Chapter 1152 The Gifts That Were Promised

The atmosphere in the car had turned eerily quiet, and right now even Ye Qian who had a few questions about Shu Jie, now didn't have the heart to ask.

Mrs Ji also didn't say anything nor dare to look at the back seats with how things had suddenly taken a turn of events.

There were numerous questions that popped into her mind as she saw the three adults, many were of course related to the peculiar relationship among the three just like how anyone else would have after getting to know the small family.

But no matter how many questions she had in her mind, she defiantly could not ask them directly and maybe not even to the there of them.

'Or maybe I can ask Mr Ye, he might not get annoyed?'

As she thought, she looked at Ye Qian who had a serious pondering look on his face.

He could tell that Ye Qian loved both Little Qiqi and Little Jia the same, although she didn't know just which of them was his real daughter, but she could see that Ye Qian had really gotten mad when Ning Wei scolded Little Jia.

In fact, she also felt that this reaction from Ning Wei was just a bit too much, but when she saw Ning Wei, Mrs Ji knew that Ning Wei was not to be completely blamed either.

It was just due to a turn of her emotions and memories that she had reacted in such a manner, and maybe it was related to what the little girl had asked her mother about.

Because from the looks of it, she could tell that all of them stayed together and were even staying together before they parted for some reason which only Ning Wei knew about.

After the meetup and the small prayer for the blessings, the kids were about to sit when they felt something in their pockets.

"Huh, do you feel that there is something in your pocket too?"

In Little Qiqi's class, Mei asked as she turned to Ji and other of her friends.

"Yes,  also feel something is in my pocket!"

Three more responded among them was Zhimen and another boy while the other girls from Little Qiqi's friend circle nodded.

"Hmm."

"Wait let Qiqi see what is in Qiqi's pocket!"

Little Qiqi pursed her lips as she fished her hand into her pocket.

The little ones were tearing short pants and t-shirts, so the moment they sat on some of them felt that there was something in their pockets.

Meanwhile, seeing the small commotion in her class, it didn't take a long time for Wu Ying to notice since more than half a dozen of children were acting like this.

"Qiqi, Ji, Mei, Zhimen, Rou, what are you all doing?"

Wu Ying asked as she walked toward their benches.

She knew that the kids would not cause trouble for no apparent reason and there had to be something for them to behave like this.

"Miss Wu, when...when we sitting we all felt that there was something in our pockets."

Little Ji said while staring at Wu Ying while others nodded.

"Huh, you all felt the same?"

Wu Ying was still confused when she heard someone giggling.

"Hehe, Qiqi knew that it would be Papa."

She and the others turned to Little Qiqi who said that she would see what was in her pocket and saw that the little girl had a small box in her small palm.

The box was nothing but a cube which was made of hard paper which was wrapped with sparkling paper.

If it was some other time then Wu Ying would have been alarmed by the presence of such mysterious boxes, but she knew that this was probably done by Ye Qian and she was sure that he would not do something to harm his own child.

"Wow, Qiqi, is that the surprise gift that your Dad said about that we should search for after we get to our class?"

A little boy asked in exclaiming, his eyes shining like stars as he beamed.

"Hehe, yes, this should be."

"But...but why do I also have a box with me?"

Zhimen asked as he found that there was a similar box in his pocket as well.

He had heard from Qiqi and his friends that Little Qiqi's father did a few magic tricks in front of all of them and even said that he had given every one of them a surprise gift.

But he was not there when Ye Qian did the magic tricks, so he didn't understand how he also had a gift box.

"Zhimen, didn't you say that you met Qiqi's Papa?"

"Hmm, I and my Mom met your Mom, Big Sister Jia and also your Dad. He even called so many birds for my mom and me to see."

Remembering the scene that he had witnessed with his own eyes, the little guy's eyes lit up in amazement.

"Hehe, then Qiqi thinks that at that time Papa gave you one too."

Saying that the little girl unwrapped the small box.

"Ohhh!"

The kids around also exclaimed as they stared at the box which was being unwrapped by the little girl.

"Could it be the earrings like the other girl that uncle Ye give to?"

Mei wondered, her hopes were high as she thought about it since the little girl had liked those earrings a lot.

Hearing her, the eyes of the other girls also brightened.

They were there when Ye Qian gave the earrings to the little girl before and was awed by the piece of jewellery

No matter the age, they were still women after all.

So for them to be fascinated by it was nothing much of a shock.

In fact, even Wu Ying was staring at the box in Little Qiqi's hand without even batting an eye.

Even she hoped that there would be an earring.

Just as the little girl completely unwrapped the box, the group exclaimed.

"AHHHH!"
