Chapter 25

Name:Descent of the Demon God Author:
Chun Yeowun spoke in a low voice and Yi Taekyun choked.

“Ugh… F… y….”

“Hmm?”

“Fuck… YOU!”

With that shout, Yi Taekyun pressed the button inside his left palm. At that, his equipment unleashed powerful sparks from within. Sparks ran through Chun Yeowun’s hands.

“NOW!”

Yi Taekyun’s finger showed a signal and all units pulled their triggers. Bullets fired, destroying everything around, including the phosphorescent light and turned the area to darkness. Only gunfire flashes brightened the area. They didn’t care about Yi Taekyun being held by the neck and fired. It seemed as if they were sacrificing the hostage, but they weren’t.

The bullet struck Yi Taekyun’s safety equipment, but they couldn’t penetrate through.

“Aaaarggh!’

Yi Taekyun’s vest and armor were specially made to be bulletproof. It was strong enough to even withstand sword qi. But it couldn’t absorb all the shock that came with the bullet, so he had to take in the pain.

‘Idiot! You think you are all-powerful because you are at the superior master level?’

He was shocked when Chun Yeowun appeared in the elevator. But he already had planned for the unexpected event of facing the target face to face.

‘Electrical shocks should paralyze his muscles and nerves, so he can’t shield himself with the energy.’

He wasn’t expecting to use such harsh measures, but it seemed like it was successful. And now, when all the bullets had run out, all he had to do was to free himself from the paralyzed hands on his neck.

*grab*

‘What?!’

The power of the grasp on his neck became stronger. The hand wasn’t paralyzed at all.

‘W-what is going on?!’

Yi Taekyun tried to bring up his internal energy to free himself but—

-CRACK

“Ugh…”

His neck was snapped, and with a gasp, his body fell silently.

‘?!’

All agents who were firing sensed something was wrong. The video of Yi Taekyun was swinging aimlessly while looking down.

‘Huh? Did he faint?’

They thought a master level could withstand such pain. It was weird, but they thought they couldn’t fire any longer with Yi Taekyun unconscious and one of the leaders, Punggi shouted.

“Cease fire! Cease fire!”

“Yes, sir!”

They were almost running out of ammo, so they all stopped firing. But it was too dark to see anything.

‘What’s going on?’

All units pressed the button on their helmets and their goggles turned their sights to night vision mode. Their sights turned red and they became shocked by what they were seeing.

‘W…what in the world…’

They had to question the sight before their eyes. They were certain that all the bullets they fired had mostly hit the target. But all the bullets were hovering in the air as if they had hit an invisible wall and were stuck there.

‘This is impossible…’

It was terrifying to see hundreds of bullets floating in the air. This was not an energy shield that most Yulinians employed to protect themselves. They were all trained in martial arts, so they knew what this was and what it wasn’t.

“This… is a superior master stage?”

It wasn’t an energy shield, but a wall of an air created by powerful energy beyond imagination. This was not something that could be done even for a superior master stage warrior.

“Huh?”

That’s when they saw Yi Taekyun slumped down on the ground. They figured Yi Taekyun had fainted by the pain of bullets hitting his armor, but instead, he had turned into a dead body.

“D-dammmit!! Fire…”

Punggi became shocked and tried to order his team to start firing again, but Chun Yeowun waved his hand at them. And…

*ssssshhhhh*

“Aaaaargh!”

“Ugh!”

Hundreds of bullets floating in front of Chun Yeowun shot back toward the Special Force units and penetrated through them. The bulletproof armor that could withstand bullets or sword qi were useless against the attack. The bullets pierced their bodies and they all fell to the ground.

*BAM*

Agent Gyochung, who was watching from the Surveillance Room, slammed the desk with his two fists. 9 head cameras from the special force units immediately went dark as the bullets destroyed the cameras. The only one that was safe was Yi Taekyun’s camera, but it only showed the cold dark corridor floor, so there was no way to find out what was happening.

“W-what is going on?”
