Shen Xingsui was wondering where he was, when he happened to meet his older brother who was leaving the forest because of elimination. He scurried over quickly and asked, “How did you get eliminated?” 

Shen Xingchen himself didn’t understand what happened. “Honestly, I don’t know. I didn’t do anything weird.” 

“Have someone touched you?” Shen Xingsui asked, “Or like last time, they asked you to do something.”

Shen Xingchen was still wondering about this. “This time nobody really came to ask me any questions, and didn’t give anything to me. He also hadn’t met Feng Fan and Instructor Li.

While they were deep in discussion, another announcement came from the radio: [Anran is out.]

Everyone fell silent.

Another person was eliminated. This speed was faster than anyone could imagine, and their strike was crisp and quick. 

In the last episode, Anran was the assassin, and the three of them used him as a comparison to this episode’s undercover villain. They quickly analyzed the possible methods of elimination and other clues. 

Tuya took a deep breath and concluded her thoughts. “Except for Fu Jinxiao, I can’t think of another person who can do this.”

This was the worst situation.

This achievement was something that can be boasted for a straight year. Fu Jinxiao was that hard to outsmart. 

Another announcement rang out:

[Tuya is out.]

[Xu Qinke is out.]

The celebrating duo immediately froze in place. They couldn’t believe what they heard. Their flabbergasted expression was forever recorded in history. Probably as a reaction meme.

The director “kindly” gave them an explanation, “That bottle in Xu Qinke’s hand is not the divine water. You took it by mistake, but according to the rules, both of you asked for something from Teacher Fu. After using what he gave you, you got eliminated.” 

“I-It’s not… It’s not the divine water?” Tuya stammered in pure disbelief, “Then, then… what is it?” 

“This kind bottle?” Fu Jinxiao slowly took out another one from his bag, “I bought several bottles like this from the souvenir shop for 9.9 yuan each. If you like it, I will give you another one?” 

“…” Tuya fell into a long silence. 

She doubted herself, and yet wanted to give Fu Jinxiao a punch.

Xu Qinke could only smile. His voice sounded like he just went through all stages of grief in a second. “Teacher Fu, you are too evil.” 

He really couldn’t outplay Fu Jinxiao. That’s just a pipe dream, so he better wake up soon. 

The audiences could symphatize with him. They too, felt like just finishing a roller-coaster of emotions.

Shen Xingsui turned around—

And faced Fu Jinxiao. 

The box in his hand almost fell to the ground. Shen Xingsui leaned against the wall, trembling, but still pretending to be calm. “Teacher Fu.”

Fu Jinxiao pursed his lips. “It is me.” 

“You, why are you here?” Shen Xingsui stammered a bit when speaking. But he still had to bite the bullet. “I don’t need your help, I can do it myself.”

Fu Jinxiao’s dark eyes looked at him for a moment. “Are you afraid of me?”

‘Who isn’t of afraid of you?’

After all, all of the guests were wiped out. Only fools wouldn’t fear Fu Jinxiao. 

Shen Xingsui wanted to cry, but he knew that the key was in Fu Jinxiao’s hand. On top of that, his talisman was given to Xu Qinke. Now he had no password, and no divine water to fight back. He was backed into a dead end. His end was an inevitability, not a suspense.

But still, he had to try. Shen Xingsui hugged the box and tried to scare him, “Teacher Fu… I… we… have always been incompatible since ancient times; good and evil do not mix well. No matter what happens today, I must protect this box. Don’t– don’t come here, or…. or we will die together.”

Fu Jinxiao only looked amused. He leaned against the wall, looking languid and smug. “Is that so…” 

Not intimidated at all, the man took a step forward and walked towards the youth. Step by step, the actor’s clean boots made a crisp sound when they stepped on the slate floor. With every step taken, with every sound echoed inside the cave, both made Shen Xingsui’s heart pound with anxiety inside his ribcage.

A drop of cold sweat fell from Shen Xingsui’s forehead.

This development was very exciting to the audience.

After a long time, what he felt was an icy cold touch on his hand. He opened his eyes cautiously, and found a small porcelain bottle in the palm of his hand.

The distance between the two men was extremely close. Shen Xingsui could hear Fu Jinxiao’s steady breaths at this range.

Fu Jinxiao’s posture was not of oppression – it was of protection. The actor looked down at the youth, almost burying his face on Shen Xingsui’s shoulder.

His voice was low and magnetic, whispered close to his ears, making it hot and itchy.

His tone was like coaxing a child, or maybe, a lover—

“You can kill me.”
