Chapter 82 - Her Story And Not Us

Raymond sits on the beach for a few more hours before he deciding to return to his room. Still, he couldn't let her go just like that. Not after he finally found her after through these hell years alone. The only thing he can do right now is to wait for the DNA result to be out and find any concrete proof that she is Luna Wayne.

But what bothered him more right now is why did she keep denying her identity? Why she tightly seal her lips for what happened to them years ago? Those blank years keep haunting him but no one wants to tell him what is really happen. Not even Luna wants to talk about it. Is it a taboo topic to ask?

"Come on, now. You've gone this far…don't back down just because she said so." He murmurs while running his finger through his sleek hair.

Brian's room.

"Alex…" Lily nudges her brother's arm while rolling around the bed. She feels sorry for him when they were eavesdropping their mother, somehow Alex turned gloomy after hearing the crying sound.

"Hm?" Alex did not move from the bed at all. He keeps staring at the headphone blankly.

"Listen, if..if your dad did not succeed, how about we just let mama live the way we already are? I mean, my daddy will always be at our sides, she was happy even before your dad come, right?" Lily intending to persuade him but Alex shakes his head and turns his head around, looking at the girl with a bit disapproving face.

"No..just because mama doesn't want to talk about it now, doesn't mean she is fine, Lily. She was hurt! And to overcome that, she first must face it. She can't keep running away for the rest of her life like this. It's….it'll just make her even sadder. We may not know about 'love' between them, but I know when my mama sad. And I hate to see it. I hate the feeling that I couldn't do anything for her. Sorry, Lily. I still want to force the truth from her."

Lily sighs when Alex already said that. Nothing she can do to make him back down right now. She also agrees with Alex about the helpless feeling to see a person who raises her with love since she was a baby is sad because she can't face the problem that she keeps locked inside her heart.

"Then…let do this until you got your answer. But, Alex…truly, I really want mama to end up with daddy you know.." She pat on his shoulder.

Smiling, Alex says, "I know. But, it's mama's choice, her story and not us."

Nod her head, Lily then turns off the device and lay down on the bed, staring at the ceiling blankly. "We should sleep now."

Alex also turns his body around and lay down beside her. "Yeah.." both of them fall asleep not long afterward.

Meanwhile, Brian who still in Luna's room staying at her side until she finally falls asleep. Adjusting her position on the bed, Brian then tugs the comforter until it reaches her neck and slips her hair strand behind her ear.

"You'll overcome this one day. Just…don't wait until you regret like me, Luna. There's nothing you can do if that happens. And remember that..I'll always at your back." He sighing slowly and leaves the room.

Just after he closed the door, he was stared by a man who leans on the wall, folding both of his arms into his chest.

"Is she asleep?" Raymond asked. Seeing a man going out from his wife's room surely will make his blood boiled, but for this case tonight, he just let it slide, knowing that they both didn't do anything. He trusts her.

Brian nod and walk to his room, ready to leave the man at the corridor. Before pulling the doorknob, he looks at the man with a deathly gaze.

"Hey...If you can't give her happiness, you better don't hurt her nor show up in front of her again. If you still play dumb, my man won't stay down." He coldly warned him before he went inside the room.

Raymond at the corridor did not say anything as he pressed his lips together and leave to his hotel room after some time.

September 2013

"hmm~ hmm~ hmm~" Luna happily humming while cooking in the kitchen. Today she clock-out early from work and planning on cooking something for dinner.

It's been long since she meets with the 'day' Raymond and she kinda misses him. When she arrives home, Mr. Carson said that Raymond is in the shower and she leaves the message on the table for him to come down once he's done showering.

While stirring the sauce using spatula right and left, a pair of hand wrapped around her waist which makes Luna flinch a bit.

"Hmm…What did you cook today?" a gentle kiss land on her nape and Luna sighs dispiritedly.

"Spaghetti." She replies it short. She thought today she will meet with 'day' Raymond but instead, she met with Ray.

Chuckles, the man teased her again. "What? You sound like you disappointed when you know it's me." He tickling her waist which makes Luna jump and laugh.

"No! Ray, stop it!" She laughs while still holding the spatula. Because of the tickles, she unconsciously turns her body around and the spatula with a sauce on it hits Ray's face.

Both of them immediately stop. Luna giggling and find a kitchen towel before she handed it to Raymond for him to wipe the sauce on his face.

The froze Raymond then took the towel and wipe it cleanly. "Does it hurt?" Luna tiptoeing and try to look at his face.

The moment he opens his eyes, both of them stare at each other's eyes for a few seconds before Raymond took the initiative to broke the silence.

"What did you do this time?" Raymond asked.

Luna was dumbfounded a moment. 'Seriously??' She blinks her eyes a few times before she turns around and tilts her head around. Suddenly she got a goosebumps feeling.

'Uh-oh..'

Took another spatula, Luna keep stirring the sauce in the pan with so many questions in her head.

"Making dinner?" Raymond then walked to the kitchen island when Luna did not reply to him and took out the plate and the glass, setting a table for two.

"Yeah," Luna replies it a bit late and when she turned around, she did not see the man. She then turns off the stove and ready to serve the spaghetti into the plate. That is when Raymond suddenly approaching her with a bottle of wine in his hand. 'He went to the wine cellar to pick a wine?'

"Great. It's been long since last I eat your cooking. Is 1947, good?" He lifts up the Cheval Blanc wine bottle to her like asking her opinion.

"Mhm." Luna nodded her head with a small smile. 'Just for a simple dinner with 300 thousand dollar wine?'

Mr. Carson at the side of the corner who just walks in the kitchen suddenly interrupts their conversation. "Uh, do you want to lit up a candle? Or set a table at the garden, Master?"

Luna and Raymond suddenly look at each other before Raymond smile a little. "No. Just make sure no one is going into the kitchen."

That smile…is the first time she ever saw it carved on the 'night' Raymond's lips ever since they marry. It looks so genuine.
