165 Child of The Dark Flame (Cyra)

Seeing the dark flame coming out of his fingers, Blake’s body flinched backward, hitting the back of his head on Robus’ huge body, or more precisely, to the darkness binding that was still around Robus’ body.

“I can summon fire with just a thought...” Blake muttered out loud as he repeated the same thing and sent a little bit more nether through his fingers, causing more sparks of dark flame to come out of his fingers.

‘This is definitely a very worthwhile investment to use one spot of my covenants...’ Blake thought to himself before finally looking at the variant type demon that had given him such power.

But when his eyes laid on Cyra, the variant type demon, Blake couldn’t help but blink several times as the Cyra that he currently saw with the memories he had of her couldn’t be more different looking.

Her skin tone going several tones darker from bright red to burgundy or maroon was just a minor change that could be said to be negligible compared to other changes she had after making the covenant with Blake.

Instead of bright red flames covering her whole body, now, the only parts of her body that were surrounded by flames were her chest and her lower body. And instead of bright red flames, the flames that covered her body were the same dark flames that came out of Blake’s fingers.

And Blake didn’t seem to be the only one who was confused by this development.

Cyra, who used to have her whole body on fire and it took all her might to control her flame so that she wouldn’t leave a trail of fire whenever she goes and burned everything around her, was now standing with her two feet, completely relaxed, not even trying to control her flames from blazing out, as there were not even a spark of flame to begin with.

Just like how Blake looked at her top to bottom to make sure that it was really her, the flame elemental variant type demon that he was seeing, Cyra was also doing the same thing and looked at her body from every possible angle to see whether she was really looking at herself.

.....

She looked at her hands, no flames. She then looked at her body, also no flames. She then looked at the bottom of her feet, no flames, and the grass around her feet wasn’t charred either.

As if she still didn’t believe what was happening to her, Cyra slowly lowered her body, moving her hand with caution, gradually getting it closer to the grass in front of her.

She did it very slowly and carefully until the tip of her finger touched a single blade of grass, then stopped as if her whole body was frozen in ice.

She just kept the tip of her finger with the blade of grass unmoving for several seconds before she reached out more of her fingers to touch even more blades of grass.

Once all her five fingers had touched the grass and not a single fire appeared, Cyra put her other hand beside the first one before she dropped her body down and started rolling on the ground.

She rolled with all of her body touching the grass below, she rolled to the left, rolled to the right, and moved as much as she wanted.

She then stood back up and her eyes were literally lit up with glee as her mouth smiled from ear to ear. ‘Things are not burning... There are no flames...’ She thought to herself.

Cyra then finally looked to the side, to the demon that had talked to her and made a promise to her.

“Thank you very much, Blake!” She said as if she had known his name for a long time, just like how Blake knew her name after they agreed on the covenant.

“You’re welcome, Cyra. You also helped me a lot.” Blake smiled as he returned Cyra’s smile which was filled with pure delight and joy.

Seeing Blake’s smile that didn’t lose in sincerity with her own, and also now with the connection that they had with each other, Cyra could also feel the genuine happiness that Blake felt.

Albeit the reason was different from hers, Blake really felt ecstatic getting such an ‘OP’ power for himself, and the pure joy that he felt where reflected in his heart and the smile that he showed to the little demoness.

As if to express her overflowing happiness, Cyra jumped up high, landing straight on top of Blake’s body, which jerked Blake’s body backward, once again hitting Robus’ huge body that was still unable to move due to the darkness binding spell.

Cyra wrapped her hands around Blake, hugging him for the second time, and this time, Blake didn’t need to send nether to his dark earth armor because there wasn’t any intense heat trying to melt the rocks and his face down.

Blake considered Cyra to be a little demoness, and from her petite figure, which was only slightly taller than Blake’s stomach, Blake’s definition of her was justified.

Moreover, now when she hugged him, Blake just felt as if being hugged by one of the smaller kids back at his orphanage, which led him to unconsciously move his hands and patted the little demoness’ head.

Which the latter seem to have taken a liking to as she closed her eyes and rested her head on Blake’s chest as she enjoyed the gentle patting that the dark earth-covered hands gave her.

“Cyra, you can call me brother if you want.” Blake unconsciously told her as he now rubbed the back of her head.

Cyra, being oblivious to the concept of families, didn’t know what the word brother means, but she liked the sound of it, and when she tried saying it,

“Okay brother!” The word just rolled off her tongue as if it was natural for her to call Blake brother so she went with it.

“Rrr...”

A sudden growling sound was heard from the cushion that the two, Blake and Cyra were using to rest their body on, and Blake quickly remembered that there was something important that he was forgetting.
