Chapter 593: Escape from the Ancient City Ruins

Only noticing Chu Yang after he had already managed to reach the edge of the massive crater, the Core Formation Realm demon beast standing closest to the location Chu Yang was rushing towards tilted its head in a slightly confused manner.

Roaring loudly upon realizing this, the demon beast quickly informed the other demon beasts still busy recovering from the earlier clash with the badly damaged pagoda before dashing towards the escaping Chu Yang.

Reacting only shortly after hearing about this, the rabbit demon beasts with a pair of cute horns on its head responded to the information about the human escaping, as it charged in the direction Chu Yang.

Rumble~

Soon, the Core Formation Realm demon beasts that could still move after being injured by the badly damaged pagoda and the rest of the demon beasts below the Core Formation Realm all responded to the rabbit demon beasts call, as all of them began moving in the direction that Chu Yang had escaped.

The only demon beasts still left staying around the crater at this point in time, were the Core Formation Realm demon beasts who had been too injured to move earlier and had been forced to stay in place to recover before moving anywhere.

Escaping through the ancient city ruins without looking back in the direction he had come from; Chu Yang could not help feeling happy after recalling how he had managed to escape from the crater without having to fight a single demon beast.

At first, Chu Yang had thought he would be forced to fight his way out of an encirclement before he could leave the crater… But this had not happened, and he had been able to leave the crater without fighting a single demon beast on the way out.

Mostly because the demon beasts that had blocked his path were all below the Core Formation Realm and had no way to stop him from jumping over them and escaping into the dense ancient city ruins behind them before they even had the chance to process the fact that he was even there in the first place.

But there is still that rabbit demon beast with the pair of horns… It should be above the Sixth Stage of the Core Formation Realm. Having at least reached the late stage of the Core Formation Realm! Catching up with me should not be too hard for such a powerful demon beast, I just hope that it only reached the Seventh Stage of the Core Formation Realm and not anything above that…

Remembering the powerful rabbit demon beast that had acted as a leader when the Core Formation Realm demon beasts were still scouring the outer parts of the ancient city ruins looking for him, Chu Yang could not help feeling a bit afraid.

After all, even if he reached the Fourth Stage of the Core Formation Realm, he had no idea how well he would fare against a demon beast that had reached the Seventh Stage of the Core Formation Realm. Not to mention, the rabbit demon beast might even be above that!

This realization instantly made Chu Yang give up any thought of fighting with the rabbit demon beast, as he rapidly utilized his movement technique to escape in the opposite direction of the rabbit demon beast towards the outer part of the ancient city ruins.

Even if he got lucky and won in a fight against the rabbit demon beast, Chu Yang had no plans to risk his life for it. Not to mention, the rabbit demon beast was not alone!

Seeing its attack miss, followed by Chu Yang running away, the rabbit demon beast squeaked angrily as its small pair of eyes narrowed ever so slightly while looking towards Chu Yang's disappearing figure.

Clearly, the rabbit demon beast had not expected Chu Yang to react fast enough to dodge it. Now that he had done so, the rabbit demon beast started taking him more seriously.

After all, it understood that if Chu Yang was strong enough to dodge its attack, he should also be strong enough to fight it!

Having decided on a new way to deal with the murderous human that had killed so many of its subordinates, the rabbit demon beast narrowed its eyes even further as a clear killing intent appeared in them.

The other Core Formation Realm demon beasts who had just managed to catch up with their leader could not help roaring happily. Thinking that their leader had slain the arrogant human that had caused them so much trouble over the past few days.

However, in the end, they only to see their leader disappear in front of them the moment they appeared. Indicating that he had not managed to deal with the human yet!

Feeling surprised that the human had actually managed to survive an encounter with their leader, the Core Formation Realm demon beasts froze for a moment before the group of Core Formation Realm demon beasts all showed a similarly fearful expression.

As rabbit demon beast did its absolute best to stop Chu Yang from escaping. Keeping him in the same location for close to ten seconds, it could not help cursing out loud in its mother tongue as the Core Formation Realm demon beasts that were supposed to have shown up at this point in time was nowhere in sight.

Watching as Chu Yang managed to break free from it and once again escape over the broken-down walls of the ancient city ruins, the rabbit demon beasts could only stare helplessly as the human disappeared outside its territory.

Following was no longer possible, as the rabbit demon beast understood that it would be entering human territory by doing so.

At that point in time, it might end up becoming the one hunted down… Not to mention, if any of the more powerful humans showed up, its entire territory might end up getting razed to the ground!

It was at this moment, that the Core Formation Realm demon beasts in question showed up… Just in time to see their leader angrily turn towards them filled with anger.

Letting out all its frustration of not being able to catch the human on the demon beasts that had just arrived, the rabbit demon beast only held back enough to not kill them, as it violently beat up all the Core Formation Realm demon beast for showing up late!
