One could just say that the average age of normal people was about 80 or so, but when one entered the Early stages of Chi Gathering their lifespan would be increased to that of more than a hundred.

And with each growth in the cultivation of that person, they would get an increase in lifespan.

But even if that was to be done, a Chi-Gathering cultivator would be able to live for more than 100 years, but they would be worn down and unless they were to reach higher cultivation they would only accept their faith and continue living like this till they reached the end of their lifespan.

And the same went on for a cultivator at the Golden Core Stage who would have a life span of about 300 years, but even then, unless they reached the Nascent Soul Stage and were close to crossing 300 years of their age, then they would only be waiting for their death.

But the living dead opposed such laws which would be against the natural laws where one would have to die even if they were to cultivate and gain more lifespan.
