Have you guys seen the World News?

Looks like Yuri-san just defeated a monster named ‘Doom-Bringing Spider Atlach-Nacha’.

‘Atlach-Nacha’… that’s the name of a spider god in the Cthulhu mythos.

With it and the ‘Cthulhu Replica’ Yuri-san also had found previously, I think it’s safe to assume that the hidden bosses are based on the deities of Cthulhu mythos.

86. A Passing Adventurer

>>85

That should be the case. The demon king’s name is ‘The King of Evil Gods, Azathoth’, too.

Oh yeah, a video of the battle has been uploaded by a player named Korin, who fought it alongside Yuri. She mentions in the video: “Look at this monster! It’s too OP! Nerf it, Devs!”

But what’s baffling is Yuri’s following comment: “What are you talking about, Korin? You’ve gotta be at least this strong to kill me!”

Sheesh. Despite looking so beautiful, she’s too barbaric.

Still, it’s fortunate that we’re able to see the battle footage of BSO’s Atlach-Nacha.

>>86

Hmm. Judging from the gloomy catacomb-like background, I think the location is the ‘Underground Tomb of the Shinigami’.

It summons (or shoots?) ‘Living Armor Knight’ as well, which supports that theory.

Seeing as the door looks the same as the one that leads to the original boss room, there must be conditions to encounter it.

It’s a format often used in other online games. By using existing dungeons, they can save time, effort, and data.

>>88

But looking at the battle footage, its ability to create such a large army of Living Armor Knights should put a considerable load on the server.

In spite of that, there doesn’t seem to be any lags. It truly displays the devs’ impressive coding ability.

We’ve also found through our research that BSO’s world map is about as big as Hokkaido, and it is not separated into smaller maps. It is, to put bluntly, abnormal.

They say the company started with a capital of several hundred thousand yen, but that’s definitely a lie. I bet their server is as great if not greater than Bill’s. Otherwise, the one in charge of data compression must be inhuman…

Stop, stop, we’re going off-topic. We really should try to fix this bad habit.

Anyway, going back to the battle footage. It really was amazing.

We are all bad at fighting. If any of us were in their positions, we wouldn’t last even 3 seconds. Well, any of us except Merlin, the starter of this thread.

But that aside, what do you guys think about the ‘Doom-Bringing Spider’ part of Atlach-Nacha’s name?

The kanji used for ‘Bringing’ (凱) here can also mean ‘victory song’.

This leads me to think that the name ‘Doom-Bringing Spider’ is partly based on its summoning ability, in that ‘after annihilating the enemies, its summoned soldiers (Armor Knights) will sing its triumph of victory’.

95. A Passing Adventurer

>>90

That’s not all.

Try to take out the right part (几) of Bringing (凱), and add metal (金) to its left.

They will form the kanji for armor (鎧), right? Further, they both can be read as ‘to put on armor’.

Which means this can also refer to how it wears Armor Knights all over its body. Makes a nice pun, wouldn’t you say?

Taking it a step further, the Bringing Spider (凱虫, gaichuu) part can also be simply read as ‘pest’ (害虫, gaichuu).

Hehehe… what a pleasure it is to crack the mystery behind their naming like this.

97. A Passing Adventurer

>>95

It’s you right, Merlin-san? Think we can’t tell if you’re using anonym?

98. Merlin

>>97

Oh, my apologies.

Now then, how about we move on to figuring out how to encounter the hidden boss?

99. A Passing Adventurer

>>98

Hmm, I think the key here is Yuri-san’s job, ‘Summoner’.

If you think about it, it’s unusual that Summoners can tame and summon monsters who are spawns of the evil god Azathoth.

I’m guessing that maybe Summoners have had a connection to Azathoth… they might have been his followers back in the ages of gods…

This might be why the Pope laid down laws to oppress ‘Summoners’ and monsters over in the Holy City of Helheim’ (which pissed Yuri-san off and made her kill him)…

And this was the second hidden boss Yuri-san had uncovered.

Wouldn’t it be safe to assume that Summoners are necessary to discover hidden bosses who are generals of the Demon King…?

100. A Passing Adventurer

>>99

Ohh… that makes so much sense…!

If it is true, the standing of ‘Summoners’ would skyrocket!

From the weakest to a must-bring when facing hidden bosses!

108. A Passing Adventurer

>>100

That would make a wonderful Cinderella story! Let’s create a summoner character and verify it!

By the way, Yuri-san asked people to join her in the video. “Let’s have fun killing!” she said. At this point, I’m really starting to question her morality.

But that aside, she’s allowed us to collect so much data by following her steps.

Sooo, I’m thinking of joining her side for the Great War of Extinction to repay the favor.

110. A Passing Adventurer

>>108

Nooooo!!!!!!! I don’t wanna fiiiiiiiiiight!!!!!!!!!

If I had to participate, I’d definitely join the Demon King side and ask Yuri-chan to protect me even if I had to lick her feet!!!

111. A Passing Adventurer

>>110

Ohh, what a splendid refusal to fight! What a model seeker of knowledge!

Incidentally, I would also like to be protected and lick the feet of a beautiful girl like Yuri-chan!!!!!!!!!!!!!

…How come this thread ended up being filled with perverts? Smart, but pervert…
