CH 96.2

Just as Shen Xingsui arrived at home, Shen Xingsui received a call from Fu Jinxiao. He automatically smiled as he answered. 

“Teacher Fu?” 

“Yeah,” Fu Jinxiao’s voice came from the phone. His tone was languid and slow, “I heard that you have signed the contract?”

Shen Xingsui was surprised that Fu Jinxiao was updated already. He replied, “Yes, it has been signed. I just wanted to call you.”

Fu Jinxiao chuckled, “Really, I thought Teacher Shen wouldn’t think of me.” 

“How could that be?” Shen Xingsui walked outside while talking on the phone, “Did you hear about it from Wang-jie?”

Fu Jinxiao replied, “I’ve read the contract for you. There’s nothing wrong with it. Now that you’ve signed it, let’s take a good shot.”

Shen Xingsui didn’t expect that Fu Jinxiao would actually help him review the contract in person. He immediately felt warm in his heart. He knew that this man was very busy, with little time to rest. But he still took the time to manage Shen Xingsui’s affair very seriously. 

Shen Xingsui said softly, “You are so busy, and yet…” 

Fu Jinxiao’s side was full of white noises, but soon, it suddenly became quiet. His voice this time was clearer: “There are some contracts in the entertainment industry that take advantage of loopholes. There are a lot of scammers, so I was afraid you would be cheated.”

“That’s different…” Shen Xingsui muttered, “After all, we haven’t seen each other for a long time, so I want to show you my best side.” 

Although his voice was very small, Fu Jinxiao still heard it.

The sloppy smile on the man’s face was slowly put away. Shen Xingsui saw the actor’s gaze deepen, but he could see the tenderness in his expression. The actor whispered, “I’ve been working here for a while. When it’s over, I’ll visit you.” 

Shen Xingsui suddenly became happy, “Really?”

Fu Jinxiao nodded, “Yeah.”

Speaking of this matter, Shen Xingsui suddenly remembered about Zhang Sansan’s script. He wondered again, ‘Will Director Zhang contact Fu Jinxiao? If so, will he agree?’ 

As for how Zhang Sansan would invite Teacher Fu in the future, Shen Xingsui was not going to get involved. Of course he wanted to, and of course hoped that he could shoot a movie with Teacher Fu. After all, he has liked Teacher Fu for so many years. As a long-time fan, it had been a long-time wish of him to be filming together on a set. 

But he hoped that if they cooperated, it would be on Fu Jinxiao’s own wish.

He didn’t want Fu Jinxiao to accept the role because of Shen Xingsui’s pleading. If that would happen, he would rather choose to remain silent.

One month later—

The studio was full of people, and the flashes and cameras flickered non-stop.

The man standing in front of the camera is wearing a dark blue trendy suit. Fu Jinxiao didn’t blink when facing the flashlight. His body proportions were perfect as a model. His habit of shooting all-year round makes his movement transitions very smooth. He basically didn’t need the command of the photographers.

After the magazine was filmed and the work was over, Fu Jinxiao stepped down from the stage, and his assistant Feifei below quickly handed over his water, “Today’s schedule is basically over, and we have another work tomorrow afternoon. Fu Jinxiao sneered, then walked to the lounge and opened the door. The man sat down on the sofa with a somehow-graceful plop. He leaned down, lazily letting the makeup artist remove his makeup. He slowly said, “That’s impossible.” 

Feifei snorted softly, “Just relying on Teacher Shen liking you?”

They had no worries talking about this topic. Everyone involved in Fu Jinxiao’s team was loyal to him. They were already very familiar with the actor, too. 

The makeup artist said, “Are you talking about Shen Xingsui?”

Feifei nodded, “Yes.”

“Wow, Teacher Shen has been a topic of discussion recently,” The makeup artist smiled and said, “Although I am abroad, I know his itinerary. Didn’t he announce that he’ll join a movie soon? What’s it called? Lonely City?” 

Feifei also became interested, “It has been officially announced?”

The makeup artist nodded, “Yes, yes, I saw the official poster featuring the two male leads, Xu Yan and Fang Zhiwen.”

“Is this the poster? I saw it too, oh my God, I never thought that I would find two boys standing together so desirable…” The costume designer also leaned over, “I still keep that poster as a wallpaper. Teacher Shen looked so nice standing next to Jiang Chao. Teacher Jiang is the actor of Xu Yan, then?” 

Besides the assistants, the makeup artist and the costume designer didn’t know about Fu Jinxiao’s romantic relationship with Shen Xingsui. 

Therefore, the two of them didn’t notice that their boss’s face was getting uglier. 

Fu Jinxiao even reached out and said, “What poster, let me have a look.”

The costume designer gushed, “This is the poster. Fu-ge, look, the distance between the two of them… their hands that had to be separated halfway through the handshake. The actor fell into a suspicious silence.

Fu Jinxiao looked at the two people in close poses in the photo, his eyes narrowed dangerously. A chilling smile hung on the corner of his mouth, as he raised his eyes to look at the dresser. 

He slowly opened his lips, every word seemed to contain a deeper meaning, “Do you think they fit well?”
