122 Excitement Across the Internet! Luofeng Discovers an Ancient Tomb! (4)

“Yeah, this should be one of the tomb’s corridors!”

Of course, Luo Feng did not immediately head down into the tomb. Instead, he had gone back to his camp to prepare several coil of ropes.

As for gas masks, Luo Feng prepared no such item.

Instead, he intended to use candles as a substitute.

As long as the candle was able to burn normally, it meant the atmospheric content within the tomb was normal.

If it was unable to burn normally, however, it meant that there were other gaseous substances contained within the air.

In general, most poisonous gases were non-flammable.

After tying the candle with a rope, Luo Feng slowly let down the candle.

After reaching a certain depth, he then pulled it back up.

The candle did not burn quickly nor did it go out, which meant that the nitrous content within the tomb’s atmosphere was normal.

With his worries assuaged, Luo Feng decided that it was fine to push on. After all, the tomb was already visited by tomb raiders once, and even if it had been sealed by the landslide for some time, Luo Feng did not think that it would pose much of an issue.

“There’s no problem with the atmosphere down there. Brother An, Brother Yong, do you wish to join me down there?” Luo Feng asked.

After confirming the tomb’s safety, Luo Feng posed the question to his partners.

Hearing no response, Luo Feng stood up and tidied his clothes.

Then, after finding a safety bar and tying a rope around it, he then suspended it over the hole to enter the tomb.

“I’ll head down too, make sure to help me down later!”

After giving it some thought, and sensing An Peng and Zhang Shunyong’s reluctance, Qin Rubing spoke up.

“Huh? I guess that’s fine, but…”

Luo Feng was caught off guard by her declaration. Qin Rubing was the boldest woman he had ever met.

“I don’t need your protection! Did you forget that I’m a professional too!?”

Qin Rubing uttered in assurance when she saw Luo Feng’s troubled look.

“I’m not saying that you’ll be a hindrance, but I think it’s best that we stick together later! We need to be careful!”

Once he had finished speaking, Luo Feng tied the rope around his waist and gradually made his way down into the tomb.

After a dozen or so seconds of lowering the rope, he finally landed on the ground.

A drone was also trailing after him.

After all, his stream must go on.

He turned on the flashlight, and in an instant, the tomb was illuminated.

“This is indeed a corridor!”

Naturally, not all tombs were the same.

Some tombs were decorated with carvings, statues, and various ornaments from top to bottom, whereas the more ordinary tombs were not adorned with anything.

Just like a living person’s house, the wider and more luxuriously decorated a tomb was decorated, the more indicative of the person’s wealth it was.

“This ancient tomb is huge!”

“Damn, this corridor is massive!”

“If Old Luo continues walking forward, will he reach the main burial chamber?”

“If he continues walking forward, he might fall for a trap!”

“That’s some Indiana Jones sh*t right there!”

“I’m so nervous!”

Luo Feng’s first instinct was to inspect the walls more closely, but he suddenly remembered that Qin Rubing was right behind him.

As such, he immediately headed towards the rope to assist her in her landing.

“Thank you!”

Qin Rubing blushed slightly. After all, in his effort to ensure her safe landing, Luo Feng had embraced her in a princess-carry style.

This was the first time she had experienced the warmth of a man.

“You’re welcome. Also, please take care down here. Although I doubt there are traps as deadly as the tombs portrayed in adventure novels, I’m certain that there are still traps here!”

Luo Feng laughed somewhat malevolently and said, “Especially when the tomb’s owner is a person of such great status!”

“I know, no need to remind me!”

Qin Rubing grumpily replied.

“…”

Damn, she’s as prickly as a porcupine.

While Luo Feng was somewhat put off by her sudden jabs, Luo Feng had preferred Qin Rubing’s straightforwardness over those who were sweet-tongued and deceitful.

The truth of this world is that those who you go along well with are often time scheming b*stards.

It is due to their careful and deceitful nature that there are able to make you feel at home when hanging out with them.

Although these type of people are all smiles on the surface, when the need to mess with you arises, you will experience a living hell.

In contrast, those who were simple-minded and straightforward were perhaps the best people to hang around with.

Sure, they might scold you and be mean towards you, but when push comes to shove, they would oftentimes have your back.

“Hmm, this tomb might be big, but look at the walls, there aren’t any beautiful murals!”

“Heck, there aren’t even any stone pillars to hold candles for lighting the way!”

“It looks a little shabby!”

Qin Rubing stated her opinions frankly.

Even though the tomb’s corridor was very wide.

It felt like a big villa in the countryside.

There was no style or substance to it.
