Just for reassurance: there’s no attempted rape. Don’t worry.

Shen Xingsui’s body felt as if it was slowly blanketed by warmth.

He was attached to his mobile phone and couldn’t see each other. Even the time on the phone became so extravagant that he didn’t want to hang up. He felt that his brain was filled with mushy nonsense, but he still kept his restraint.

But it was time to eat, so he hung up the communication reluctantly.

When he came down from the second floor, he unexpectedly found that Zhang Chi had prepared the dinner grandly. The candlelight dinner was arranged neatly on the table, and there was even red wine in elegant glasses.

It looked like dinner for a date.

Zhang Chi came out of the kitchen and said, “I don’t know what you like to eat, so I made a lot.”

Shen Xingsui stood beside the table and asked hesitantly, “Isn’t this too much?”

“Yeah, it’s a bit too much, but thinking that today is my birthday, I subconsciously did more. You don’t mind, do you?”

Since this was supposed to be a birthday celebration, he couldn’t refute that.

Shen Xingsui shook his head and said, “I don’t mind.”

It’s just that he was still surprised by the sumptuous dinner. Both of them sat on the table. Shen Xingsui ate a few mouthfuls of food, and unexpectedly found that it was not bad. Zhang Chi’s kitchen skills have been polished in foreign countries over the years. He remembered a couple years ago – Zhang Chi cooked for him then, and the taste was so unpalatable.

Zhang Chi obviously thought of it himself, smiled and said, “I used to be a bad cook, and I couldn’t do anything well.”

Shen Xingsui replied in a soft voice, “Everyone has things they are good at or not good at.”

Zhang Chi looked at the dim lights and felt his mood was being influenced by it. He replied in an equally soft voice, “It’s a pity that before you, I always thought my cooking was delicious.”

Because at that time, Shen Xingsui ate up that bowl of unpalatable food in one bite. It gave him the impression that his cooking was good. Although he himself thought it was not delicious at that time, the support from his friends gave him a lot of confidence.

It was only later that he realized the truth – Shen Xingsui was just being gentle to him.

Zhang Chi asked, “Why didn’t you tell me at that time?”

“Because when I cook food by myself, it’s also terrible,” Shen Xingsui thought of his many dark dishes, and smiled at him, “We are the same, so I won’t make fun of you.”

Zhang Chi couldn’t help laughing out loud after hearing this.

He liked this feeling very much. He could sit on the table and talk to his old friends on a rainy and quiet night. When he recalled the past, he felt more and more that they had shared many good memories. All of which he wanted to restore.

Under the candlelight, Shen Xingsui looked delicate and handsome. When he smiled, his brows and eyes looked very gentle. Maybe the food was a bit spicy, so his well-shaped red lips looked extraordinarily beautiful. Zhang Chi drank two glasses of wine, felt as if there was a fire in his heart, and through the drunkenness, he boldly said, “Suisui, you can have a drink with me.”

Shen Xingsui said softly, “I don’t drink well, so I have to refuse.”

Zhang Chi felt even more depressed.

The rain outside still hasn’t stopped. The person he liked was right in front of him, but there was nothing he could do.

“It’s okay, this red wine doesn’t have a high alcohol content. Today is my birthday, so you should celebrate it for me,” Zhang Chi picked up the wine bottle and poured himself a glass, drank half of it, and poured it for Shen Xingsui, “Just a sip, okay?”

He drank the wine himself, so he dispelled many of Shen Xingsui’s doubts.

In addition, this table of meals was also cooked by Zhang Chi. This made Shen Xingsui feel thankful for him. Plus, it was his birthday, making it even harder to refuse.

Shen Xingsui hesitated for a moment, then finally nodded and said, “Okay.”

Zhang Chi smiled and said, “I’ll pour it for you!”

Maybe he was a little excited, because he was unstable when holding the red wine glass, he knocked over the glass until it shattered on the ground. The sound was loud and shocking.

Zhang Chi quickly said, “I’ll go and get another one.”

Shen Xingsui originally wanted to go by himself, but seeing Zhang Chi ran to the kitchen, he had no choice but to leave to find a broom to clean the floor. When Zhang Chi came out of the kitchen with some embarrassment, he said, “I’m sorry, I’m too happy, so my hands are shaking.”

Shen Xingsui shook his head lightly. “It’s okay, as long as there is no injury.”

Zhang Chi poured another glass of red wine, Shen Xingsui drank half a cup. He wasn’t very hungry at night, so he didn’t eat much. When he felt full, he said, “I think I’m full. Since you cook this, I’ll wash the dishes later. Just put these bowls away after you finish eating, and I’ll wash them.”

Zhang Chi nodded and said, “Okay.”

Not far from the downstairs of the villa, there was also a car of people squatting.

This was an entourage of paparazzi, all arranged by Anran. The last time Zhang Chi and Shen Xingsui were in the town, these paparazzi followed them all the way up the mountain. They squatted here for several days, waiting for some explosive news, but all the people do were staying here and did boring work. There was no material to dig at all, and it was raining heavily today, so everyone was going to give up.

The leader, Old Zhang, gritted his teeth and said, “They didn’t come out. They must spend the night tonight. The hard work of so many days can’t be wasted. Get closer, we will make money if we shoot something incriminating.”

It made sense, and they all agreed.

Back in the villa.

Zhang Chi finished his meal, while Shen Xingsui was resting on the sofa next to him. It was past ten o’clock in the evening. He was a little sleepy after drinking, so he walked to the table and tried to clean up the dishes, but the sleepiness gradually became unbearable. He sighed and said, “I– I seem to be a little tired, so I’ll wash the dishes tomorrow.”

Zhang Chi’s gaze flickered a little. “Are you tired? Is there still some discomfort? Let me help you upstairs to rest.”

Shen Xingsui shook his head and said, “It’s okay, no need.”

He walked forward a few steps, but his head was a little dizzy, and he managed to hold on to the table to stabilize his body. Zhang Chi next to him hurried over to support him, “Suisui, are you okay?”

Shen Xingsui felt something was wrong.

It might be because the alcohol content was too high and he was a little drunk, or it might be because he has been too tired recently. Of course, there was another possibility that he did not want to entertain.

Zhang Chi leaned against him and supported him, with worry in his eyes.

Shen Xingsui looked at him sideways, and said vigilantly, “It’s okay, don’t worry about me, I’ll go back to my room first.”

Zhang Chi’s heart was so nervous that his palms were even sweaty.

In the end, he was still too timid.

Originally, he really wanted to pour what Anran gave him into the wine. Just as he opened the drug packet, he peeked at Shen Xingsui, who was cleaning up the debris in the kitchen. Even though it was Zhang Chi who broke the glass.

The guilt was too strong. Zhang Chi couldn’t bear to hurt Shen Xingsui, nor did he wanted to  force a relationship with him, because he knew a relationship built on that wouldn’t last.

He couldn’t do it. On the glass he brought, there was only a bit of powder that got stuck from him breaking open the drug packet. As for the rest of the drug, Zhang Chi threw it all away.

With that tiny bit of drug, it seemed to only give the effect of making Shen Xingsui sleepy.

Shen Xingsui was the kind of person who really can’t handle alcohol. He almost fell after walking a few steps, Zhang Chi hurried over to help him and said, “Suisui, I’ll help you.”

Shen Xingsui looked at him warily as he gasped. His eyes flickered slightly, and finally he asked softly, “You didn’t add anything to that wine, did you?”

Zhang Chi was stunned for a moment, then shook his head. “I didn’t.”

With Zhang Chi’s support, he just took small steps to the bathroom on the first floor, which was only a few steps away. These few steps were very difficult. After he entered, Zhang Chi heard the clear sound of locking the door.

It was also at this moment that Zhang Chi saw clearly Shen Xingsui’s determination to draw a line with him.

Suddenly, Zhang Chi also breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, he was not swayed and really did something irreversible…

The hands of the paparazzi outside the villa were trembling in the rain.

Old Zhang said, “Did you get the picture?”

“I got it, I got it,” The paparazzi exclaimed in a low voice, “I took all kinds of intimate photos of the two of them together.”

Old Zhang heaved a sigh of relief, “It’s not in vain.”

The little paparazzi said, “The task given to us by the employer is now considered complete. So, now we should send it to him, and then send a copy to the Internet. This news should go viral, right? This is a same-sex love scandal of a popular celebrity, after all.”

It was obvious that money was within reach, but Old Zhang remained silent.

After being in the circle for so long, he still understood some unwritten rules. After the people under him handed over the photos to Anran, Old Zhang said, “We have to contact Shen Xingsui’s manager in a while and give these photos to her too.”

The little paparazzi didn’t understand, “Why?”

“See if they buy it for a price,” Old Zhang was still a more experienced person, “If they buy it, let’s not send these photos.”

His subordinate asked in confusion, “But we have already sent it to our employer, right? Why would we send it to another person? Wouldn’t that cross our employer’s interest?”

Old Zhang showed a scheming smile. “The employer and the agent don’t know how many paparazzi are currently there, anyway. So even if we send it to both, they wouldn’t know who actually sent it to the other person right? Plus, we get double the money.”

Hearing this, the little paparazzi felt that his master was shrewd.

Just when they agreed to completely retreat in the heavy rain, there was a flash of lights on the mountain road not far away, and another car came up. This car was braving the rain, but it was not driving slowly. In this kind of thunderstorm, who would really dare to go up the mountain?

The whole group was shocked.

Could it be Hu Kaiyue?

The car stopped at the entrance of the villa, and then the door was opened, and a man got out of it. He didn’t hold an umbrella, and his tall body stood in the dark night. The dim light at the door shone through the curtain of rain on the man’s shoulders. With the glaring light of the car, his face was seen clearly. The paparazzis were shocked when they saw it–

Wasn’t this… Fu Jinxiao?
