Chapter 148 - Definitely Love You

A rustling sounds make Luna slowly opened her eyes, adjusting her eyes from the light on the table lamp and she saw Raymond was sitting at the edge of the bed with his robe and taking a few pills before he drinks it.

Luna lay on her side and look at the man which then he turns around and a bit startled to see her watches him.

"Oh, hi. Sorry, did I disturb your sleeping?" He asked and get on the bed, ready to sleep.

Luna shakes her head and says, "No..are you feeling unwell, Raymond?" She averts her eyes to the bedside table.

Raymond shakes his head slowly, "No, just a little headache." He smiled and put the medicine case inside the drawer before he turns to the side to look at her in dim light.

Looking at the man, she then touches his cheek. "I'm sorry...maybe I'm the one who makes you had a headache." Feeling a bit gloomy.

"Why's that? Did you fight with one of them?" He took Luna's hand and kiss on top of it.

Luna turned silent, she then stares at Raymond's grey eyes and asking him with a bit sadness in her tone. "Raymond...do you love me?"

Startled, Raymond scrunching his eyebrows and says "Why you suddenly asked me that question?"

Luna starts to tear up a bit. "Sorry that I asked you this question. But, be honest with me, please.."

Raymond sighing and sit up again and Luna also does the same. They both sit facing each other before Raymond started. "Look, Luna... I've told you this before, for now...I don't know what kind of feelings I have for you. You're new to me..but, maybe...I am interested in you."

Luna tears flow down like a broken dam. She immediately wipes her tears with her hands. "Sorry...I didn't mean to cry.." she tried hard to smile but it was really hard to do so and the tears won't stop either.

"Luna.. you shouldn't cry...you know that your crying only affecting me..stop crying, okay?" He pulls her body to his embrace tightly and rubs her back of her body to calm her down.

"I may still not love you yet...but I will..someday...I promise you, okay? You know I'm not the person who easily opens up my heart to just anyone and you... You are now starting to entering my heart, so be patience..once you're deep inside of my heart, I will never let you go. I will always by your sides. You're literally my 'home' and I will always find my way back home. So, don't worry, okay?" He tries to encourage her even he doesn't know why she suddenly turns so sensitive tonight.

Luna still sobbing and she nods her head slightly. She feels so insecure now with how things have turned when Sarah comes back to his life..she was afraid, afraid of losing him. She was already deeply in love with this man. What if...one day, he decided to leave her?

Will she be able to go through it? She had a feeling that her wild thought will become reality any time soon. "I'm sorry my emotions kinda down lately and I..." Luna sobs and continue, "I think I'm near my period, so that's why I'm easily getting down."

"I'm sorry too that my answer didn't meet your expectations. Give me time to love you. I will, no! Definitely...definitely love you back." He kissed her head. Reassuring her that he will love her, it just right now..he needs to think on how to survive first with his worsening condition by each day.

"Hurry up and love me, you idiot.," Luna mumbled and wipe her tears. She knows the 'night' Raymond will not back from his promises. He's cold, but that's what she likes about him, he kinda loyal and trustworthy person.

"Be patience.." He flickered her forehead before he continues again. "You know, I would like to spend all of my life with you. Grow old with you and yeah we can bickering too and use the bed as a solution to each of our problems. What will our kids look like? How I wish I had a long life with you."

Luna frowned and he smiles at her and kissed her lips lightly. "Sleep now, Luna..see, you embarrassing me by saying those cheesy lines. This is so not me. This is new and feels weird too. I have to adjust the 'new' me before I totally in love with you. Urgh!" He grumbles.

Luna chuckles and lays back on the bed. True, he changed so much, so maybe it will not hurt to wait for a little bit longer. "Raymond..." She touched his cheek again with both of her hands. Looking deep into his beautiful grey eyes before she's saying, "I love you even though I know you don't love me yet, but...I just want you to know how my feeling to you. I didn't do all the things I do with you half-hearted. Know that, I will always love you."

Raymond turned silent and smile looking at her before he kissed on her forehead. "I didn't do it half-hearted too. Now, close your eyes."

After Luna falls asleep, he went to the balcony. Running his hands through his hair, take a deep breath. Mumbling alone, "What should I do with you if my life is a ticking bomb and I can't give you what you want?" He rubs his face a few times. Feeling so complex.

"And why you show me that face saying you love me even though I didn't love you... You don't know how hard for me to not falls for you. Now you really did broke my walls. Damn, Luna.."

The next day,

Luna was in the back garden, planting a new baby hydrangea flower into a small pot before it grows and needs to be transferred to the ground. While she was humming happily while gardening, suddenly someone approaching her from behind.

With her hand on the back, she smiles and went to Luna. "You look happy... I heard that you made the sunflower garden, you really know to plant a flower, didn't you?" Sarah said to which Luna lift up her head to look at the girl.

"What do you want?" She coldly asked. She's not buying with her sudden 'nice' attitude like everyone else.

"Aw~ come on..you're so cold to me. I am the one who should be cold to you, you know.." She chuckles and runs her finger on the little soil on the table.

"Cut your crap. Just say your point." She glances at her before she averts her eyes back to the pot. Scoop the soil into the pot before watering it.

Cleaning her hands, Sarah lean on the table while facing the girl which from her eyes, not so beautiful and too plain, like a country bumpkin girl.

"Well, my point is…you should stop dreaming now. I'll get him back. You..were just his plaything. I've known him for nearly 20 years and eight years in the relationship, while you? You were just knowing him for less than six months…he can't love you as he loves me, you should know that by now. See how they always come back to me? I believe you're not blind yet, aren't you?" She smirked mockingly at her.

Luna exhales and looks at her. "Of course he will not love me as to how he loves you, because we're not the same person. I'm not as fake as you. The number doesn't mean anything if you didn't appreciate each moment of it in the first place, we'll see who among us he will choose in the end. Is that what you want to hear from me?"

"I'm not going to back down from taking him back to my side," Sarah state in a challenging tone.

"Well, challenge accepted." Luna shrugged her shoulder and Sarah leaves her afterward.

Once she has gone, Luna sighs. "It's okay…I trust Raymond. He'll definitely love me back." she tries to encourage herself by telling that to herself.
