Chapter 372 Joker And Executor (Part 2)

...…

Joker was the term used by the Black Serpent Mafia to call their agents who specialized in the 'versatility' course. And these guys were the ones who were said to be the best agents of the Mafia.

Their training regime made them the jack-of-all-trades which led them to have a broad pool of knowledge, while having a vast number of aces under their sleeves.

They were the type of agents who were fighting with a lot of reserves. They could break their opponents' mentally during battle by slowly showing their cards one by one. It was as if those opponents were being thrown in an illusion where all of their moves were being overwhelmed brutally.

Even though these agents were considered to be the most skilled agents of the Mafia group, encountering an agent like them was quite rare. After all, training a person with a vast set of skills was quite hard, much less someone who was skilled in different fields.

Moreover, these agents were considered to be an 'extinct agents' by the Mafia because of the 'passing rate' of their 'graduation ceremony' where there could only be a single who could officially graduate.

On the other hand, Executors was a league of their own. In fact, they were the most feared agents of the underworld.

Unlike the Jokers who were skilled in different fields of expertise, Executor only excelled on a single thing and that was the art of killing.

They were the agents who were trained to kill and to kill alone. The courses of their training regime might be the simplest compared to the other training camps but that very course was the most brutal among the field.

And aside from being the agents who were skilled at killing their targets, there was another reason why they were the most feared agents on the dark side of the world. And that was because they were also the ones who were tasked to execute their fellow agents who betrayed their own organizations.

After all, killing a fellow assassin from the underworld organizations was quite hard, especially if they were some skilled traitors who knew how the dark side worked. So, the underworld organization created a system where they could eliminate such dangerous threats. And that was when the Executor Agents were born.

And right now, these most skilled and most feared agents were going to clash against each other.

Given that, Shin and Demon were currently looking at each other while releasing a powerful aura from their body.

This state continued for a few more seconds before both of them decided to go strong from the get-go and simultaneously covered their weapons with their respective specialized mana while also releasing their Aura Ministration at the same time.

Demon held jade spear both of his hands while slightly pointed it down. A moment later, the tip of the spear was suddenly lit aflame by a fire that had an alternating of black and jade color.

p Seconds later, that mutated flame suddenly wrapped itself around the entire spear and released an even stronger glow.

At the same time, a huge figure suddenly manifested behind Demon. It was a humanoid creature with a pair of pointed horns on its forehead and was curving upwards. There was also a pair of sharp fangs sticking out on its mouth.

This demon-like figure was holding a black spear with a cross head while its body was entirely covered with metal armor that looked like a set of bones. There was also a pair of huge bat wings spread on its back as it mimicked Demon's current posture.

Given that this Aura Manifestation was so district and had a humanoid form, it was no-brainer for any Martial-artist to tell that Demon already stepped on the 'Ethereal Opening Stage' of the 'Ascension Realm'.

Demon was currently grinning behind his mask the moment he manifested his Battle Spirit (Humanoid Aura Manifestation). He was thinking that he was going to win this match since he could guess that Shin was still in the 'Core Formation Stage' of the 'Foundation Building Realm'.

Demon wanted to restrain himself a little and set his strength on Shin's level. After all, he could tell that Shin was still on the 'Core Formation Stage' of the 'Foundation Building Realm'. So, it was clear that he had a huge advantage on this fight since he had more martial insights compared to his opponent.

But since they were going with the traditional way of the 'Agent's Duel', there was no room for holding themselves back as a sign of respect for the so-called assassin's creed.

Shin actually didn't have to follow such rules since he didn't belong to that group anymore. But since he wanted to test his own limits, he decided to show more of his reserves.

He first changed the form of his 'Mondi's Style' once again and transformed the whip sword into its longsword form.

And right after activating the 'Meteor Form', Shin immediately released the enhanced powers of the Sun and Moon and activated the empowered version of the 'Eclipse Wielding'.

After that, Shin immediately controlled his breath according to the 'White Dawn Boundary' breathing technique, entering the state of extreme tranquility. And the moment he used this special calming technique, the atmosphere surrounding him changed drastically; it was as if he became a monster with human flesh.

After that, he released his Aura Manifestation, making a majestic white tiger appeared behind him. It was the same white tiger with two pairs of angelic wings on its back, but for some unknown reason, this manifestation seemed to be much more dangerous than before.

Shin knew that he was at a slight disadvantage in this fight since his opponent clearly had more martial insight than him. What's more, he also knew that this guy was also in the state of being 'one with the spear'.

But he didn't get intimidated. In fact, he was currently feeling much more excited about this fight than being nervous.

"I already experienced brother Faker's strength before, so there is no reason for me to be surprised now," muttered Shin while observing his opponents' movements.

He didn't even dare to blink his eyes since he knew that every single moment against an Executor Agent was fatal. And he was immediately proven right on the next moment sine Demon mysteriously appeared in front of him while trusting his jade spear forward.

Seeing that spear which was magnifying right in front of his eyes, Shin immediately waved the [Yamato] in a circular motion while leaning his body backwards.

Clang!

After deflecting the spear, Shin suddenly used the momentum of his leaning motion to do a backflip while throwing an upward kick at Demon's exposed chin.

On the updated system of the game before, attacking others without having a weapon already become possible. Though, there were very few number players using this trick because they were too used to using the way of fighting inside the game.

Shin was already taking advantage of this system before, and it seemed like it came in handy this time.

But Demon easily dodged that sly kick by slightly leaning his head to the side. Though, that move also robbed his opportunity to do a follow up attack since he also needed to slightly alter the trajectory of his forward movement to adjust his center of gravity.

On the other hand, Shin suddenly kicked the air when his body was parallel with the ground and facing it.

Pa!

'Legacy Skill: Mondi's Jump'

Swoosh!

Shin launched himself towards Demon with a great speed while powerfully swinging his sword with a cross slash at the same time.

Seeing that sudden counterattack, Demon immediately took advantage of his previous momentum to turn his body around before doing a back kick at Shin.

Pak!

Shin was launching forward with a great speed, so Demon's kick landed at Shin crossed hands and prevented him from throwing his slash.

They paused in the air for a moment before simultaneously doing their moves all of a sudden.

Shin pushed Demon's foot upwards, freeing his arms from being interlocked with each other. And as if he was coordinating with his movements, Demon moved his foot according to Shin's push before doing a flip in the air while swinging his spear at the same time.

Seeing incoming swing from below, Shin quickly adjusted his center of gravity before turning his body to the side, barely dodging the spear with a very small margin.

Ta-ta!

Ta-ta!

Then both of them simultaneously landed on the ground and immediately turned their bodies around to resume attacking each other.

Clang! Clang!

Their weapons clashed once again, pausing with that position for a moment before being separated once again.

After that, Shin quickly swung both of his swords left and right, executing his 'Infinity Edge' combat technique

On the other hand, Demon threw a multiple stab forward, rivaling the speed of Shin's consecutive slashes.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Loud metallic sounds rang in the whole battle arena as a bunch of metal sparks flew in the air every time their weapons clashed against each other.

This sight might be an ordinary fight from the eyes of ordinary players. But from the experts' point of view, this clash was just the start of the real storm that was about to come.

For every battle there have always been these kinds of simple clashes since each of the experts need to properly gauge the real strength of their opponent before going for their big moves.

There reason why every skilled fighter was spending some time when they were battling a fighter with the same level of skills. By exchanging a few moves, all sorts of immeasurable information were being passed back and forth. What techniques the opponent uses, what habits they had, and similar things.

By probing their opponents this way, experts were able to understand their opponents pretty well. And due to that, they were able to formulate some counter plans inside their heads while also adjusting themselves according to their opponents' techniques.

It was the same for the experts who were watching those kinds of fights. By observing two skilled fighters battling against each other, they were able to see which side had the advantage.

After all, the spectators see the board much clearer than the players. Though, that was not the case for this fight. Because the more these expert players watched the fight, the more they became confused which one was gaining the upper-hand.

The favorable side kept on switching as they continue to exchange a few more blows. It was as if this fight was an unstable weighing scale that kept on moving up and down without any intention of stopping.

Given that, these expert players couldn't help but be on the edge of their seats as they were quite curious which one on these two would be the first one to completely break this deadlock.
