Chapter 295 - She Has Lost It

New York,

Luna walks into Raymond's study with two mugs of coffee she makes for Raymond and his cousin, Harry.

"Hey, take a little break," Luna said softly to Raymond before she turns around and hands the cup to Harry with a smile. "You too, Harry."

Harry nods his head. Agreeing with Luna's suggestion. Ever since yesterday, he has been staying at Raymond's apartment. Working on the evidence and sort out everything that happens five years ago. 

Raymond seems determined to 'kill' his father using the law. As for right now, James has already fled into hiding. While his aunt, Barbara, has been brought back to New York hospital for the forensic team to do a thorough check before they can do the funeral for her.

It such a heartbreaking to see someone you know end up like that. Even though that person is not as good as you thought, her presence still has an impact on your life as she's been with Wayne for more than thirty years. Harry sighs.

"She's right, Raymond. We should take a little break. You didn't sleep since last night too." He went to the sofa and sat down while Luna following him from behind. Not long after, Raymond walks to the couch and leans his head on the cushion. Close his eyes to resting for a moment.

They're right, he hasn't been sleeping since last night. And now, his head feels a little light and his eyes' socket crying to him to close it.

"Oh, did you hear any word from Liam?" Luna start as she remembers what Dania told her yesterday. About pooling the evidence together and Liam got a new lead about the murder case of Dr. Fang.

Harry turned his head to the girl. "Yeah, he said that he found new evidence. But the guy refuses to be the witness. The only thing he has right now is only the recording of that guy's voice. And they still had no lead about the people who were slaughtering the victim."

"Is there a reason why he didn't want to be a witness? We can pretty much protect him or his family, didn't we?"

"Seems like he was afraid. He's been in hiding for years because he thought someone was after him. After all, he's an eyewitness of a murder case. Well, I think whoever did that must be someone's from under the organization. But, we uncertain of which organization they belong to."

"Haa~ that's tough. So, what about the evidence in James' mansion? Can't we find any lead to that organization" Luna is a bit curious as she didn't have a chance to ask Raymond yesterday? 

"The evidence?" Harry put down his coffee mug on the table before taking out a flash drive from his pocket. "It contains all the worker's information who help James, skinning the body. Besides that, It all contains the drug photos they use and the only thing related to the worker and not the mastermind behind this. Even though we all know who did it, we still can't prove it. We must have something concrete to charge James. Even now, the police are still searching for him and the worker inside the house."

Luna opens her mouth a little while nodding her head. "Ah…then, what about the evidence that Sky is working on? I heard Sky make a deal with Raymond.." she glances a little at Raymond, who was already napping while still holding his coffee mug.

"He told you that?" Harry frowned. He didn't expect that Raymond will be too transparent with his wife. After all, the deal between Sky involving him to remove Alex's share from the company.

This means that if Sky provides them the proof, they have to give up Alex's position as the next leader. Is she…okay with all of that?

Luna carefully holds the mug on Raymond's hand and put it down on the table. "Uh-huh..he told me about it, and I don't really want my son to be the next leader, you see." Luna casually replies to him while helping Raymond to lay down on the couch.

"As you know, I married the one who was supposed to be the leader, but because of what happened back then, all the effort that James and Barbara put all those years has gone downhill. It makes them go crazy. I don't want to be like them. To be honest, I don't want to experience anything like that ever again." she smiles and continues.

"I rather live as a normal citizen. Even if we might be poor, I'm sure we'll be just as happy as we are now. I've decided.." while she was talking, she staring at Raymond's face while caressing his hair a little.

"After all of this comes to an end, I want my little family to live where we both first met. I want a simple life, far from this craziness and busy town. I miss the sceneries back in my hometown. I miss my childhood memories, and I often want to visit my parents' tomb later. So…I don't want Alex to have anything with Wayne's legacy anymore." She turns her head to Harry and smiles.

"Hmm..I'm sure your little family will be happy, Luna. If you already decide it like that then...I guess we can just wait for Sky to return." Harry reply to her as he took another sip of the coffee.

"Return? Is he not in the mansion? I remember the last time I saw him, he was at the main mansion." Luna tilts her head. Yup, she was sure that she saw Sky last time. That kid looks a little bit like Alex, except that he's more reserved than her boisterous son. 

"Yup. He's gone into the isolation room, according to his butler. I think he is just working on finding the evidence. He's a man of his word. Believe in him."

Chuckles, Luna went back to her seat and sat down. "I think he'll be a great leader in the future."

"You don't mind your son lose his seat as the next leader?"

"No..no at all. I know my son. I think they both could be good friends if they met."

Nods his head, Harry once again agree with Luna. He'll be a good friend in the future. For him, Sky may sound rude and cold, but he actually kinda kind.

Meanwhile, 

Lily gasp in excitement. "Oh! Oh! It's starting now!" her fingers start to dance on the keyboard as Alex scrunching his eyebrow, looking at the girl who looks weird when she's excited.

"Why are you so excited?"

"Heh.." Lily smirk while still focusing on the screen. "Because, from this cyber fight, I could test my own limit. That's why I'm a little excited right now."

Alex shakes his head. "A fight between genius, huh?" he then averts his eyes to the tab's screen that is showing the location of everyone from CIA, which already ready in their position, surrounding the place.

As the attack from Sky already invades the world bank system, all alert notification start to pop up from CIA headquarters. They probably in a panic right now.

"Lily?? The money flooding out, do something!" Caitlin, from the communication line through Eli, was already anxious. If this fails, the world will be in chaos.

"I know. Just wait for a few more seconds." Lily said. She squints her eyes while trying as fast as she can to prevent it from flooding out. 'Come on, come on, come on! Work you little shi-'

"Oh?! God!"

"What? What happen??" Alex immediately springs up from his seat.

Smiling winningly, Lily starts counting. "Five…Four…Three…"

"Lily?? Lily??" While Caitlin at the other side of the line is already sweating anxiously. What reason should she give to her higher-ups if this fails?

"Two…and...One!"

Beep! The alert notification which is red now turning green.

"Yes!!! Yes!!! I won!! I won!!" Lily takes off her headphone and start running around the room while throwing all of her dolls on the bed into the air.

"Lily??? Hello???"

Seeing Lily has lost it, Alex picks up the headphone and says, "Sorry, Miss Caitlin. She...she has lost it."

"What???!!!" Caitlin's almost faint. 'Did she fail?'

"Oh, no..no, Miss Caitlin." Alex's immediately correcting his word again. "I meant, Lily has stopped the money from flooding out. So..your mission will start about…"

He looks up at the girl who is still enjoying the victory. "Um, Lily…can they start to invade now?" Alex asked while he's still on the comm with Caitlin.

Like she was just wake up from the dream. "Ah! Right!" she then ran back to her table and took the headphones from Alex.

"Hi, sorry Caitlin, I was too…happy." She giggles and starts to type something on the keyboard before she's suddenly squinting her eyes again.

"Wait…what is this?" Lily's focusing on the footage before she sent it to Caitlin. It was footage of people she believes are the bad guys who start collapsing one by one like they were drugged or something.

"I think this is a green light from Sky to attack them. You can start your mission now, agent Caitlin."

"Got it, Lily."

"Uh…wait. I need you or Agent Flynn to retrieve Sky. He probably at the highest lounge. I'll send you the floor plan now." After she got the affirmative from Caitlin, she clasps both of her fingers and brings it to her lips.

"Please be safe, Sky…they're on their way." she praying that Sky will be safe and the mission will be a success.

Pat on Lily's back, Alex smile at her. "He will. Because it was you who save him this time."
