[I’ve Got a New ‘Weakest’ Element!]

After defeating Zansword, I went back to Helheim.

There I met Seele, who had just got back from scouting mercenaries, and we casually strolled around the city.

“Hm~, so you’ve already reached level 50? But after grinding nonstop for a few days with the super rare sword you gave me, I’d just barely made it to level 40…!”

“Well, still, I can’t slow down my pace. I mean, there are apparently a handful of players who are higher level than me, like Zansword.”

“Ah~… You can find them in any game, jobless people—I mean, people with plenty of time to spare…” Seele made a strange expression.

Well, that was just how the world worked. At the other end of the spectrum, there were people with plenty of financial power like me, and I planned to make full use of it.

I decided to split off with her when we arrived in front of the training ground.

“See ya later, Great Demon King. I also would like to have my gear altered, so I’m gonna go to that girl named Grimm you just scouted.

“After that, maybe I’ll show the mercenary NPCs I brought around the city. I mean, they all immediately headed to the living quarters the moment we arrived because they were terrified of the monsters roaming all over the city.”

“Haha, they’ll get used to it. I’ll leave the command of all the mercenaries to you, so do some bonding with them before the event.”

“Got it.”

Seele waved her hand as she slipped into the throngs of murderous caterpillars and man-eating tigers.

Seeing her exchanging greetings with summoner NPCs—who now had mohawks for some reason—that greeted her with “Thank you for your hard work, Seele-aneki!”, it seemed she had become completely used to the atmosphere of the city. I was glad.

Relieved at the figure of my sub guild master, I headed into the training ground to decide on my ‘second job’.

“Kishaaa!” “Kishasha, kishaaa!” Kisha~!”

In the excessively spacious training ground, while smilingly watching Pontaro, Ponjiro, Ponsaburo, Ponshiro, Pongoro, Ponrokuro, Ponshichiro, Ponhachiro, Ponkuro, Ponjuro, and Ponjuichiro playing tag, I sat down and opened the menu window.

When I touched the ‘Get a Second Job’ button, a list of numerous jobs appeared.

“Which one should I pick, I wonder~?”

I had already two candidates in mind. The first was ‘Enchanter’, just like Zansword. Imbuing weapons with magical attributes was the simplest but the most surefire way to increase attack power.

The second was ‘Archer’. It was the go-to job for those who chose the bow as their weapon, and if I picked this as my second job, I should be able to use various archery arts.

If I combined the art that doubled shot arrows with Pontaro and the gang’s cloning ability, I should be able to make up for the number of their clones that had been reduced by the shitty devs. Then I’d be able to make rains of arrows again.

But that’s kinda boring, isn’t it?

With that in mind, I visited my old pal, ‘BSO Strategy Guide Site’. This site had deceived me, but it was just too useful.

Accessing the internet through the menu window, I opened the ‘Strongest Job Ranking’ page.

“Hmm, the upper ranks are all taken by mainstream jobs like Swordsman and Spearman. The baldhead’s Grappler, on the other hand, seems to be placed low because of its glaring disadvantage.”

There were a lot of complaints about it in the comment section, for example: “I chose it because the baldie put up an amazing fight against the Demon King, but what the hell? I keep dying shortly after sacrificing my HP to boost my stats T_T”

Well, it was only natural. It was a very difficult job that could only be mastered by guys who were good at fighting like the baldhead.

Incidentally, Archer was also in the lower ranks due to the accuracy problem.

I managed to get around it only because I’d tamed possession-type monsters with the ‘Summoner’ job skill. Well, with spirit and guts, regular Archers would surely find a solution sooner or later.

“Oh, is it because of my rampage? Summoner’s rank rose considerably. Well, it’s still only at the bottom of the mid-ranks, but that’s better than being at the bottom of the bottom, I guess.

“Then what’s the weakest job now… oh?”

When I scrolled down the page, at the last place of the ranking there was ‘Craft Maker’.

The note next to the name said: “A craftsman job. Able to make various items. Has nothing to do with combat, placed in the strongest job ranking for the sake of it.”

And in the comment section:

“Zero combat art. If you’re into combat, stay away from it.”

“It’s not about being weak anymore. Craft Makers has literally no combat capability. They’re too pitiful to even make fun of.”

“If you happen across a Craft Maker in the field, gently call out to them and protect them. They’ll die instantly if they get attacked by a monster, after all.”

Etc. etc. Many comments were too considerate it came off as rude, instead.

Ah~, this must be the job that Francoise and Grimm had chosen. It was even weaker than Summoner.

But as the note said, it’d be wrong to seek combat power in production-type jobs. They were focused to produce items, so realistically speaking, Summoner was still the weakest job.

“Hm~m. If I was a solo player, being able to fight and make items at the same time would be convenient, but I’ve already got Grimm. I guess this one’s a bust.”

That said, as a Guild Master, it may be better for me to understand my guildmates’ jobs.

Thinking so, I casually opened the ‘Craft Maker’ description page, but right at that moment, I screamed, “Wha… what the hell?!?! Isn’t this job a perfect match for me?!”

I’d got an unexpected discovery that left me pleasantly surprised. Here was what the Craft Maker description page said:

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

‘Craft Maker’

Those who choose this job will acquire the following job skills:

‘Production’: Synthesize, enhance, and/or produce items and equipment. When used, will gain experience points depending on the degree of perfection.

‘Transport’: Increase the number of items that can be carried from 50 to 200

‘Transfer’: A new job skill added in the update. Can only be used by Craft Makers who belong to a guild. When the item box is full, obtained items will be automatically transferred to the guild’s storage.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The second job skill, ‘Transport’—now that was what I called a hidden gem!

Every time I used ‘Arms Barrier’, I always had the same thought: “If only I can shoot more weapons at once~”

Weapons pulled out by ‘Arms Barrier’ returned to the item box in 3 seconds after being used, so I didn’t need to worry about running out of ammo, but since the item box’s capacity was only 50 items max, I could only carry about 20 weapons at most.

Which meant, the maximum number of weapons I could shoot at once was 20. After all, I had to save some room for MP recovery items and for when I got materials.

Not to mention, each arrow took up a slot in the item box, making it more cramped than it already was. This was also one of the reasons why the bow was treated as the weakest weapon.

However! With ‘Transport’ as well as ‘Transfer’ that automatically sent obtained items to the guild’s storage when the item box was full, I’d be able to say goodbye to those problems!

And so, as my second job, I chose ‘Craft Maker’, the true weakest job that was placed in the strongest job ranking just because!

“Alright, let’s try it right away~~~!”

I stood up and readied my bow. The super fighting power I got from the unexpected discovery—I gotta try it as soon as possible!

With my heart beating with anticipation, I activated the ‘feature to re-summon defeated boss monsters’ installed in the training ground.

“Come forth, practice-use Gigantic Dragon Plant!!!”

“Gugaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!”

In response to my shout, a 100-meter-class gigantic monster, the Gigantic Dragon Plant, emerged from the ground!

He was a fake that didn’t give any experience points when defeated, but his appearance and power were the same as the real deal. Even though now I had made it to level 50, he should still be a tough opponent for me.

But,

“Activate Guild System. Gimme all weapons in the item storage!”

I activated the special feature that came with the update.

Those who were affiliated with a guild could freely take items in and out of the guild’s storage as long as they were within the premises.

As a result, my item box was instantly filled with all sorts of weapons.

“Gugaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!”

In response to my action, the Gigantic Dragon Plant began to move.

He released dozens of tentacles and tried to strangle me, but—

“Activate skill! ‘Arms Barrier’, full power!”

That number of tentacles was no longer enough to pose a threat to me.

The moment I shouted, countless summoning formations were appearing behind me. They soon exceeded 20, 40, 60, 80, and finally stopped at ’130’, releasing a blinding light of magic power.

As I was illuminated by the halo, I told the Gigantic Dragon Plant, “Sorry, practice-use Gigataro. Die as my test subject—!”

And then a storm of weapons unleashed.

A large number of swords, spears, axes, sickles, and hammers shot at the Gigantic Plant Dragon.

“Gugigaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?!?!?!”

Facing the overwhelming violence, the practice-use Gigataro screamed.

He tried to protect himself with his tentacles, but it was in vain. Due to my extremely high Luck, all the shot weapons had their special effects triggered.

Burned by a flaming sword, frozen by an ice spear, and inflicted all sorts of abnormal conditions by various other weapons, the Gigantic Dragon Plant’s HP was reduced to zero in an instant…!

“—Hell yeah! Who says it has no combat capability, Craft Maker is the strongest!!!” I clenched my fist at the amazing result.

That powerful giant boss was defeated without being able to resist in just a few seconds. If I had chosen another job, this would have never been possible.

Alright, I’ll show it at the event!

The terrifying power of my brand new ‘weakest’ element, the power of a ‘production-type job’!!!!!

A/N:

・All production-type players be like, “Whut, we never knew we can use our power that way…!”
