Sitting beside the hospital bed on which the woman sat Ye Qian held her head low not willing to meet her eyes.

The reason was pretty simple, he had just said something that he himself didn't feel was right.

Seeing his head low, a knowing smile appeared on her lips as if she was aware that Ye Qian was regretting saying the words from before.

But there was nothing that she felt wrong about.

She said while reaching her hand towards the golden dagger that was in Ye Qian's other hand and picking it up.

"I will tell you how I got this, but you will have to do something for me."

Her eyes narrowed as she looked at her reflection on the gleaming blade of the dagger.

"Please tell me, I will do it if I think it's right and I have the ability to do it."

Ye Qian nodded, pursing his lips and looking at the dagger.

Meanwhile, a few meters behind him, upon seeing the woman take the stage and the mysterious dagger that had appeared in Ye Qian's hand from thin air into her hands, Bo became cautious as he increased his guard.

The woman was very close to Ye Qian and the fact that she had taken the dagger from his hand gave him an immense sense of danger.

Although he might have not known what the dagger was or anything related to its origin and what was its use either, Bo had seen this woman kill the heinous demon last night with this very dagger.

And he had been there when the highly powerful magnum bullets were shot at the demon's skull consecutively but were still not enough to even make a single scratch on its head.

This dagger which looked like some kind of decorative artifact had pierced into that demon's skin like a knife being poked into the wet sand.

And that made him be extremely vigilant, fearing that she might try to harm Ye Qian out of nowhere since she was considered mentally unfit.

Seeing an eminent light in Ye Qian's eyes as if he was not lying in the least, the woman nodded and looked at the dagger and after a moment released a deep sigh.

"From what happened yesterday, I know that that beast was not the only one responsible for the death of my Huo, all I ask for you is to help me kill that creature and give me peace of heart."

She then looked at Ye Qian with moist eyes and then continued.

"I know that if it was not for you, I might have not even been able to kill the monster who killed my son."

She took Ye Qian's hands in her hands and placed them on her head.

"This grieving mother begs for you to complete this only wish that I have after knowing the truth that I have not known these years."

"Please... help me, sniff..."

What she had said was indeed true, when she was given the mysterious weapon, she had been told that without the proper source of energy, the weapon would never be able to completely annihilate the monster whom she was looking for no matter if she plunged the knife right into that monster's head or even heart.

And in fact, what she had been told was true.

Even if the golden dagger was a God weapon unless one inserted any kind of Spiritual Qi in it, it won't be able to really demolish someone whom you want to kill.

Ye Qian shook his head with a  sigh and then said.

"You don't have to ask for that, I and the person behind all of this already have a feud and there is no other way but his death to stop that."

The moment he had learned that the Corpse General was after Yuan Meng due to someone's orders, Ye Qian had already marked that person as someone whom he would need to wipe out or it would only cause great devastation in the future.

He was already taking the possibility of that evil cultivator from at least a thousand years before was at the cusp of entering the Immortal realm and was only held due to the earthly laws which would demolish him the moment he came out of his hiding.

Ye Qian might not have always tried to stop the evil in the heavens since he knew that the evil was just a cause of a need for some people, but whenever he would feel that it was not right, he would still try to do the best he could to do what was right.

The lady nodded and then sobered up while wiping her tears.

She then looked at the dagger in her hand and then started recalling who she had stumbled upon it.

She took a  deep breath after calling her son's name and then continued.

"No one would believe me no matter how much I tried to tell them, even my husband back then was the first one who thought that I had lost my mind."

As she said that, a disappointed look flashed on her face.
