Chapter 142 Gutmann?

Ming believed that now, he could only eliminate Caesar himself. He calculated that adorned with agility equipment, breaking an agility score of 200 would pose no issue. Upon activating the ultimate speed, his agility would triple to 600, a feat no one present could achieve. At this moment, all that was lacking was an enhanced state.

"Now, I only lack an enhanced state!" Ming organized his equipment, checking for any deficiencies.

"All Illusion Dancers and Cantors, come forth!"  David said. "Release your enhancement magic abilities!"

As the surrounding people echoed his shout, several individuals swiftly gathered around.

"Who shall we sing and dance for?" the crowd inquired.

"For me!" Ming declared, brandishing his chainsaw.

A minute later, a man clad in crocodile skin and wielding a chainsaw burst from the crowd, charging directly toward the five-star King Zombie Caesar.

"Who is that? What's he trying to do?"

"He's challenging the King-level Zombie one-on-one!"

"Good fellow! I'll grant him a psychic ability boost of Gladiator's Courage!"

"I, a Stalker, will provide him with the Gale psychic ability enhancement!"

"I'll lend him a hand as well!"

"..."

As Ming charged, various individuals occasionally cast magic abilities on him, stacking his attributes. Without activating ultimate speed, his agility had already reached 300!

"All Elementalists with control psychic abilities, such as Binding or Entangling, follow me and trail behind him!" David shouted, leading the charge.

At this moment, everyone ceased hesitating, and even those who were not Elementalists followed behind.

"Barrier, activate your magic shields to help them withstand attacks!"

"Form two columns on either side, protecting them in the middle!"

"..."

Jeremy saw the man with the chainsaw, struck by several playing cards but not faltering. He also observed that even when the cards cut the man's clothes, he still pressed forward, as did those following him.

He bent down, picked up a bloodstained knife, and followed closely behind.

Ming didn't activate his ultimate speed immediately as he charged forward with the chainsaw. He was waiting for the King Zombie to unleash its ability, knowing that his maximum speed had a limited duration and not wanting his rhythm to be disrupted.

King Caesar glanced at the approaching man with the chainsaw and bent down to offer a blood-red rose.

"Accept this Rose" is a binding effect that would stun the target for 5 seconds.

"I don't want it!" Ming snarled, catching the rose and flinging it away. His crocodile skin coat's passive ability negated the stun effect, and he immediately swung the chainsaw, slicing through the opponent's blocking arm.

His next target: Caesar's eyes.

The King Zombie gazed at Ming with its purple eyes, blinking to cast a "Charming Gaze," an immobilizing effect.

"I can hold it!" Ming stared back, the crocodile skin coat's passive ability Dissoluting the immobilization.

"that all of Your abilities ?"

Instantly, Ming activated his ultimate speed, tripling his agility to 900.

Speed crushed everything!

He transformed into a blur, leaping into the air and swinging the chainsaw horizontally at the King Zombie's eyes, cutting from left to right.

With a wet squelch, its left eye was sliced apart.

Simultaneously, the King Zombie's right arm, clad in a white glove, grabbed the chainsaw, stopping its teeth. Ming, still holding the chainsaw, was suspended in mid-air.

"Not good!" David exclaimed, immediately turning to the Elementalists and shouting, "The time has come! Release all binding, limiting, and slowing magic abilities!"

He raised both arms to his chest, bellowing, "Dammit!"

His sand jar on his back erupted, its mouth facing downwards, as fine sand flowed like water, gathering between his arms. The weight of several hundred pounds made his face turn red with bulging veins, and the sand on his skin forced him to squint. His eyes widened, and he pushed his arms forward with gritted teeth, roaring, "Sand Binding!"

The yellow sand shot out like dragons, coiling around the King Zombie's raised left arm. At the same time, various elemental debuffs, such as Ice Slow, Mud Trap, Vine Entanglement, and more, all fell upon the King Zombie.

Now, the King Zombie, with only its right eye remaining, still gripped the chainsaw. As it raised its left hand, holding a magic wand to strike Ming, it was bound by a mass of sand.

Ming didn't release the chainsaw, remaining suspended mid-air, and summoned a "Psychic Giant Eagle." The little sparrow transformed into a massive eagle and swooped toward the Zombie's right eye to distract it.

Ming pulled out a double-barreled shotgun with his other hand, aimed it at the King Zombie's right eye, and pulled the trigger!

Bang!

The gunshot rang out, and the bullet penetrated the Zombie's defenses, shattering its right eye.

Grrr!!

The Zombie roared angrily, swinging its right hand and hurling Ming and the chainsaw through the air. Simultaneously, it pulled out two decks of playing cards in each hand, scattering them as an area attack called "cards Storm." However, it had already been affected by numerous debuff magic abilities, causing its movements to slow down slightly.

"Watch out for the cards!"

Ming, tumbling through the air, shouted a warning before steadying himself and landing, retreating several steps to dissipate the force.

"Barrier, activate your psychic shield!"

"Activate the shield!"

"..."

With a rustling sound, 108 playing cards flew out like petals in the wind, raining down on the crowd like sharp blades. The barriers'  shields took the brunt of the card onslaught; the pale blue energy shield began to crack and was eventually shattered by the following cards.

The remaining cards landed among the crowd, instantly shredding the clothes on some of the people.

"the Zombie is blind now. Everyone, be cautious and avoid the flying cards."

"Everyone spread out. Barrier, stay in front of the Elementalists to block the cards."

"The rest of you, carefully dodge and attack!"

"..."

Ming, holding his shotgun, positioned himself at an appropriate distance and shot to deal damage. He had done everything he could; now, it was up to everyone else.

With its eyes destroyed, the King Zombie could only blindly throw cards, no longer able to dodge the various psychic abilities and arrows raining down on it. It could only make a final struggle as its health continued to drop.

Ming glanced at the woman beside him, chugging another bottle of spirit potion. He watched as she swung her narrow sword, unleashing a barrage of fireballs like a mad woman.

In the next instant, the woman stumbled, becoming dizzy. David appeared from somewhere, supporting her and handing her another spirit potion.

The woman got up, brushing off the dirt from her clothes. "Thanks, but you're way too dirty~."

"..."

David felt uncomfortable, coughing, and the dust on his face stirred up sand.

"..."

Ming continued to attack King Zombie, thinking that David was quite a dusty guy.

Several minutes later.

[System-wide announcement: Congratulations to District 109 for successfully killing the shared boss! The fog in their district has dissipated by 3%; all members are awarded 5000 experience points and 2000 gold coins.]

["..."]

"We finally killed it!"

"Let's celebrate tonight!"

"Those who are injured, quickly buy fast-acting virus-blocking potions!"

"Damn, we finally killed it!"

"..."

Buzz!

Suddenly, thousands of light floated up from the zombie corpses in gray, white, green, blue, purple, orange, and gold, a dazzling array of colors.

There was only one golden, and six orange ones, and the rest were a mix of the other colors. The buzzing rose again, and all the lights scattered, automatically seeking their owners and turning into cards that fell into their hands.

"..."

At this moment, everyone was staring at the golden one surrounded by several colorful lights in mid-air, which hadn't fallen yet.

Whoosh!

Then, the golden one flew into the distance and disappeared into the ruins.

"Where's the chainsaw guy?"

"Don't bother looking. That golden light just now was chasing him."

"Does anyone know where he lives? Should we go and thank him?"

"I have no idea! We don't even know his name."

"..."

Everyone shook their heads.

"Everyone, although I don't know where he lives, I do know his name."

At this point, David stepped forward, "If you want to know, each of you can give me one gold coin, and I'll tell you."

"No need for that hassle. You tell me, and I'll give you 300 gold coins."

"Alright, pay up!"

After some transactions, the money arrived in David's account.

"Quick, what's his name?"

"Stop keeping us in suspense."

"Ahem!"

David cleared his throat, "Listen carefully; his name is Good Man!"

"Gutmann?"

"That is indeed a good name."

"So, it's Gutmann."

"Thanks to Gutmann."
