Chapter 161 - I'm Sorry For Your Loss

July 2014,

Today is Luna's wedding anniversary day and she thought of celebrating it with her family tonight. Since her 'husband' is not here and she doesn't want to know about him anymore, she decides to go to her parents' house.

With Mr. Carson driving her to her parents' house, she's humming happily at his side while looking at the cake case she placed at the backseat.

"You look happy today." Mr. Carson said. He can see Luna already start to move on a bit. Maybe she did not burden her mind thinking about that man? Who knows?

"Really? I just thought that I miss my parents." She averts her eyes back to the man beside her.

"Oh, by the way…um, I don't know how to talk about this thing..but uh..your 'thing' is running low. Should we buy some on the way back from your family house later?" He feels embarrassed to talk about this. Since the mansion had only two maids, he had to do the item inventory in each of the bedrooms. Including Luna's private item.

"What thing?" She dumbly asks.

Suck his teeth, he tilts his head a bit and squinting his eyes a little, "Your…tampon?"

Luna gasps. Now she's the one who's blushed. Yup, that thing. "Oh! I haven't.." She stops her sentence and immediately took out her phone.

Looking at his period tracker apps, she gulped a bit. "I'm late."

"Hm, late? No..we're on time. Should I accelerate a bit?" Mr. Carson looks at the car's meter. They go at the right speed limit.

"No..I mean.." Luna caresses her belly slowly. "Remind me to go to the pharmacy on the way back." She said and leaned her head back, staring at the outside of the window.

'Am I..bearing his child?'

The moment their car entering Luna's parents' neighborhood, she heard a siren sound and it's followed with a few sirens again. She then turns to Mr. Carson who looks a bit anxious.

"What happens? Why is everyone at their lawn?" She looks at the peoples who stand at their lawn, looking at something around that junction.

Mr. Carson pulls over their car a bit far since they can't go any further anymore. The road is blocked and there's one firetruck, three ambulances, and two police cars at the junction near Luna's parents' house.

"Something must've happened. Let's go." Mr. Carson said, he then opens the car door and saw Luna already jogs to someone before she pats on someone's shoulder.

"Aunt Ruby, what happens there?" She asked her neighbor which look surprised to see her.

"Luna?! Oh my god! It's horrible! Your family! Your family-" She screamed to her with teary eyes which attract other people to look at her too.

"Luna? Is she Stella's daughter? Oh my god! It's so sad.."

"Luna..please be patience, child. Your family's now in a 'better' place."

One by one of her family's neighbor starts to calm her down which only make it worse for her. She slowly walks to the end of the junction and saw that her house was burned to the ground.

The house ground was full of the black ash and there are a few firefighters try to find something under the ruins. She's almost faint from looking at her parents' house state. She's crying and shouting, calling her mother, father and grandma's name. "M-mom!! D-Dad!! Grandma!!" Hoping that they could reply to her calls.

Everyone around there could only sob looked at how helpless she is now. When she saw a rescuer pushing a stretcher bed which is covered with a white cloth on it, she runs to it.

"Excuse me, miss-"

"She's their daughter. Let her see her parents, please." One of the neighbors said to the girl who worked as the rescuer and the girl nodded her head.

"I'm sorry for your loss, ma'am." She sadly said before she leaves Luna at the three other stretchers.

Trembling, Luna touch the cloth and wasn't ready to look at what underneath the cloth. "Don't look if you weren't ready." Mr. Carson touches at her shoulder. Feeling mournful for what happened to her. One after another tragedy keeps coming to her life.

Sobbing, Luna turns around and cry on Mr. Carson's chest. She wasn't able to speak one word at all. Not until one of the sheriffs which on duty to come to her for questioning her.

She was brought to the police station and questioned. All that she knows is..the neighbor around her parents' house said that they saw a suspicious man keep lingering around her house these past few days.

And today, her parents were out downtown and only return in the evening. Her mother was supposed to cook dinner and when she turning on the stove, her house suddenly blows up and no one survives. It also damaged two of her neighbor's house but luckily both of the houses did not have any life casualties.

She was so shocked and wasn't able to think straight. After she's done at the police station, she was brought to the morgue and see her parents for the last time before she went back to her mansion.

Her family funeral will be held the next day at the downtown church and she was alone to settle everything. Most of her parents' neighbors and her two best friends return to give their last respect and comforted her with encouraging words.

"Your parent is an example of a good husband and wife. They're such friendly people, I believe they're in a good place now. You take care, child, God will always with you." Said one of the neighbors to which Luna wipes her tears. "Thank you." She replies and kisses both of the old's woman cheek.

Mr. Carson and two of her maids were there too, helping her with the funeral and support her mental. When they walked to the cemetery ground, two black cars parked at the side road and the bodyguard of that car then help to open the passenger door.

Victoria, Liam, and Sabrina was just landing and went straight to the cemetery ground. They were totally shocked when received a piece of news to what happens to her from her own private butler. Charles's father.

It such a miracle moment when her butler asks her permission to go out of the bunker for a short time and that's when he receives a call from his son, telling him of what happened to them in SC.

With a hurry, he went back to the bunker and deliver the news to Victoria and she hurriedly returns back to SC.

As for Liam and Sabrina, it was Victoria who informing them. Luna did not have both of their contact information so she thought Luna probably didn't inform them both too.

When he saw the poor girl was crying, her heart ached a bit. She couldn't find Raymond silhouette nor any of her other family members in the crowd.

"Why there's only Luna standing there?" She asked her butler which then the old Carson lowered his head a bit.

"I believe, there something must've happened when we're gone."

Victoria clenched her fist. "Check what had happened while I was gone," She said and linking her arm to Liam's arm, walking through the small alleys and met the girl.

Upon seeing the old woman, Luna runs to her and hugs her and cry loudly on her shoulder. Releasing all of her sadness to her without saying a word. It such a heart-wrenching moment for all who saw that scene.
