Chapter 811 T.D.O.N.B: The Orc Boss, Round II

Because I had 'Dreadnought' class, I knew that the wounds they inflicted on the boss were basically meaningless. Their approach was wrong. A lot of small cuts weren't enough to slow him down in any way, then needed to cut deeper, but I didn't want to just tell them that. As hunters, they had to be able to come to their own conclusion during the fight. That could be the difference between getting out of the battle victorious, or dead.

After regrouping, they rushed to the opposite sides to go on the offense once again, but they had a new obstacle to deal with. Now the massive orc picked up his weapon, which, to put it lightly, spiced up the situation.

This time Tihana was the one to jump to his face, to strike from above with her sword. She had to move the shield to the side to do this. Meanwhile, John attacked his shins by trying to slice them hard.

The orc reacted in quite a good way, he smacked my daughter with the flat side of his weapon, while trying to once again hit the brat with his left hand. He had to twist his body to achieve that, but it allowed him to keep both of them at bay.

Tihana shadow walked away before he hit her, just to immediately charge. The boss didn't even look at her, He focused solely on the boy, who was pushed back by the attack, but he mostly managed to block it.

He went sliding on the sand, and even before he was able to top himself, the orc was already at him in midswing. My daughter's shadow walked once again to position herself between the two and block the powerful slash with the shield.

I was the one who made it, so it was good enough to block even such a direct attack, but the power behind the weapon was so strong, that it still yanked her into space. She shadow walked once more to lose the kinetic energy and land on the opposite side of the sand pit, while John used the opportunity to attack.

It was some weird fancy shit, as his weapon burst into flames, and a weird shape surrounded his body. It was red, and probably burning too.

He jumped forward swinging his halberd from above and bringing it down. As he did that, the flames turned into a mouth of a dragon, which seemed to be biting at the same thing the blade of his weapon did. He reached the chest of the orc, which burst into flames, then was forced to block the retaliation from the boss, who slammed him with the flat side of his axe.

He was sent flying once again, but this time the impact was stronger, so he reached all the way to the wall of the pit, crouching on it because of the strength of his body, and the force behind the impact. He then jumped off, landing on the sand.

"Not bad", I thought to myself.

Sadly, the orc wasn't just sitting idle as he did that, he charged after him with a nasty burned mark on his left peck after the attack. Tihana shadow walked once again and blocked him. He attacked her with eh ace, but she dodged with ease, blurring him away from John, who already was preparing to strike again.

My daughter did amazing, She started the monster in a way that he presented his back to the brat. It took some offer on her side, as she had to do a dangerous dance on the edge. She stayed in the distance perfect for the boss to swing at her, so he wouldn't ignore the opportunity, and dodged everything.

Judging by her gritted teeth and groans, she had to use every little bit of her strength, agility, and skills to do this, but that's to this, John could charge with ease.

He leaped once again, striking from above using this fancy power of his, and the dragon suns his teeth in the right shoulder of the boss. It was a clean shit, so despite the 'Dreadnought' class, the boss let out a scream of pain while trying to immediately hit the brat back.

He lost some strength in his arm because the wide swing was slower, not to mention so announced that John easily redirected the blade with his weapon so that it went a few feet above his head, not doing any harm.

This attack also created an opening for Tihana. She didn't hesitate at all. She shadow walked to the already wounded shoulder and swung hard using some magic or skill because her blade got covered by electricity jumping like crazy on the surface of the weapon.

It sunk deep into the flesh, making the whole boss's body seize for a moment. The muscles twitched uncontrollably before he regained control over them, which was a perfect situation for my daughter to escape via shadow walk.

The stupid orc decided to go after her despite that, and once again allowed the chain to continue. John reached the shoulder thanks to that and swing at it for the second time. Thit some though, his blade dook so deep that the whole hand almost fell off.

The heavy axe landed on the sand, and the boss stumbled forward, screaming in pain. His voice shook the whole chamber. It was also a perfect announcement of his own end.

The rest of the fight was a complete formality. Without the right arm, the orc couldn't strike or protect himself well, so the two were able to bring him down after a few more attacks.

When he finally fell, bursting into smoke, I started clapping. The rest of the hunters who watched the whole fight holding their breaths joined me. Soon loud shouts and cheers erupted from the edge of the pit making the two below the smile.

This marked the end of the hunt, but I got to spend some more time with my family later. It also made me curious about their abilities I knew nothing about. It was something I definitely was gonna work on in the future after the production of golems would start.
