Chapter 58 Pain Of Evolution

"Uh?" The third year student Martha brows furrowed in slight confusion as she stared stared at the young man standing a few feet below her.

He was actually able to regain his rampant nuclear energy which shouldn't have happened. Even the strongest enhanced and most talented enhanced shouldn't have been able to control an agitated nuclear energy and would have no choice than to watch as his veins rupture one by one till the heart is affected and the nuclear pulse destroyed.

Level one Enhanced or level nine are still ultimately human even if they could kill an elephant with a punch, they are still beings almost at the lowest part of the food chain. Faintly utilising absorbed nuclear energy was possible but controlling an explosive and reactive energy like nuclear energy without becoming a Titan was impossible!

But Erian seem to have his under control as the atomic energy within his body was clearly at peace. Her eyes flashed and radiation faded from her eyes as she dispersed her X-ray vision. She didn't see anything within his body that could be a treasure, making her frown even more. And as for the glare the impudent ant was sending her way, she didn't even put it in her eyes.

By the time the one month newbie protection expires, she could so whatever she wanted with him.

"Interesting young man." A red-haired female senior amongst the seven locked her lips as her crimson eyes flashed.

Martha scoffed in deriaion. "He's just an ignorant boy. Did he think he would be protected from me by the academy?"

"Come on Martha, cut him some slack. He's only just a new student at least let him settle before you kill him, don't make him suffer and flay him like usual." The red-haired vituperated her.

Martha satirized with mockery in her tone. "You've taken an interest in him, haven't you? Do you think he will let you suck him dry?"

The red-haired giggled gracefully, her smile lighting up the solemn darkness of the Colosseum as she replied. "There are only two things man would die for. Power and Sex. We will know when the time comes, wouldn't we?"

"You shouldn't test my patience Raven!" Martha warned.

Raven scoffed, covering her tinkling laughter with her hands. "We both know we have the same strength. You can't kill me neither can I kill you, therefore we can only tolerate each other. Unless you've master Titan Body Hardening to the ultimate stage, there's nothing you can do."

"Since you both have the energy to argue, the two of you shall be in charge of placing the students in the Vita-Ray Chambers. Neither of you will live if the boy does." The calm voice was soft and didn't seem o contain any power but strangely, but Raven and Martha shivered one's the heard the soft voice. Their heads immediately lowered as they muttered 'yes'.

The young man was casual, as though he hadn't jsur spoken, but the six people knew that every word of his was similar to a decree. The young man seem easy going, but he was actually a very ruthless person who does as he says.

The white-haired senior breathed roughly but continued with his announcement.

"The feeling you're experiencing in your body will relief you of the pain. Don't fight the numbness and let go. The more you hold on, the more harder it will be for you during the process."

As he did this, the students were confused at first when one of them fell to the ground with a thump sound. They had been poisoned once again! Just like dominos, the newly admitted student flop to the ground, knocked out cold!

Erian didn't struggle this time and went with the flow. He was the most injured and fighting against the drug will only make his injuries worse. Injuries heal much faster when the body is at full rest which is why he was willing to let himself sleep but the anger within him was like a raging tide, threatening to spill out.

"It's isn't time yet." His slurred and then fell back to the ground, also knocked out cold.

Erian's eyes fluttered open and he saw a few people dressed in white, seemingly pushing him through a large hall as he lated on a moving steel bed.

His eyes involuntarily closed back as he fell asleep.

"Compatiblity rate 68%, proceed."

Erian drowsily opened his eyes, he could see the same white robed individuals placing him within a steel futuristic pod.

The pod wasn't a completely covered one as a few areas were exposed. The pod had four large tubes filled with greenish fluids connected by each shoulder of tbe pod. His head was strapped by two robotics arms.

Eight large needles emerged from each side, stabbing into his body. Two in his upper chest, two in his lower chest and four in his abdomen. A mechanial sound echoed as a thick metal sheet closed around his legs and his hands, trapping them. Steam puffed out as several several large tubes stabbed into the pod one after the other until thee was about twenty of them. The pod was then lifted until he was vertical to the ground.

Still feeling drowsy, he was about to fall as sleep when he felt something as though his bones has been dipped into lava.

Erian's eyes jolted wide open as he gasped heavily. He couldn't move his head, but his eyes rolled as he glanced at his surroundings in confusion. Before him, more than a hundred of similar pods lined up in front of him. He could only see the back but couldn't see the person. He could tell it was female just by person's hair hanging by the sides.

"Hmmm!"

Another pain stabbed through his body as the intensity of the pain increased. His chest, lungs and abdomen hurt like they were being fried. He hadn't even gotten used to it yet when tiny needles the size of a normal syringe extended from the pod and stabbed into his body through his pores.

"Ahhhhh!" Erian screamed in anguish as the agony one couldn't imagine shrouded Erian like a shadow. His muscles spammed like guiter strings and his body shook violently, desperate to escape from this travail of torture!
