Chapter 651 - Isn't it too fast?

At the end of the third trimester, according to research reports, Harley surpassed Apollo. Even though Apollo had faced a huge crisis, Norvin successfully stood back to his place but Harley excelled them.

There were hundreds of gifts and congratulatory banquets in Harley corporation.

Andy handled them all. He would redirect back the expensive stuff to the sender and if there was no return address, they would use it for Harley charity and orphanage. Only a few who knew Sky Harley was Sky Barton sent their wishes to Sky Barton's name which was received by Sky.

Ethan successfully managed the company and let his father retire and he took over the President position. To surprise him, Sky threw a grand party in his home with James and his wife's help.

There were few of his good friends, James' friends, Sky's full gang excluding Peter who was sent back to take care of his wife, few of Jeff's relatives and a very special guest.

Ethan had called Sky quite a few times after work to tell her but she didn't receive the calls. He could only sigh and return to his home. After seeing the magnificently decorated living hall and seeing nobody in sight, he doubted once whether he was in his home or not.

He looked around and found nobody, not even maids. Thinking about all the possibilities he went to his room and saw the special guest Sky had brought for him to meet.

The guest was anxiously pacing when he entered the room, "Winnie?" Ethan was shocked seeing a girl who looked worried. She was in a beautiful glittering evening gown. She was dinky so as her voice.

"Ethan... Congratulations." Her voice was more like whisper which would be hard to hear if not heard properly. She gave a quick hug to him and forced a smile.

Ethan recovered from his daze. He hadn't seen her from nearly five nearly years from the time she left him. He had lots of questions to ask but he didn't know how and where to start.

Winnie blankly looked at him who was in a confused state. Their minds had numerous things going on but they stood looking at each other without saying anything.

Winnie spoke after a few minutes of silently staring at each other. "She brought me here." She pointed behind him at the door.

Ethan turned around to see Sky who was in smokey blue off-shoulder, A-line sequined evening gown. Seeing her soft smile, Ethan lips involuntarily tilted up and spoke to the man next to her, "Your wife looks like a barbie doll."

"Thank You, President Jeff." Arlo thanked sincerely.

Sky shook her head resignedly hearing him who always compares her to dolls. She went ahead to Ethan and made him face Winnie. "She left you that year because of your brainless friends and their stupid nonsense parties which she didn't like to attend as those given a wrong opinion about you. Not because of what you thought."

Ethan and Winnie were in a relationship for nearly a year. Ethan was very close to her but his group of friends would always booze and party around. Winnie was scared he might use and leave her like how most of the rich heirs would do hence she had changed the college scaring she won't be able to control herself from falling deeper to him.

But Ethan thought she left with some rich man dumping him without giving a proper reason. From that time he started to play around with girls like other his friends without attachments.

When Sky was helping Ethan with his accusation past month as she acquired a resort and the same company hotel was acquired by him, that time she had found Winnie's picture in his office drawer. That was the first time Ethan was too reserved with Sky and didn't speak much the whole day.

After talking with Arlo and James, she decided to look for her. When Arlo took her to Winnie's apartment, her eyes fell on a Wristwatch which was similar to Ethan's one of the wristwatches which he uses most of the time even though he had nearly fifty different wristwatches.

To make sure she checked Ethan's social media profile gallery and pictures she had. She noticed, out of sixty pictures, he was wearing that watch in forty. She wanted to think as a coincidence but Arlo said those were limited edition couple watches.

Then Sky coaxed Winnie and got to know that she couldn't move on still and that wristwatch was the only souvenir left with her. Sky convinced her to attend the party. Sky didn't want to poke her nose too much but seeing Ethan not coming down, she went upstairs hoping they shouldn't be fighting but she was dumbfounded to see they weren't even talking.

So she clarified his major concern. Ethan looked at her not knowing what to say and glanced at timid Winnie. Sky continued, "I think you two should talk it out openly to each other... but later."

Her tone was convincing, soft till that. Then she pouted, "President Jeff! I'm famished. If you don't start the party downstairs, I will throw you out as all the guests will be cursing me for not arranging the party well."

Ethan chuckled hearing her whining and threatening.

"Take ten minutes to get fresh and talk to Winnie before you two come down." Sky said as she patted him and left with Arlo.

"Mr.Husband, All likes a meek woman. Are you blind to like me?" After seeing Winnie who seemed like a sweet little lamb who needs utmost care because Sky never saw herself as meek.

"Who said you aren't docile? You still can't go down there." Her shameless husband commented as they stood aside to wait for Ethan. Sky didn't want to take the chance of them fighting and ruining the mood as she didn't know much about their relationship.

Sky instinctively turned red hearing Arlo and punched him seeing his teasing smile. "I didn't ask about it."

He pecked her red cheeks gently before pulling her to embrace. "What do your brothers or parents say you as strong-headed and soft-hearted or stony-hearted?"

"Sam and Loran say as the coldblooded." She made a tongue out. She knew what he meant.

"That you are!" Sky punched him again before he could continue, "But that's for others or whenever required. But you are just a sweet little shy wife for me."

As Arlo continued to tease her, Ethan exited with Winnie holding her hand and beaming. "Let's go."

Sky pursed her lips hard and pulled Ethan back. After taking his handkerchief from his blazer, she handed it to Winnie before chuckling and pointing Ethan by showing her lips.

Both turned red. Ethan turned aside and wiped his lips as they heard Sky's comment, "Honeybunch! Isn't it too fast? I thought they might need hours to come to a conclusion."

She was back to Arlo's embrace while she asked him. Arlo caressed her cheek as answering wasn't required.

Ethan tried his best to control and chided, "Can you two stop showing off your affection?"

Ethan's two questions to Winnie after Sky left were, 'Do you still love me? Will you give another chance to our relationship?' Winnie had nodded shyly before they sealed with a long passionate kiss.

"President Jeff, You. Aren't. Single. Anymore." Sky poked his arm and made them turn a darker shade of red.

Ethan glared at Sky as Winnie was stuck on to him shyly. Sky continued teasing, "President Jeff, is your new position gave you guts to give me an angry stare or... your sweet girlfriend?"

Ethan gave a pleading look to her to let them off. Sky knew how Winnie was hence she stopped teasing. "You guys go on first. We two will come after you."

Ethan quickly left with his girlfriend to save themselves from Sky but the latter couldn't save herself from her husband before going downstairs after a long time.

It was inevitable that they still attract everyone's attention wherever they go.
