Chapter 38 - My mates

Grant pulled me in, his lips barely touching mine. I didn't expect him to just do it. I didn't have the time to close my eyes. The aquamarine taint around his iris glow intensely. Was he using tricks on me? He smiled against my lips.

-Just, relax.

His voice resonated in my mind like honey melting my will. It was freaking unfair, I fought against that irresistible pull between us but it was a lost battle. I found myself kissing him back. Fingers tips trailing up my back made shivers shoot all through my body. Even though Grant light kissed, left hot trails on my lips and along my jawline, the places that hand, which I knew belonged to Demos touched, made me arched with pleasure.

-Do you like when I touch you?

Shit! Where that cheesy dialogue came from? Almost a turn-off. Yet as his hands slipped under my pajama top, I jolted. As they proceed to eat me alive, all my rational thoughts went out the window. I panted heavily against Grant as Demos' hand roamed over my skin. I completely forgot about the headache and the dizziness. My only focus stayed on Grant's lips and Demos' fingers.

-I love you

I could feel through the link the warmth that came with the words. They weren't just words. My eyes flickered open. I was sandwiched between them. I turned to Demos and he hungrily caught my mouth crushing his lips over mine. My hands spontaneously went into his hair stroking the smooth part of his short hair. He m.o.a.ned and with one motion, he pulled me away from Grant's on top of him lips searching for mine. I met his desire with the same passion. He cupped my face slightly pushing me away so I could catch my breath then press his forehead against mine.

"I'm so happy," he murmured. A second pair of lips came to kiss my cheek while Demos kissed my forehead with the sweetest way. I looked up at Grant kneeling next to us. He smiled with his eyes sparkling, he wrapped his arms around us, kiss my temple. I felt a dot at the center of my being grew hot. It swelled in my chest to explode into millions of fireworks. I smudged in their embrace, sobs bubbled up my throat. Something broke loose inside me. Something I didn't know was there. Something I've suppressed for years…something I've denied the existence.

-love

Tears spilled over my cheeks. They held me in their arms, fearing I might fall apart as heavy sobs rocked my body. They silently stroke my back to calm me. I emptied all emotions until I felt to sleep in their arms. I knew I was safe. My mates will be there to love and protect me. I drifted to warm dreams of sunny meadows filled with flowers. That time when I could smile without worry before the void happened. Back when I was in my hometown. Back when I could love easy living in a tiny house with potted flowers on the front porch.
