Chapter 214 - TRUE FEELINGS

Lie Ruge smiled devilishly as she swayed her body along with the rhythm, she danced so well that people started making space for them. Lie Ruge did not give a damn whether people were looking at her or not, she danced confidently and seductively just like she knew how to.

"Did she do this to you?", Lie Ruge whispered into his ears seductively as she pulled him closer to her body.

"What are you talking about, I don't get you", Yi Lan also whispered back into her ears.

"What about this one?", Lie Ruge asked as she brought her face very close to Yi Lan's face. Their face was so close to the extent that those standing a far off might assume that they were kissing.

" I don't still understand what you are saying", Yi Lan said innocently.

"Really? Then you won't mind if I demonstrate what I mean right?", Lie Ruge whispered back as she quickly let go of him and walked seductively to one of the guys who had been staring at her since she stepped onto the dance floor.

"Hello, handsome, will you mind dancing with me?", Lie Ruge asked seductively as she gave him her most bewitching smile. The guy quickly obliged to her request and attempted to grab her outstretched hand but Yi Lan quickly walked up to him and grabbed his outstretched hand firmly, he twisted the poor guy's hand forcefully to the back making the guy scream out in pain.

"Nobody dares to covet what is mine so back off while I'm still talking or else your corpse will be carried out of here", Yi Lan said menacingly as he threw the guy a murderous glare. Everyone took a step backward in fear when they saw the deadly look on this handsome guy's face. The guy whose shoulder was dislocated instantly left the club in shame.

"Are you jealous? I just wanted to refresh your mind why get so worked up? Why do you keep making me angry", Lie Ruge said softly as she tried to walk away but Yi Lan quickly held her right wrist and pulled her in for a hug.

" I'm sorry if I had hurt you by going to the club without you OK? I know you are trying to make me jealous by trying to be what you are not. I'm sorry OK so don't be mad anymore", Yi Lan said as he hugged her tenderly. Lie Ruge was shocked by his sudden apology, she felt guilty for pretending when in reality she wasn't angry or mad at him.

" I thought you said you didn't recall what you did then why apologized?", Lie Ruge asked as she quickly freed herself from his embrace. She walked back to her seat without listening to Yi Lan's answer.

" Bravo! Sister-in-law that was such a fantastic performance, I never knew that you could dance. You took me by surprise some moment ago", Tan Fan said delightfully as he applauded her.

" Of course, Ge'er can dance very well, the only thing she cannot do is taking medication. She despised taking medicine", Xiao Min said proudly as his eyes shone brightly. Anyone who did not know at that moment that Xiao Min was in love with Lie Ruge was a fool.

" Young Master Xiao I just realized that you know my Sister-in-law very well I thought she was only close to Xiao Bai not knowing that she was quite close to you too. Were you guys childhood sweetheart?", Tan Fan asked ignorantly not knowing that he could get killed for being so dumb to ask Xiao Min that kind of stupid question in the presence of Yi Lan.

You asked just the right question Tan Fan, although Ge'er and Brother Min were not that close when we were kids' people always mistook her as Brother Min's girlfriend whenever they were seen together. There was an incident that occurred two years ago in which brother Min accompanied us for a walk, guess what an old lady that we wanted to buy some handmade bracelets called Ge'er", Xiao Bai said excitedly as she sat down close to Zuo Zhen who was now sweating profusely due to the intensity of the dance. It was obvious to everyone what she was trying to do.

" Did she call her, his sister?", Tan Fan asked curiously.

" No, no, no that is far from it", Xiao Bai said mischievously as she tried to stir them up a little.

" If not his sister then what did she call her?", Tan Fan asked inquisitively, he allowed his curiosity to blind him to the extent that he did not see the angry look on Yi Lan's face.

" She called Ge'er his wife hahaha... isn't that funny?", Xiao Bai asked as she laughed hysterically.

" Yun Yi, hold your woman or I might forget that she is my wife's best friend", Yi Lan whispered to Yun Yi coldly as he threw Xiao Bai a stern gaze but Xiao Bai pretended as if she did not see the sour look on Yi Lan's face.

" Wow! That is so hilarious, I can't believe this", Tan Fan said happily as he laughed wildly to the vexation of Yi Lan who almost threw a bottle of wine at him had Lie Ruge not held his hand.

" Stop it, he might get seriously hurt if you throw the bottle at him", Lie Ruge said firmly as she held onto his right hand which has already grabbed the bottle of wine.

"That is exactly what I want so that next time he will not get on my nerves again", Yi Lan replied angrily as he still attempted to throw the bottle of wine at Tan Fan. The others were too preoccupied with drinking and chatting that they did not notice what was going on except Xiao Min who was sitting down on Lie Ruge's left-hand side.

"If you throw it then I will not talk to you ever again", Lie Ruge threatened with a serious expression on her face which made Yi Lan instantly dropped the bottle back on the table. The one thing he did not want to ever experience again in their relationship was Ge'er refusing to talk to him. He shook his head violently when he remembered how Lie Ruge refused to talk to him for weeks, he did not want to ever experience that feeling of helplessness and anguish ever again. Lie Ruge avoided looking or talking to Yi Lan after the small incident that had just occurred, she only drank and chatted with Xiao Min leaving Yi Lan lonely. She was too occupied talking to Xiao Min and stealing secret glares at Yi Lan occasionally to the point that she forgot to watch over her best friend who has been drinking more than she could handle. She only knew that Xiao Bai was drunk when she started misbehaving.

"Ge'er is the only one who treats BaiBai the best in this world. Ge'er in our next lives let's not be friends but sisters Ok? If you were a boy then I would have gotten married to you a long time ago, by now our kids would have been calling us father and mother", Xiao Bai said drunkenly as she staggered towards where Lie Ruge was sitting down, she pushed Yi Lan violently out of his seat to the awe of everyone.

"Don't worry BaiBai we will definitely be sisters in our next life. BaiBai, it's not too late for you to make your dream come true, you have Yun Yi now so you can still give birth to as many little buns as you want", Lie Ruge said as she made her rest her head on her shoulder.

"Yun Yi? I hate him for flirting with ladies other than me and I will get my revenge on him by marrying another man", Xiao Bai said loudly to the hearing of everyone. Everyone looked at Yun Yi pitifully when they heard Xiao Bai's hurtful words. Yun Yi felt as if his heart was stabbed several times with a knife when he heard Xiao Bai's words, he gained the sympathy of everyone on the table with that painful expression on his face. Even Lie Ruge was dumbfounded when she heard Xiao Bai's words, she realized then that Xiao Bai had hidden her true feelings perfectly from her when they were planning this fake revenge game.

" Yun Yi its better you clear up the misunderstanding between you and our cute princess because I think she was really hurt this time around although she didn't show it earlier. Her heart is very delicate so protect it very well or else someone else might take her away from you", Tan Fan whispered these words into Yun Yi's ears before he turned back his attention to the drunk Xiao Bai. Zuo Zhen who had kept Xiao Bai company throughout that night knew that his time was up, so he sat down and watched the little show before him quietly. Zuo Zhen deliberately did not stop Xiao Bai from drinking because he wanted to help her and Yun Yi mend things, he knew that Yun Yi will understand how she truly feels if she said it out aloud, and he knew that the perfect way to get her to say out how she felt was to let her get drunk. After regaining his senses Yun Yi stood up and walked to where the drunk Xiao Bai had already fallen asleep.

" Thanks, sister-in-law, I will take over from here", Yun Yi said as he quickly carried her like a baby.

" Goodnight everyone", Yun Yi said before he carried her outside. Yi Lan was surprised to see that it was already very late when he checked his wristwatch, so he wanted to take Ge'er home too, but he didn't know how to say it in a way that she would not get angry since she was still mad at him. They continued to talk and drink even after the departure of Yun Yi and Xiao Bai, Yi Lan finally found the courage to talk to her thirty-minutes later.

" Ge'er, it's already 3:00 am I think we should leave now or what do you say?", Yi Lan asked softly.

" If that is what you want then it's perfectly Ok with me", Lie Ruge replied calmly to the surprise of Yi Lan who was afraid that his lovely wife will get upset with him.

" Ok let's go then", Yi Lan said as he stood up from his seat, Lie Ruge also stood up too and turned around to face Xiao Min.

" Thank you so much Xiao Min for accompanying me tonight, I had a lot of fun", Lie Ruge said smiling.

"I'm glad to know that I was of some help to you, goodnight Ge'er", Xiao Min said as he quickly stood up and gave her a warm hug before she could turn around. " Goodbye, my unrequited love", Xiao Min said inwardly as he released her. Everyone was surprised to see Yi Lan calm after what Xiao Min did to his woman. Lie Ruge smiled warmly at him when he released, it was as if she knew the reason why he had done what he did. She had known the fact that Xiao Min likes her for a long time now, but she had pretended not to know according to Xiao Bai's instructions. Xiao Bai had proposed for her to keep it a secret because she did not want to see her older brother hurt, she knew back then that her best friend wasn't ready to fall in love or be in any relationship with any man that was why she did what she did. Lie Ruge waved everyone goodbye before she and Yi Lan left the club, the three guys also followed suit afterwards.
