Chapter 184: Jello Shots

The music continued to pound with over one hundred beats per minute as people danced and raved in a dark night club with strobing lights running across the crowd and reflecting off of Xenia’s shiny black outfit as the lights passed over her catsuit and mask.

She entered the second security blind spot and took a few steps. The density of people was much lower in this area as it was at the periphery.

Suddenly, a man from behind lunged at her with a syringe filled with several milliliters of a clear liquid. He stabbed the long, thin needle into Xenia’s neck and plunged the syringe down expelling the entirety of the clear liquid into her.

She turned around with a smile and ran her fingers over her neck where the operative had injected her. He smiled back at her, “It was a pleasure meeting you. However, I’m afraid for you Miss Night, that it is goodnight already.”

He maintained a relaxed posture even allowing her to walk up to him and rub her hands down his chest. He had doubled the usual dose of a powerful anesthetic, and he expected her to be knocked out and down on the ground in seconds.

Instead, she showed no signs of slowing and continued to run her hands up and down his body as she began to sway her hips to the music, “But I don’t wanna go to sleep just yet. I wanna play with needles.”

She pushed him backwards into a private room and closed the door. The private rooms of Holy Trinity were typically used for drug deals, lap dances, sexual favors, and occasionally business deals. She pushed him into a chair, removed her face mask, and bloodbent him in the chair ensuring he couldn’t move.

“How did you know I liked playing with needles? How did you know they turn me on?” She straddled him sitting in his lap and kissed his cheek, “Or was it just a lucky guess?”The initial instance of this chapter being available happened at N0v3l.Bin.

The operative at this point was beginning to worry. He couldn’t move a muscle, and his injection had utterly failed. He thought to himself, “What is going on?!”

She laughed at him as she gyrated in his lap to the loud music outside dancing her body on top of his with the syringe in hand, “I’ll tell you what’s going on. We are going to party together. Do you like Jello shots?”

She licked the tip of the needle, “I like them. And what’s a rave party without a fun shot?”

She leaned in and smiled in his face, “Don’t move. I told you I like playing with needles, and I am about to play.”

She took the fine-tipped needle and slowly inserted it through the white sclera of his left eye-ball. Once she had the needle inserted, she began to pull back on the stopper. As she did, the syringe began to fill up with a clear gelatinous type material, vitreous fluid. As she pulled the stopper back as far as she could, the negative pressure of the stopper removing the ocular vitreous fluid caused his eye ball to collapse on itself.

She held the syringe up to him, “Vitreous fluid! Your vitreous fluid. It’s gelatinous, and its our Jello shot. Here, you go first.”

She held his lower jaw with her hand opening his mouth forcefully, and she injected the Jello-like vitreous into his mouth forcing him to swallow it with her bloodbending.

The man let out a deep breath, “I don’t know for sure. People say he can see glimpses of the past. He can disappear. That he is a ghost. That he can access a different dimension. Everyone, including me until now, thinks it’s bullshit.”

He began to speak again; however, Xenia was tired of listening already as she bloodbent his vocal cords shut and grabbed for his radio. She clicked the side button and spoke into it, “Detective Fincher. This is Sareena Night. I’d very much like to meet you. Come to our private room, so we can chat. If you don’t, your friend dies.” She smiled to herself and shot a look at the team leader before saying into the radio, “All of us here hope to see you soon. Some of us more than others I’m sure.”

Xenia then crushed the radio and threw it aside to the floor. She then looked back to the team leader and said, “While we wait, how about a lap dance?”

She stood up in front of him and began to dance sensually running her hands along her own body and moving her hips seductively to the beat of the music outside the room, “Now you just sit right there and watch me put on a show for you. There’s just one catch.”

She shot him a glance and held up her hand. She then clenched it into a fist, “I’m not allowing you to breathe until Fincher arrives.”

His airway tightened as it became completely occluded. The sensation wasn’t like holding one’s breath though, instead, he felt an immense pressure applied to his neck and he struggled against it to stave it off from crushing his neck entirely.

Meanwhile, Fincher and Bobby were outside in the surveillance van. Fincher flipped a box of donuts in frustration causing them to go flying all over the van, and he threw his headset as he yelled, “Damnit! What part about this team is elite? They have managed to do nothing. Absolutely nothing!”

Bobby looked at him wide-eyed, “Let me go, boss!”

Fincher waived him off, “Don’t be stupid, Bobby. This is far too dangerous.” He stroked his moustache and then said, “I’ll tell you what. While I’m in there, you rummage through her car and see if you can find any evidence at all. Anything. No matter how small or large it may be. We need help.”

Bobby nodded, “Yes, sir! But what will you do, boss?”

Fincher shook his head and sighed, “It looks like I am going to be forced into getting off my fat ass and expending some ki. Damn I hate physical activity, but I don’t see any other option.”

Bobby nodded, “I’ll see you on the flip side then. Good luck, boss. Don’t get yourself killed out there.”

Fincher took a big swig of his coffee and chuckled, “Don’t worry Bobby. I’m not actually going to try to save anyone. Hell, I couldn’t even if I wanted to. I am just trying to gain evidence to prove this is Xenia BloodStar. I’m a coward. Because cowards live to see another day.”

He eyed his donuts he had scattered all over the van floor, and he softly said, “And I need to live another day.”

He then vanished into thin air. Bobby never tired of his boss’s abilities. Fincher had disappeared but not in the typical sense. He hadn’t just disappeared from sight. He had disappeared from all dimensions easily accessible by humans. He was in a place no one could reach him.
