Chapter 745 Saved Because Of Misfortune

"Alright, show me the friends of that girl."

The inspector pondered for a moment and then asked the young constable.

"Sir they are right there."

The guy pointed in the direction of the school gate where Lin, Yu Lan, Yanran and Mei were sitting on a bench.

Yu Lan seemed to be applying some get onto Lin's hand as she was scratched by the shards of the glass which were left within the door and she tried to pull the door off until the constable came to help them.

"You are really courageous, your friend is very lucky to have friends like you."

The inspector arrived in front of them followed by the middle-aged constable who seemed to be panting and gasping for breath.

Yu Lan who was helping Lin to apply some ointment looked up and saw a police officer standing in front of them and standing up.

"It's alright, you should apply the medicine to her, there is no need for this."

The inspector waved his hand at them seeing that they were about to stand up.

Although he was not much in power, he was still a police officer who would do his duty with full honesty.

And there were very few times when he was really respected because of this.

As they say, the world was ruled by strength, no matter what age it was, if one had the power and strength in them then you would be respected.

But he understood that the girls in front of him were respecting him only because he was a police officer.

Mei was not sure if she should say it or not, she was afraid that if this got out then the Le Yun would make Xiao Ya hurt.

But that was not for Lin, she quickly narrated what had happened till the explosion happened.

Seeing him clenching his fists, the middle-aged constable sighed.

He called out to the young inspector, he knew what the young man in front of him was thinking about and what was going on in his mind.

Although his position was comparatively high when compared to the middle-aged constable behind him, the inspector still respected him for his wiseness and work for so long.

He understood that the senior didn't want him to lose his sense just because of his emotions.

Even if he knew that according to the rules, right after Le Yun got out of the hospital in a few days he should be getting him to the police station and then to prison for his actions.

But given the position of the Le family and the power, they held in their hands, even before he was to want to get him to the prison many would already be forcing him to release the young fellow.

The young inspector could only sigh and held his head low in front of Yu Lan and her friends.

Lin clenched her fists in anger.

She knew that with what he had done, Le Yun should have already been rotting in the prison so far, but with his family backing him, even the police didn't dare to touch him.

And even though she had seen the anger in this inspector's eyes, she was sure that even if he wanted to, he would not be able to have the power to go against someone like Le Yun.

One had to know that even though Le Yun didn't dare to do anything to Lin because of her family, but there was no way that she would be able to help her friend much even if she had a powerful family behind her.

And that was because even if her family was pretty strong enough, there were also a few people who would want to stay away from such incidents which had little to no benefits for them.

Much less that, some would even want slander for no reason.

Although her father, mother and elder brother would surely support her, Lin was sure that others from her family would not want to help her friends if they were to know that it was Le Yun.

Lin could only sigh knowing that even if the inspector wanted he didn't have the strength to do what he deemed right.

"Thanks a lot, police officer, although others would have not even wanted to listen to what our friend had suffered, you were really good and know what is wrong and right."

Lin sighed and turned to the remaining.

"Let's go, you all should be hungry."

Lin turned back along with her friends.

Their plan was to go out for lunch today, but with what had happened, none of them had the appetite to eat anything and could only go to the canteen to fill their stomach so as to not feel dizzy later on.
