Chapter 115 - The Girl Is Dead

Luna slowly opens her eyes when she feels her hand a bit numb. She tried to move her hand slowly, only then she noticed that a man is sleeping beside her while sitting on the chair.

His hands were holding her hands, and that's why she feels a bit numb. Gently, Luna stroke his hair. He looks tired and not even change his clothes at all. Does it mean he was staying here since last night?

"Mm.." Raymond lifts up his head and looks at the girl. She looks a bit calmer now.

"What time is it?" he sits up straight and looks at his watches. A bit surprised when he saw it's already 8 o'clock. Just when he wants to say something, a nurse comes into the room with a set of new bandages.

"Excuse me, Sir, Ma'am. It's time to change your bandage." The nurse said politely.

Raymond nods his head and stands up to give the nurse space to change Luna's bandage.

When the nurse starts to take off Luna's bandage on her arms, she turned her head to the man who still standing at the corner of the room. Squinted her eyes, she says, "Why are you still here?"

Raymond folds his arm on his chest. Casually reply to her, "I've seen every inch of your body, what else to be ashamed of?"

Dumbfounded, Luna's mouth gape open while the nurse also hiding her smiles while changing the bandage.

Just after she's done changing the bandage, the automatic door once again was open by someone which makes Luna avert her eyes to the man at the sides.

Raymond also frowned once he saw who visited them early in the morning. "What are you doing here?" He asked the girl who walked into the room.

The girl then smiles and lifts up her right hand. Holding a bag. "Your mom calls me, telling me that you're not returned home last night, so I bring your changing clothes. And.." She averts her eyes to the girl on the hospital bed before she lifts up her left hand. "I brought a flower for you."

"How's your feeling?" She takes a seat at the edge of the bed while Raymond takes the bag and the flower. Act friendly to her.

Luna did not reply to her as she averts her eyes to Raymond and glare at him. Clearly, she angry with Sarah's presence in her room.

Sarah looks at both of them which clearly exchanging a glare toward each other. "Are you not talking to me now? Did you resent me that much?" Her eyes start teary a bit.

Luna leans her head on the pillow, try to take a nap while ignoring the flies who comes to her room early in the morning.

Sarah gasps and turns her body to Raymond. Hoping that he will say something, but he also did not utter one word at all as he takes his toothbrush and went to the bathrooms.

A few minutes later, he comes out and already refreshing himself. While Sarah sitting on the soft couch, waiting for him. Raymond then went to the bed and sit at the edge of the bed. He holds Luna's hand which is still hard to move. Caress on top of her hand.

"I'll return back quickly. Charles and Dr. Fang should be here any moments now. So they will guard you while I am away, okay?" He said to her and went to take the car keys and his wallet on the bedside table.

Looking at the girl who still sitting on the couch, Raymond then gestures her to follow him out of the room. Both of them walked out of the room later and leaving Luna alone in the room.

But, as Raymond said before. Mr. Carson and Dr. Fang did arrive in her isolation room not long after they have gone. Both of the men look so worried.

"My lady, are you alright?" Mr. Carson asked. He then checks on her physical condition which looks like she suffers from a severe burn. Dr. Fang did not wait long as he then read the report at the top of the bedhead.

Chuckles, Luna feels happy to see these two men. "I'm alright. It just your boss exaggerating about my burn and asked the Dr who in charge of me to wrap me like a mummy." Luna explains it to them.

Dr. Fang frowned. Just as Luna said, her burn is not that severe and yet, she looks just like a mummy in ancient ages. But, from the report he read, she also got some serious conditions which need more attention.

"How did this happen to you? How did you get burned by Sulfuric Acid?" Dr. Fang takes a seat beside her, looking at the poor girl right now. His fatherly instinct comes out when he looked at her. The same goes for Mr. Carson. He feels like Luna is his younger little sister that needs to be protected.

"Um..well, I don't really know how, but it starts from…" She starts telling them what had happened when she staying in the mansion until how she ends up in here.

At the last when she told them, she requests to be treated at their home. She only feels safe when she's there. It wrenched both of the men's heart to see her crying.

"It's alright now. I'll talk with Dr who in charge of your case. I think we can move you back to the mansion in one or two more days. So, be patient. Okay?" Dr. Fang tries to comfort her.

"I'll talk with Master Raymond and don't worry, I think he'll agree if you were back to the mansion with us." Mr. Carson also encourages her to stay positive.

Just after Luna falls asleep not long after, they went to the cafeteria and discuss this matter on how to convince the 'night' Raymond to agree with their request.

They don't know if Raymond knew about it or not, but they have a gut telling them that the culprit is within between the Wayne family. If Luna staying more longer in this city, she probably will end up dead.

The attempt to murder her is aggressive now as they dare to sneak into the hospital building just to mess with her medication.

Raymond parks his car in front of the New York Police Department building. When he got out, Sarah also follows him from behind. Like a pair of celebrities. All eyes looking at the couple entering the building.

"Mr. Wayne." Detective Murray greets him at the front of the reception counter. He was just about to go out, but after seeing the man he holds his thought first.

He knew his reason to comes here and the case also is under his investigation.

"Detective, hows the interrogation going?" He straightly asked.

Pat on his shoulder, Detective Murray lead him to his office first. The girl behind them also obediently following them, which Detective Murray did not give much attention to it.

Once they entered the office, Detective Murray closes the door and offer him a bottle of mineral. "Unfortunately, Mr. Wayne, the girl is dead. I'm just about to fetch the autopsy result at the lab and you came at the right time."

Raymond was shocked. He then frowned and asked. "How did she die? Did she reveal who's the mastermind or order her to do so?"

Detective Murray shakes his head helplessly. "All she says is..she doesn't intend to do it. After more than twenty-four hours being held in jail, she banged her head to the wall and her body only noticed by one of the guards who in charge of cleaning the dishes from the cell."
