Chapter 64 - Bark All You Want

"Alex, here's the breakfast for you." Luna put down a plate of local dessert food on the table in front of her son. Morning temp in this country makes her sweating a bit and she automatically fanning her face before she sits down right in front of Alex.

Raymond who saw her sweating face, take out his mineral bottle and give it to her. "Here."

Luna startled and looked at the man. "Um, thank you, Mister Ray. But, my drink is will arrive later." She rejects his offer politely before she took her cutlery and look at a bowl of noodles she bought for her breakfast.

Raymond did not reply to her as he also averting his eyes to her noodles bowl for breakfast. "Is it a curry noodle?" He took a guess when he saw the soup with slightly orange color covering on the noodle, it contains eggs, various veg and even meat inside the bowl. It's quite heavy in calories for breakfast in his opinion.

"No, they say this is Mee Rebus. I don't know, I once eat in another city but it looks different. Maybe it is different for each state." Luna says and she scoops one spoon of noodles afterward. Chewing it while nodding her head a little.

Alex ignoring them as he starts to fill his stomach with what his mother brought for him. He's not a picky eater, what his mom gives, that's what he eats. And he likes to try a new thing when they were on travel. It'll help to gain his knowledge about food.

"How does it taste?" Raymond's a bit intriguing with how Luna's look when she eats the noodles.

Squinted, Luna shoves the bowl to him. She still chewing and she gives him the spoon and the fork. "Hm." She unconsciously offering him to taste the noodles itself.

Took the spoon and the fork from her hands, Raymond took a scoop and taste the dishes. He squinted a bit to the taste. It's not spicy and it has a salty taste a bit.

"So?" Luna asked after she swallowed.

"Hmm..so-so, I guess?" Raymond took the mineral bottle and open it before he drank it.

"Well, there's a good Mee Rebus in a certain place I know. Maybe you should try it too. The taste is different, I guarantee you."

Raymond smile hearing that. "Yeah, take me there, someday."

Luna stops eating and looked at the man who still has a sweet smile on his face. 'Ah, dammit. Why did I say that?'

A few seconds after, Brian return back to their table with two plates of breakfast on his hand. "Lily, are you okay with this?" Asked Brian. One plate is for his daughter and one is for him. He takes a seat beside his daughter which is in the center between him and Luna.

Lily looks at the plate which is filled with roti canai 1 . She then nodded her head. It is something that she used to eat back at home. "Yes, daddy. Thank you." She starts digging in.

Raymond glance at Brian's plate, he bought a plate of blue color rice with so many side dishes on his plate. 'Really, is this country start their day with heavy dishes like this?'

"Sorry, I'm late, Mister Ray. Here," Jamal put down his breakfast plate in front of him before he put down his own plate and sit beside him.

Raymond sigh in relief when Jamal only bring him two egg half-cooked and toast. "They also serve this for breakfast?" His curiosity slips out from his mouth.

"Uh.." Jamal squinted a bit. "Yeah, they do..but you have to request it from a certain stall." He smiles and later, a boy with a tray brings their drink over the table.

Just after the boy left, Brian scoffing at Raymond's question.

"Maybe you should learn how to get off from your white horse, Mr. Wayne. Learn how commoner lives and adapt to their environment here. Or.." He smirked a bit. "You should never come here in the first place." Brian scoops his rice before he eats it.

Raymond stares at him with a small smile on his face. "Uh-huh? Aren't you the one who supposedly not to butt in into other people's matter? Bark all you want Mr. Lawrence, I will not back down from getting back what's mine."

Luna rolled her eyes, annoyed with these two adult men who act like a child in front of the children since yesterday. Can't they just shut up and eat their breakfast peacefully?

Jamal gulped and pretending not hearing anything from these two guys. They surely have some grudge toward each other. 'It's better to not squish in the middle of them.' Jamal thought and sip his coffee.

"What's yours again?" Brian irked a bit with Raymond's word.

"You know what I mean, Mr. Lawrence."

Luna grit her teeth. "Be quiet you two! Just eat your damn breakfast peacefully, can't you?" Luna raises her voice and panting a bit while looking at both of them.

Alex finishing his last breakfast and drink his warm chocolate drink before he gets down and pat on his mama's back. "Calm down, mama."

Lily also finishing her breakfast and nodded her head. "Yeah, mama. Hurry up and finish your breakfast. Lily can't wait to ride the ferry." She smiles adorably to which makes Luna calm a bit.

"Sorry honey, I raise my voice." Luna pats on both of their heads.

For the two 'adult' men there, they were totally stunned by Luna's voice. Well, she usually composed and rarely raising her voice to other people. Is she does that, meaning she really annoyed with them?

Just after she finished her breakfast, she took her bag and bring the kids to the Jetty.

"I'll be waiting there. Take your time to finish your breakfast." Luna said before she leaves the table and food court area.

She just walks to the Jetty station which is not far from where they have their breakfast. When she arrived at the Jetty, there already peoples who waiting for the ferry too in the waiting area.

"Wow..even though today's a weekday, there are still many people in here." Luna murmur and holding both her child's hand, finding for an available seat.

After Luna finds two empty seats, she instructs Alex and Lily to sit down while she leans at the pillar and guarding them from the side.

"Have you guys check your thing in the car before we leave?" Luna asked, afraid they forgot to bring their toys with them.

Alex nodded his head. "I have my iPod and gadget here." He pats on his small backpack.

"Don't stick with your gadget all the time. It's not good for your social interaction, okay?" Luna reminds him before she averts her eyes to her daughter afterward.

"What about you, Lily?"

Lily lifts up her pony doll. "I have mine, here." She smiles adorably before she gently caresses the pony doll's hair.

Alex glances over at her and rolled his eyes. 'Yeah, right...I know you have a whole set of 'toys' inside your backpack too.'

"Good girl." Luna bends down and kisses the top of her head.
