Chapter 141 - Between The First And The Last

Victoria looks at Sarah with a bit irritated. How dare she decides to use her room and look so innocent right now. However, she did not say it as they are now in the dining room.

Having to see this two couple who is harmoniously sitting down at one table and talked so carefreely make her at least enjoyed the dinner. Sabrina was so modest. She can talk about various topics and very knowledgeable. That's for sure.

She likes how Sabrina keeps cut Sarah's word and disagrees with all of her 'opinion.' Yup, Sabrina is more assertive than Luna nor Jessica, Henry's wife.

But looked at Luna, she was happily sitting there with Raymond and they keep arguing and end up with being kissed by Raymond when he tries to shut Luna's mouth or when he can no longer argue with her. And this scenery only hurts someone's heart which makes Victoria happy inwardly.

"So, Li..your girlfriend is your secretary and you both living together now?" Raymond repeats the question as he couldn't believe his brother had hit on his secretary.

"That's right Raym.." Liam reply with a smile on his face.

"Wow..how did you handle work and personal matter? I mean.."

"We do argue a lot. Actually, about almost everything. But, that's just a bridge to get us closer." Sabrina said and looked up at the man beside her and crinkle her nose a bit.

"Yep, and don't ask me how I handle it. She's the boss at home. And I'm the boss in the workplace. Professionalism."

Luna softly laughs. "Lucky at least there's a 'Who's the boss' while I'm…" she tilted her head to Raymond and squinted her eyes a bit.

"Always get bossed by this man." She chuckles and took another sip of wine. Now she can adapt to the wine and still not more than three glass.

Lifting up his eyebrow, Raymond gapes his mouth open and put down the glass on the table. "Oh…and you dare to defy this 'boss'? huh?" He pokes his finger on her left side and it makes her squeals a bit.

"Raymond," She giggles and puts down the glass. Surrender.

"Oh, you sounded so boring. Anyway, don't get too happy now. Even someone who married a decade can get a divorce, let alone a couple of a few years or months only." Ramona makes a 'bleh' and boring face.

Sarah immediately agreed with her. "She's right. Even if we shared a sweet moment now, there's no guarantee it will last forever, there's always someone else who's much better you'll meet in the future. Right, Raymond?" She purposely highlights Raymond's name and it has drawn Luna to stop her smile and avert her eyes to the dishes on the table.

"Oh, well. I guess it's time for my special dessert." She put the napkin on the table and ready to leave the table but was stop when Sabrina suddenly said,

"I don't agree with your statement. It is we who define our path. If you do not love your partner enough, even your whole life won't get satisfies by your greedy needs. Given you, thousands of men also will not satisfy you or meet your standards. It's you who don't know how to hold something precious and don't blame others because of it, girl." she smiles and also put down her napkin on the table before she averts her eyes to Luna.

"Luna, you said you made a dessert? Let me help you, okay?" She stands up and follows Luna to the kitchen.

While Sarah once again clenched her jaw and sip her drink to subside her anger a bit. Victoria at the end of the table could only saw and entertained by the scene just now.

At the kitchen, Sabrina helps her to take out the pudding from the oven and compliment her for the look of the pudding. Well, of course, it was with the help of the chef.

"Um, so hey…I think I got a bit of gist of what happened to you and that bitch. That's why she's bitter toward you, huh? But, don't let her get in your way, darling." Sabrina pat on her shoulder, try to encourage her to have more faith in Raymond and trust him.

"I don't know, Sabi. She was Raymond's first love. And I'm not. I'm not his first of everything. I feel like I'm the homewrecker here. I…"

"Darl, you may not the first of his everything, but who've thought that maybe you're his last? Okay, between the first and the last, which one would you prefer?" She crossed her hands on her chest.

Luna frowned. "What's the difference?"

Chuckles, Sabrina slip her hair on the back of her ear, "Okay, listen.. everyone has their first, but not every first is the one we'll end up with. We'll end up with the last. True, the first somehow is hard to get rid of, but the last will remain and something that will never change after that. So, remember this..whatever happens, the last will win. Not the first. So, make sure you'll be the last. Don't let her get your spot again."

Again, Luna frowned. Not sure of her meaning, but she still nods her head. "Okay. Not let her get my spot again, right?"

"Yup, that's right. Her time already finishes, it's yours now and show her who's the lead." She still encouraging her. A bit sassy, but yeah..that's how she survives to keep the flies from hovering Liam all these years.

Luna chuckles and somehow, she feels at ease talking with her. "Alright, now..let's bring this to the dining hall." She lifts up the plate from the kitchen island and followed by Sabrina.

After dinner and some chat at the living hall, Luna went to the terrace garden on the second floor.

She always read her book at the swing rattan chair while having night breeze air. In Beaufort, even it's December, it's not that cold like in the New York nor other areas, it just chilly a little bit.

Raymond now probably in his study room as he always hole up in there to do his work and only return to the room when she already wants to go to sleep, only to bully her and annoyed her like it's his only entertainment. But she doesn't mind that.

While she was spacing out, Raymond stand with his one legs rested and lean on the door panel, "What're you looking at?" he asked.

Startled, Luna almost falling her book in her hands before she then turns around to look at the man who stands at the doorframe not far from her.

"Um.." she averts her eyes and points out her finger to the sky absentmindedly, "stars."

Raymond also averts his eyes to the sky and squinted his eyes a bit. "I don't see any stars. Did you lie to me?" He walks to her slowly.

Gulped, Luna shakes her head, "N-no." She stammering a bit and Raymond easily puts his hands on both sides of her waist to lift her up, before he sits on the cushion and puts her sit on his laps.

"Raymond.. there are guests in our house." She reminds him but he didn't listen and pull her waist against his torso and crashed his mouth to hers.

"I don't care. All I want is you. You're worried weren't you?" He asked above their hot breath.

"I-"

"I'll show you that you should not worry." Raymond nips on her lips and moves to her neckline and down to her collarbone which Luna gasps a bit, try to not let out a moan.

"Raymond.."

"Say that you want me too.." He still continues to nibble on her breast and she couldn't hold her voice anymore.

"Yes, please." She huskily said to his ear.

With that being said, Raymond suddenly raises up and carries her to their bedroom. Giving her need with his utmost best service.
