Chapter 89 - I Don't Want To Run Away

"Ah! Seriously??" Jamal laughs when he pulls a block with a mark on it. It seems like he has to be a victim tonight.

"Good job Jay. Your first turn, turned into a stroke of luck eh?" Brian then spinning the bottle on the table before it stops in front of himself.

Luna and Raymond both look at the bottle while looking at the man who suddenly turns into a serious mood from the wide smile he shows earlier.

"Congratulations, your expression song first." Raymond clapping his hand and looked at Jamal beside him.

"Come on, sing a song that expresses him. We're not gonna judges you." Raymond said again and give him the guitar he brought before.

Actually, he borrows it from his friend for tonight. Just thought it might light up the mood. Jamal then starts to pluck the strings...

"Hello, my love…It's getting cold on this island~"

"Pfttt…hahaha…." Luna and Raymond burst into a laugh when Jamal try to copy a girl's voice singing an Island Blues song.

Brian almost chocked a bit. But he still asking Jamal to continue singing.

"I'm sad alone….I'm so sad on my own~"

Alex and Lily looked at each other. "Have you ever heard that song before?" Alex asked. It's kinda new to his song list. He never heard it before.

Lily shrugged her shoulder. "No..but why the song is on the island?"

"Truth is….We were much too young~"

"Now I'm looking for you….or anyone like you~"

"Alright, alright…stop.." Brian finally asks Jamal to stop while his face already turned red, holding himself from laughing at him.

"Is it a 'yes'?" Jamal smiles widely looking at the man. Brian shakes his head. "No, you totally wrong.."

"Aw…come on.."

"That's okay..we go for next round first and you still have to sing for the next round until you got it correct..is that okay?" Brian asked everyone.

"I'm good." Raymond shrugged his shoulder. Not minding it as he never fails before.

Luna also shrugged her shoulder. "I'm okay with that too."

"Alright..next.."

A few rounds are done and finally, the bottle stops at Raymond and the one who had to sing is still Jamal.

"Alright, Jay..just sing anything for me. You have to do it properly this time so that another person could take your role." Raymond smile at him.

"Okay…" Jamal then squinted his eyes a bit to Raymond, before he nods his head. "I got a song for you..get ready guys.."

He plucks the guitar strings again.

"Remember when I told you 'no matter where I go, I'll never leave your side you will never be alone,'

Luna and Raymond startled and silent when Jamal sing this song. It's like this song has a deep meaning for both of them.

"Even when we go through changes, even when we're old… remember that I told you I'll find my back home."

Jamal stops and looks at the man, lifting his eyebrow a bit. "So, did I guess it right this time?"

Chuckles, Raymond claps his hand to the man. "Bravo..you've managed to guess what's on my face. Or, actually, I just pity you so let another person take your role."

Luna lowered her head and play with her finger for a little, try to distract herself with something else and thought that the songs don't have any deeper meaning to her.

The next round is Brian who got the marked block and the bottle stopped at Luna.

Luna look at the man and smiles. "Sing a song for me, please."

Brian nods his head. "Okay…Let see.." He then plucks a guitar string into a bit cheer sound.

"All I need is a little love in my life, all I need is a little love in the dark, A little but I'm hoping it might kick start…me and my broken heart.."

Luna laughs... ' Seriously? He thought that I'm that desperate?'

"I need a little loving tonight, hold me so I'm not falling apart…A little, but I'm hoping it might kick start, me and my broken heart!" He stops and bows his head to the girl which is she clapping her hand happily.

On the other side, Raymond's face already darkens a bit when he heard that lyric. ' What's in his head? Wanna make love with my wife?!'

"Uh…is that a 'yes'?" Jamal tries to break the intense look in Raymond's face by asking the couple question.

Luna laughs again while shaking her head. "No…that's totally wrong."

They played until its quite late and finally Lily and Alex fall asleep, sleeping on the beach bench.

"I'll send the kids first," Brian said as he carries Lily in his embrace going to the room, Raymond then offers his help to carry Alex inside the hotel room.

Only Luna and Jamal were left at the beach. She looking at the night sea while sighing deeply. Suck a fresh air and close her eyes.

"Luna…you wanna me to sing a song that a certain someone would like to sing for you?" Jamal asked. He thought that she looks a bit uncomfortable when Raymond is close to her. Maybe he can give her a bit of hint of what in Raymond's mind?

"Sure..what song?" She said.

"Um.." Jamal plucks the guitar again into a song that he thought Luna would know it. "This song.."

Luna nod and start to listen to it.

"....I don't want to run away but I can't take it, I don't understand, If I'm not made for you then why does my heart tell me that I am? Is there any way that I can stay in your arms?

"If I don't need you then why am I crying on my bed? If I don't need you then why does your name resound in my head? If you're not for me then why does this distance maim my life? If you're not for me then why do I dream of you as my wife?

"I don't know why you're so far away, but I know that this much is true, we'll make it through, and I hope you are the one I share my life with, and I wish that you could be the one I die with, and I pray in you're the one I build my home with, I hope I love you all my life"

Raymond who just returned to the beach bench heard Jamal's singing on the beach with Luna wiping her tears. She touches Jamal's arm with a little smile on her face.

"Don't read me too much, it's impossible between me and him, Jay."

Raymond's heart feels like its been squeeze into something that hurt him so much. He did not approach them as he returns back to the hotel with his heart ached.

'Why didn't you tell me what's inside your heart? What's secret that you hold these past five years?'
