Chapter 646 - Both are Me.

"Your leg?" Sky voice was jittery. Ellis's one leg was artificial which meant he had lost his leg.

He stood up and gave her a friendly hug before pointing her to the couch. She saw him using forearm crutches and walk.

Ellis saw her still in shock and passed her water glass which eventually Arlo took and helped her to drink.

"Senior! What..."

"Wait... Adorky! Did you finally change your views towards love and marriage? I'm surprised." He purposefully diverted the topic but he was also amazed to see a man taking care of her other than her brothers.

Sky came back to her senses, "I'm sorry, Senior, He is Arlo! My husband. Arlo, He is Ellis. My mentor and a college senior."

Arlo and Ellis shook their hands with greet.

"You are a lucky man." Ellis said to which Arlo responded as 'I know'

"For what?" Sky asked the reason to which she heard a light chuckle and saw a smile of Arlo.

Ellis kept the topic around and about her education, work. After some questions, Sky couldn't help but say, "I'm working as CEO and President of Harley corporation."

"Oh!" Ellis said but it flashed him later, "Are you the Harley?... You are Sky Barton."

Ellis's parents were still in country A and he was up to date about country A.

"Both are Me." Sky didn't know how he would react to her but out of her expectation he said, "You are Adorky."

Sky sighed. After some more random talk, she finally asked. "Senior, now can you tell me what happened?" Sky pointed his leg. Ellis smiled and just briefed.

"I was on the way to laminate my few paintings near our college when a car rushed towards footpath behind me and this happened. I was hospitalized, you know I wasn't well off so my parents didn't put a case and asked that rich family to save me. I was admitted in the capital and many surgeries carried out on the head, my knee, lower leg but operation related to the leg wasn't completely successful. Then I was shifted here and again a few surgeries and still, my leg wasn't functional. Later I asked to amputate and here I go, I can walk."

He ended with a smile. But Sky could understand how much pain he went through.

"Why didn't you come back to country A?" Sky asked gingerly.

"I don't want anybody's pity." Ellis replied with a straight face before giving a faint smile.

They turned silent for a few seconds before Sky saying grimly, "Who wants anybody's pity! You are such an exceptional artist... But I'm still angry with you."

Ellis chuckled knowing why she was angry, "Why does President Harley want to learn painting from Artist Faith Hill? You can get the best Artist to your place."

"Se.ni.or!" Sky pouted hearing 'President Harley'. "And anyway, Best..."

"Best Artist doesn't have to be the best mentor!" Ellis finished her line which he had heard in college.

"That's my line." Soon their gloomy atmosphere changed back to fun.

Ellis was engaging Arlo in the talk when it was about Sky. Since it was about her, Arlo spoke too.

Both had lunch with Ellis and Arlo had prepared a lot of painting supplies for Ellis. The latter had to take due to Sky.

Sky took his address to courier his paintings. The painting which Sky had ordered to pack became a gift to Arlo from Ellis. But Ellis didn't give the painting of Sky and mentioned it wasn't for sale as it was labeled the same under the painting. Before leaving, they met his wife and child.

Sky didn't bring her card hence she passed Arlo's card, "Senior, this is Arlo's card. Do call us when you come to country A."

Ellis took the card, "Sure!" He was about to keep it inside pocket, he froze looking at the gold layered Sigma industries logo on black card.

"Sigma?" He turned it around to see the silver foiled name 'ARLO SMITH'

Sky hadn't felt the necessity to tell that Arlo was President of Sigma but Arlo didn't have any other card either.

He pulled Sky aside and whispered looking at Arlo, "Is he, President Smith?... He won't close my gallery for talking too much with you or him right?"

Sky chuckled looking at Arlo. "Senior, he is here as my husband. He won't do anything and he was the one who found you and brought me here. It wasn't a coincidence."

"President Arlo knew about me before coming here?" Ellis asked in doubt.

Sky hummed, "He came with me to the reunion and before that, I got your painting where I was watching the dark sky full of stars in it."

"I had given that painting to frame it before giving you. Anyway, That got its owner."

Sky went to bid his wife and child when Ellis spoke to Arlo, "President Smith isn't like how people say in Country A or other places."

Arlo saw Sky trying to talk to 4 years old in her utterly broken country E's language.

"I'm, indeed as they say but I'm not President Smith to my wife. Just a husband."

Ellis nodded and looked at Sky. After giving it a thought, he decided to voice out. "Nowadays people marry one, divorce and marry somebody else..." 'Either you or nobody else for Sky. Treasure her.'

"We will never separate." Arlo knew what Ellis wanted to say.

Ellis smiled and was about to leave, Arlo asked, "Why is My Wife so important to you?"

Ellis had thought Arlo must be knowing. He smiled and faced Arlo before joking. "My poor life can't take President Smith's wrath."

Arlo kept his passive face, Sky joined them. Ellis smiled at her and spoke, "I was in a relationship then it changed to long-distance and that woman was double dating. I went to City S to surprise her but got a shock in return. I had started drinking too much and one day I was on the bridge, ready to jump down to the river when your wife gave me TIGHT SLAPS and admonished me until my mind came back to senses."

Sky giggled standing next to Arlo. "I was barbarous, wasn't I?"

"Undoubtedly. I still get goosebumps remembering it." Ellis chuckled.

"If you weren't that harsh probably I would have died some other day. That was the first time I met Adorky then I saw her after some days in our college. But she didn't even remember me when I met her and I had to explain the complete incident for her."

He pinched Sky's cheek, "She is my Savior." But Arlo twisted her ear.
