Chapter 725 - Carrying twins(1)

Initially, Mia didn't like the concept of marriage seeing her parents care more about Ean during his mother's pregnancy and seeing them affectionate.

After seeing how Arlo looks after Sky, she thought all Handsome men pamper their wife and she should find a handsome man.

Instead of enjoying music and dancing, all were having fun talking and hearing Mia tell about her parents and Ean.

Sky almost hid behind Arlo when Mia narrated about her and Arlo. She had tried to stop but Peter stopped Sky letting Mia complete it.

Suddenly they heard a series of people getting near the canopy. Jai, Ryan, Sam and the other four including Sky went to defense mode leaving the other speechless and frightened.

Arlo looked at his wife and sighed, he really wanted to teach her how to be scared and go to him like a mike wife.

Arlo spoke making them relax, "Lieutenant General and his men are coming."

Jai recovered first and the rest slowly. Sky asked, "Who is he? Why is he coming?"

Arlo pulled her to sit as he spoke glancing at the man in his late fifties to enter inside. "Do you remember, you will always have military protection? That's because of him."

Sky turned and saw the man Arlo pointed with his chin. All exchanged glances and looked at the man reaching Arlo and shaking their hands.

Sky snuck next to Jai, "Brother Jai, don't tell me he is some uncle or another type of father."

Jai wanted to laugh seeing her get tensed. "Let's ask him directly."

Sky nodded and stood between Arlo and Jai, without letting them move. Arlo asked her in a low voice, "What's wrong?"

Sky promptly replied, "I don't want to go to prison due to an attempt to murder because I might try to kill him if I hear him say he will take me with him."

Sam thought Sky lost her ability to think straight after knowing about pregnancy when he read her lips seeing her tensed.

Arlo wanted to bob her head but controlled.

That man turned to Loran instead of Sky, "Young man, long time."

Loran was confused as he tried to remember where he had seen him. After some seconds, he widened his eyes, "You were the man who I saved with your grandson admitting you to hospital."

Jai: "..."

Sky: "..."

Jai and Sky looked at each other before the latter asked, "Excuse me little Barton, how come we two don't know about this?"

Loran then started to brief...

--- Past ---

It was when Loran left alone on the bike without being able to see Sky gloomy all day after she had got to know she was Harley.

While riding near the coastal highway, he had seen a toppled car, a man, and the small kid stuck inside. That kid was unconscious and the man couldn't come out.

It was early dawn time and there were no vehicles to ask for others' help. Loran had tried his best and pulled out the two.

That man was bleeding and his first aid kit couldn't treat that. Hence he made them hop on his bike and took them to the hospital quickly.

The child was in shock hence it took nearly seven hours to get conscious. And the man was awake.

Loran wanted to leave but the man's son and daughter-in-law convinced him to stay for some days to let them show their gratitude.

So Loran spent two days in their beach mansion before continuing his road trip.

---

Sky and Jai nodded patting him. The former turned to the man, "My brother helped you. Your family showed his gratification but why do I have security?"

Sky wasn't friendly but she really wanted the answer because she hated how somebody keeps an eye on her yet she couldn't do anything.

Lieutenant general who was seated heard and spoke what Loran didn't remember.

---

The Warren family never holds back in repaying but Loran didn't ask them anything and not even any help.

Three tried their best but Loran always said he didn't need anything.

But seeing him gloomy all the time playing with his mobile, Lieutenant-general Warren had drinks with him on one of the nights.

Loran didn't know they were from a military background and he was drinking their strong-flavored alcohol.

Just in a few pegs, he was drunk and he had received a good night message from a girl.

Seeing him continue drinking after checking the message, Lieutenant-general tried to stop him, "That's enough young man, why are you so depressed?"

Loran then told off Sky's story and added, "... Sister Sky doesn't want to go but she is the only heiress and definitely she will look after the dirty business company if she gets to know why she had to live with us leaving her biological father. My Sister Sky is so tiny and muddled that other cruel businessmen will definitely hurt her... I don't know how to keep her safe."

Then he had started crying and mumbling for a long time. In the meantime Mr. Warren had ordered his men to get the background check on David and why he sent her to the Barton family.

"Don't worry, I will protect your sister."

Loran had laughed at his face, "You can't even be protective of you and your grandson, how can you protect my sister."

Well, Loran had continued to laugh at him.

From that time, he used his authority and power to keep men around Sky in disguise.

He hadn't felt the necessity to inform them to keep it under wraps from everyone so that they could take action at the right time during the problem.

---

Sky and Jai were glaring at Loran.

First to speak was Sky, "Mr.Barton thinks of me as a Muddled."

Loran awkwardly smiled, "Sister Sky, I was drunk."

Jai spoke next, "How many others have you bluffed this?"

Loran shook his head going behind Georgia to keep his a*s safe, "That's the only time I was drunk without you guys around."

Sky turned to Lieutenant-general Warren, "Thank you for helping me so many times. I don't think I or my brothers owe you anything as Arlo must have already repaid back. You had no other choice but to hear him and come here So I don't think I need your security anymore."

Arlo looked at his wife in admiration who knew how he handled to bring him out.

Lieutenant general agreed, "Your husband is capable than me where I am bound by rules. President Harley, you are a brave and smart woman. I wish you a bright future... I'll take my leave, President Smith."

The duo nodded with, "Thank you."

Loran shook his hand and heard, "Young man, do call me anytime when you need my help?"

Loran agreed as he received his contact information card and saw them off.

Ryan asked, "Sky, I don't remember telling you Arlo helped his grandson with the lung treatment. How did you guess?"

Arlo wasn't the one to speak out about such things.
