"Well, how much Mana did it consume?" Read latest chapters at nov(e)lbin.com Only

Katie curiously asked.

"Approximately about 10 million worth of Mana,"

I replied, observing her expression, eager to gauge her reaction.

To my amusement, she didn't disappoint in expressing a mix of awe and disbelief.

"10 Million Mana!!"

Her eyes widened, and her jaw almost dropped to the ground.

"The way you said it seems like it's nothing for you, but I guess it's kinda expected considering your abilities,"

Katie remarked, a mix of awe and understanding in her tone.

It seemed like my abilities had both surprised and intrigued her, creating a blend of emotions on her face.

"Still, this is the Ancient Ruins?"

Katie marvelled at the majestic appearance of the ruin as she approached it.

"No one would have expected that, for the Ruins to appear, one must have 10 Million Mana. Otherwise, it won't appear," I remarked.

"Then, do we go in?"

Her eyes sparkled with excitement, revealing a level of enthusiasm that seemed to surpass even my own.

"Yeah, let's go in," I nodded and chuckled.

At the entrance of the ruins, a hollow staircase led down to an unknown destination.

Without any fear, I descended the stairs, with Katie following closely behind.

The anticipation of discovering the mysteries hidden within the Ancient Ruins filled the air as we ventured into the unknown depths.

As we ventured deeper, the echo of our footsteps resonated louder through the passage.

"Isn't this a bit eerie?"

Katie remarked, sensing an ominous vibe from the Ancient Ruin.

"Whether or not it's eerie, it won't threaten us,"

I declared with confidence, assuring her that whatever challenges lay ahead, we were well-prepared to face them.

"I feel safer when you say it that way. After all, you knocked down that monster with just a glare,"

Katie remarked, her tone carrying a comforting note, expressing the trust she placed in me.

After descending the staircase for about 10 minutes, we finally reached our destination.

The anticipation in the air grew, and I couldn't help but wonder what awaited us within the depths of the Ancient Ruin.

"What is this?" Katie's expression was full of curiosity, surprise and disbelief.

And I could understand why she had reacted that way.

After all, around us, there were Ancient languages that we didn't understand.

However, even though we couldn't understand the words inscribed on the walls, I knew their origin.

With a sense of urgency, I reached out and seized the artefact, and in an instant, my consciousness was whisked away to an unknown realm.

"Where am I?"

I pondered aloud, my voice echoing in the unfamiliar surroundings.

Despite the disorientation, there was a surprising absence of panic or fear in my demeanour.

As my gaze traversed the expansive white expanse surrounding me, I discerned an absence of discernible features.

The pristine emptiness was both serene and disconcerting.

Yet, as I turned on my heels, a breathtaking revelation awaited.

Before I stood an immense, colossal being, dwarfing even the Divinity that had manifested before.

Its sheer size transcended comprehension, an awe-inspiring presence that left me momentarily breathless in the face of this unexpected encounter.

"What...is that...!?" I muttered loudly.

Right before me, there was a being with black skin and long ears. It wasn't a human, but it had a humanoid figure.

But what's remarkably eye-catching about this being is its third eye on its forehead.

However, as I was admiring it, its third eye suddenly appeared before me, looking directly into my eyes.

For some reason, I felt a massive pain in my head and when the pain disappeared, I was back in the room with Katie anxiously calling out for me.

"Daniel! Can you hear me!?" She screamed as she shook my shoulder.

"What...? What happened?"

I felt slightly drowsy and it took a few seconds for my mind to be clear and only then did I notice how panicking she was.

"Thank god" She sighed in relief.

"I thought you were dead after the life within your eyes had disappeared and you were unresponsive for 5 minutes"

She explained the situation to me.

"I was out for 5 minutes!?" This time, I was the one who became startled.

The fact that I was brought into another place without knowing how much time had passed or how it was possible for me not to notice was quite concerning.

I could have died within those moments and not knowing whether it'll happen again causes cautious alarm within me.

"Perhaps touching the orb wasn't a wise choice, but where is the orb?" I looked around for the orb and I noticed that it wasn't around.

"Now that you mention it, the moment you touched the orb, it disappeared suddenly" She explained.

Hearing her words, I became anxious.

I wanted to possess the orb but now that it disappeared, the chances of me finding it again are miniscule.

However, just when I was about to panic, there was a notification.

[: Congratulations, you have absorbed the Orb of Karma Overwrite and have received the skill of Eye of Karma(Mythic) :]

So, in the end, the Longinus Weapon turns out not to be a weapon, but rather a skill.

I guess that's even better for me.

"It's alright, the orb's is within me. I've already completed my objective. Let's move on to the next Templar"

After completing my goal, it was time to retrieve the remaining treasures held within each of the Templars, and Katie replied with a wide smile, "Alright!".
