Chapter 155 155 – From A Hill

[Vorn's POV]

I walked to the prison accompanied by two minotaurs and two succubi. Emily immediately bowed as soon as she saw me.

"Good morning, prophet." I stood in front of the cell, wearing a smile, then glanced at the empty bowl in the corner of the cell.

I know that Velvet needs the energy to escape. She was waiting for the right moment.

Hell, I will never let her do that.

The prophet was silent and only glanced at me.

I nodded my head at one of my accompanying succubi. She then unlocked the cell.

"How about we take a walk for a bit?" I approached that woman, but she turned her face to me. "Or do you prefer me to carry you like a prince carrying his princess again?"

She stared at me with a disgusted look, and I just grinned.

"Come on." I crouched before her, holding out my hand. "You know you can't fight yet, right?"

The prophet sighed and stood up but refused to hold my hand.

"I'll show you some interesting stuff, Velvet Byrne." I widened my smile.

It didn't snow much that day, but it was still quite chilly. We walked on the frozen ground, and sometimes my underlings bowed to me.

And then, I saw skeleton B sitting on the ground.

"You know, while still having the flesh and being the same age as you, I can do better rolls than you, Alain." The undead muttered.

Alain, the orphan with a face full of freckles and orange hair, snorted in annoyance, wearing a shirt full of dirt. He then did a sideways roll alternately right and left.

"Ah, lord Vorn." Skeleton B stood up and bowed. "Good morning."

I raised a hand with a smile. "I just wanted to check on Alain."

"He…" Velvet raised an eyebrow seeing that boy.

I shrugged. "He's the only orphan who wants to be a warrior, so we give him what he needs. One of them is a trainer."

Alain fell when he was about to do the umpteenth roll. And when he saw me, he snorted hard.

"I will absolutely defeat you, lord Vorn!" He shouted while pointing at me.

"Let's go." I continued on my way without responding. The little boy just kept nagging, and I ignored him.

So, Velvet. I spread my hands. "Did you see what you were thinking all this time? Did you see the cruelty from us? Hell, you've seen the prisoners, right? They are well-fed and healthy. Yes, there is one who is so skinny, but that's because of his choice. "

The prophet glanced around. Maybe she was scouting the perimeter, trying to find the most effective escape route.

Well, that's up to her, but I'm sure she'll be mine before she finds a way to escape.

On the way, we also passed the arena where the minotaurs wrestle and the mini soccer area. Velvet paused to observe the individuals of various races kicking the ball in the cage.

"We always try to provide entertainment to the residents of this place." I smiled, seeing the excitement of the soccer players. Because the last few days it had snowed, they could only play now when the weather was better. I would like to make a mini soccer indoor playground. "This is so that their minds are fresh. With fresh minds, I'm sure their performance will be more optimal. I'm also thinking about several types of new games…."

I stopped what I was saying when I found the prophet already facing the other way, at a succubus who was teasing a minotaur. It didn't take long for them to separate themselves from the others and go somewhere.

"You must think that their actions are very bad and disgusting. How can they do that with those who are not their husband or wife and sometimes with more than one individual?" I put my hands behind my back. "But look at it from the other side. The succubi will always satisfy the lustful desires of these followers of mine. So, the risk of them raping women becomes very small during war or in other situations."

"That's why the residents here are mostly succubus?" She finally responded to me, albeit with a cold tone.

I got a little closer to her. "Yes, you're right. Succubi love sex. And whatever kinks their partners ask for, those women will enjoy it, no matter how extreme it is. So, it's a win-win, really. Everyone's happy."

Her hands clenched and slightly trembled. I know she wants to argue about this practice but can't come up with any good reasoning.

Want to use God's name? It won't work on us, who are mostly demons.

"Now I want to ask you." I drew my ear closer to hers. "In the Durcia kingdom or the Arcaind country, do they care for the soldiers and workers to this extent?"

She still didn't answer, and I just shrugged.

"Let's proceed to the next destination."

This time it took us a few minutes to arrive at a hill. I signaled my companions to stop, then Velvet and I climbed up there.

"He was your opponent back then. Ritor." When we got to the top, I pointed at Ritor, standing in a field with some remaining snow. That minotaur general looks a little weird because he wears a yellow scarf. Lana must have forced him to wear that thing.

"That…" Velvet slightly opened her mouth when she found Lana running around the minotaur while laughing. The woman with wavy brown hair then threw a snowball at her lover.

"She was originally a human, but she became a demon," I explained. "She forced herself to drink a transforming potion still in the research stage. Do you know why? Because she wants to unite with her lover."

"Th-they are lovers?"

Ritor throws a snowball back, but he makes it too big. Lana fell with her head covered in snow.

The minotaur general clutched his head in panic and ran over to his lover. However, Lana could get up quickly, laughing again while pointing at that huge creature.

Ritor breathed a sigh of relief, lifted Lana's body, then spun around. The woman initially screamed, but eventually, her laughter returned.

"You know why Ritor was so tough when he fought you back then?" I kept looking at that odd-looking couple. After a few moments of waiting for an answer, I continued. "That's because he wants to meet his girlfriend again, someone who sincerely loves him. Yes, even though his figure is hideous like that, his feelings for that woman are pure."

The prophet lowered her head and returned to silence. Just now, I indirectly said the reason Velvet couldn't beat Ritor was because the minotaur didn't think anything horrible at that time. He wants to survive so he can come back to Lana.

In the holy book, a prophet can only defeat those whose hearts are filled with evil.
