Chapter 233 - Why The Effect Doesn't Work?

Luna stares at her dress. It fits her perfectly and matches with Raymond's tuxedo. She walks out of the bedroom and nods to her head to both of her lady maids.

They have to carry their duty to find more evidence and mix in with the guest to dig some more information. Rose and Dania did not wear anything that shows them as a maid. Instead, they wear a cocktail dress too to cover up their identity.

Luna walks elegantly to the ballroom, where most of the guests have gathered up there. The slow music lightens the mood, and Luna can hear a dull murmur from inside the hall, talking about her and her identity, which never known to these socialites.

Luna ignores all the eyes who look at her as she was continuously looking for Raymond. After a few minutes, she saw Raymond was talking to someone who she didn't even know. But the girl he was talking to was blushed while they were engaging with the topics.

Luna doesn't like what she sees right now and goes to them with a smile on her face. "Honey," Luna whispers to him while tugs her hands to Raymond's sleeve.

Turning to Luna, Raymond smile and introduce her to that girl. "Princess Ameena, this is my fiancee. Luna Arista." He said, and the girl looked a bit surprised.

"Luna Arista?" She lifts her eyebrow, and Luna holds out her hand to the girl. Luna and princess Ameena handshake for a moment before she noticed that the princess was eyeing her from top to toe. Like judging her identity.

"I never knew you had moved on to another girl, Mr. Raymond. I thought you're still single." She giggles and sips her drink while Raymond only smiles at her comment.

"Raymond likes to surprise people," Luna said and took a glass of champagne from the tray when the waiter passed by them.

"Yes, no doubt about it." Princess Ameena agrees with her. Like now, she was a bit surprised to know that she was already taken. Just when he thought of advancing to know him better.

"So, about the project that I mentioned earlier, Mr. Raymond," She turned her eyes to Raymond, who still smiles at Luna's side. "Send me the details when you are free. My people will contact you later."

"Sure, Princess," Raymond said gently, and Luna raises her brow to him. Just a few minutes ago, she told him not to attract any girl's attention, and here he is right now. Charming a princess from the country that she never knows of. But the point is ... she's a princess! A real princess in real life.

"Well, I'll see you again." She said with a hint of flirting on her voice. Her eyes are still shimmering when looking at Luna's man, and she only smiles, looking at Luna.

Luna Smiles back at her. Just after she's gone in the crowd of people, Luna turns around to look at Raymond. She glares at him and walks to the banquet table on the outside deck.

Raymond was dumbfounded when Luna glared at him. He follows her from behind. "What's wrong, baby?" he asked in a low voice.

"You…" Luna turns around and shoves his mouth with rolled of sushi. "Umpf!" Raymond shocked and still eat the sushi she pushed to his mouth. He is chewing it while scrunching his eyebrow.

"You really a sweet talker. I just told you not to attract any woman, and yet you've done it without any hesitation." Luna huffed before she took a roasted meat slice and stared at the kitchen helper who's been there, hearing their conversation.

"Give me that." Luna points her finger at the barbeque station. The kitchen helper scrunches his eyebrow and lifts a sausage to her.

"Not that, I want that corn." Luna angrily said, and the kitchen helper guy immediately understands and pick up a cob of corn using the kitchen thong and place it on Luna's plate.

Swallowing the sushi, Raymond chuckles to see her angry face looking at the innocent kitchen helper guy. He then caresses the top of her hair and kisses on it. "I don't have any feelings for her, dear. You're the only one I love. If that makes you uncomfortable to see me with another woman, then.."

He tilts his head and thinking for a bit. "I'll make sure to not do it in front of you." with that reply, Raymond a got pinch on his arm.

"Ow.," he said while giggling. Luna squinted her eyes and walk to another table, taking a dessert and fill up her plate.

"Baby..it just a business matter. I do meet a lot of businesswomen while conducting a meeting, it's normal. But, I never laid my eyes to another girl. Even they might 'like' me, but I will not go further than doing business."

Luna sighs. She knew. It's not about not trusting him, but she still feels insecure inside. What if..she can get rid of Sarah but end up, Raymond found another interest in another girl in the future. Then, what about her? What about Alex? She still afraid of losing him after they've been reunited again.

"I'm sorry. I was just..emotional a bit." Luna murmur and took a bite of the dessert from her plate.

"I'm not mad at you, baby. Your angry face is precious to me because it's mean that you truly love me, and I glad to know that." Raymond and Luna leave the banquet table.

At the barbeque place, Flynn looked at the couple with a bit frown. 'Woman is really a weird creature. Hope that agent Caitlin is not like her.'

On the other side of the ballroom, James and Barbara enter the ballroom went to the center of the hall. They greet most of their friends and some of their business partners. Barbara manages to cover her orange hair with a hat, and no one seems to notice it yet.

While they were talking, James got a call from someone and excused himself to a private room. Dania, who saw it, then decide to follow him secretly. While Rose still engaging with other guests.

The highlight of the event starting with the couple entering the hall. They look beautiful together, and the audience started clapping their hands. Welcoming them with a warm hug and putting on a kind word for greeting the couple.

Ramona's appearance tonight does get Luna's attention, and she then glances at Rose, who already went back to her side. "Why the effect doesn't work?" Luna whispers to her, and Rose scrunch her eyebrow a bit.

"Hmm...I think I never saw her get out of her room today, Lady Luna. But, from my judgment, the effect is already starting. It's only her putting on a makeup to cover up her breakout skin." Rose explains the things, and Luna nods afterward.

After looking at it carefully, she could see there's a tiny line fondation crack on her side's lips. It seems like she's putting too much makeup on her face tonight.

"Is it okay to wear too much makeup? I think the more I see her, and the more obvious her make up is going to ruin at any moment now." She still commenting about Ramona's appearance while Raymond at her side, talking about business with another potential company's representative.

"Hmm..if my prediction is right, the effect on putting on too much chemical on the skin which is exposed to the irritation and burn could cause a severe effect on her skin. Maybe it'll be active more irritation, blister, and can even darken her skin like sun poisoning symptoms."

"Oh, dear~" Luna covers her mouth a bit and looks at Rose. "So, are we gonna get caught for it?" she starts worried that Rose or Dania could be arrested for being a suspect to harm them.

Smiling at Luna, Rose shakes her head. "No worries. There'll be no trace at all."

"Are you sure?"

"Of course. I'm an expert in making chemicals solutions. If you want to make a 'bomb,' I also can provide it to you." She whispers to her the 'bomb' word.

Luna's eyes widen a bit. Shocked and surprise. 'How capable my maid is! No wonder Brian seems delighted when I chose Rose.'

The real reason why she chose Rose is that she looks capable of carrying out her duty and talk less. She doesn't say any unnecessary things to her and straight to the point.

She like that attitude of hers.

"Um, I don't need something like that yet, but thank you for the offer." Luna smiles and looks at the couple again. But anywhere near the party, she couldn't see Sarah at all.
