot beat her, not even in my wildest dreams! But I will make her know I am not some weak-willed male she can treat as spoils and reward!'
