Chapter 1263 Loosing Hope In People?

Name:Back For My Daughter Author:HaoShu
While Grandma Yan was thinking about all that and also cooking lunch for them, in the living room.

Grandpa Xiao was reading a book as always while rubbing his eyes every few moments.

"Why is this happening? I got my eyes checked just 3 weeks ago."

He was wearing glasses as he read the book in his hand, but every few moments he would have trouble continuing to read.

"Could my eyesight power have increased even more?"

He wondered about trying to remove his specks from his nose bridge, intending to stop reading since it would only be wasteful and cause more harm.

Just a few days ago when they were planning to come here, he had his eyes checked properly by the optician and changed his glasses so for his sight to change in just a matter of a few weeks was indeed not a good sign according to him.

But just as he was about to place the glasses back into their small plastic case, his eyes somehow landed on the book that he was reading just now and had forgotten to close it.

A frown appeared on his face as he once again tried to look at the book thinking that it was nothing but a mere hallucination of his.

But when he looked at it once more, the spectacle case that was still open in his hand couldn't help but drops due to his shock.

"I can see it clearly?!"

The words that he was having a hard time reading through his glasses just a few breaths ago could not be seen by him through the naked eyes without any help from lenses.

One had to know that during all of his free time, Grandpa Xiao would be reading either newspapers or books, which had caused him to develop high presbyopia and that only continued to develop even more as time went on.

But right now all of a sudden his eyes seemed to have gotten better.

In fact, he had been experiencing the same problems for a week but then thinking that it was due to his new glasses, Grandpa Xiao didn't think much about it and lessened his reading time.

He was a farmer and living in the city was a pretty bore for him and since there was nothing for him to do other than somehow use this time doing his hobby, but that also seemed hard since his eyes would not be able to see after a few minutes and he would have to take a break.

It had been troubling him for a few days and wanted to go and check for the lenses and his eyes once again but what he noticed just now was shocking.

He never thought that the reason why he was not able to see through his lens properly was not that his number seemed to have increased but because his eyes had turned better.

"But how come all of a sudden it's like this?"

He muttered under his breath now even sparing a look at his spectacles that seemed to already have developed a few cracks throughout the lenses meaning that he would never be able to use them.

But from the looks of it, the chances of him ever needing to use them were also the least.

Why would he need to use his glasses even knowing that he could see everything clearly?

In fact, unlike Yuan Meng, who had the Spiritual Eye, Ning Wei was also facing the same problem.

Yuan Meng's eyes were just like any powerful instrument used to looking at things that were too far or too small, her eyes would adapt to them no matter if she was wearing her glasses or not, that was also why she was not having any kind of trouble when even wearing her spectacles while at work.

Of course, she would not wear them when she arrived back home since it didn't matter if the ones in the home saw her like this.

But that was not the same for the place she worked.

There were already a few who would keep on staring at her and now that she didn't really need to wear her lenses, it would only cause them to stare at her without even wanting to blink their eyes.

So wearing her glasses only made her stay a bit away from the trouble that she never wanted.

"Well, it's good anyways, at least now I won't have to look around searching for my glasses."

With a shrug, Grandpa Xiao grinned and went back to reading.

Meanwhile, Grandma Yan in the kitchen was also busy making lunch for the three of them.

"Little Qi said that he would come for lunch and then later go to pick up the girls back."

"SIGH, this kid, I just hope that he doesn't overdo it."

She shook her head, releasing a sigh of helplessness.

She knew that the reason for Ye Qian to pick for the night shift was the very fact that he wanted to spend time with his child and she also didn't blame him for thinking like that.

Whenever she saw Ye Qian while the girls were playing and making fun, there would always be a trace of regret in his eyes and she knew very well what this regret was about.

For not being able to see their child's first step or hear the first words that their child uttered.

While she was thinking about her son, Ye Qian was sitting beside the hospital bed with the same golden dagger in his hand while looking at the woman with a perplexed expression on his face.

"I think you want to tell me about something and that might change the very way I was thinking all this long?"

Seeing Ye Qian a bit troubled and also unwilling or unclear if he should talk about what he was thinking or not, the lady asked with a simple smile on her face.

"Yes, this will indeed hurt you a bit and may also lose hope in any person."

Ye Qian nodded lifting his eyes from the dagger and at the woman.
