Chapter 630 - Are you intimidating me?

Clients who wanted to pull back from the Harley during the crisis were successfully convinced to stay back. A few gave them a month's time to the Harley to resolve the problems.

Sky cared to attend if they were professional else she was ready to reject them.

The cops were at a dead-end about the case. Sky wasn't relying on them so it didn't affect her.

Night In the Majestic Club of the Capital

President Wright was celebrating his success with the other two Presidents. As he promised, he gave a project to each president who was on cloud nine.

They started to drink and enjoy for a long time until they heard a knock on the door. A row of cops entered inside followed by Deputy chief Ma.

Two presidents stood up abruptly. President Wright looked calm on the exterior while the turbulence was going on in his head.

The latter greeted Deputy Chief Ma. Captain turned to a man, "John Bills? Follow us for an investigation. This is a warrant."

John Bills was an assistant of President Tan from Tan Industries. He hid behind President Tan who was a fifty+ year old man. President Tan tried to stay calm but he was trembling when Liam Jacob, Sam, and Maxwell entered the private room with a grim expression.

Sam and others tracked the suspicion car and found out it belonged to an assistant of President Tan from Tan industry. So with Liam's help under the trespassing act, they went with police to get hold of John Bills.

Sam and Liam saw everyone inside and registered about them mentally. Maxwell strode towards the table silently as President Wright tried to make sense to Chief Ma and Captain but Liam ruthlessly cut him off.

"Chief Ma, why are you here at this time? What can a mere assistant do for you to personally visit here? Captain, Why don't we have some drinks?"

"President Wright? Am I correct? How about I charge you for stopping the investigation and offering alcohol to on-duty cops. Let me enlighten you, it is a form of bribe."

His cold tone sent shivers down their spine.

President Wright knew about Liam Jacob who could make anyone pay for just throwing a small stone on road.

Captain went near John but the latter stepped back saying, "I didn't do anything. President Tan, do something..."

Liam smirked, "We didn't even say you did something. Mr.Cox, it seems like you are on the right track." The Captain had said only it as a warrant, no reason was mentioned.

Maxwell spoke holding two files, "Cent percent. Such a huge project for small factories."

Sam stepped forward and faced President Wright, "Your count down... started."

President Wright clutched his fist tight as a cold bead started forming on his forehead. "Chief Ma, What's going on? Who are these two?"

Sam spoke devoid of any emotion, "Didn't you want to have dinner with President Harley? I will fix it for you. Very... soon."

Sam signaled Maxwell and left after they nodded at Liam and Deputy chief Ma. Liam saw John taking away and left.

Sam called Sky and lightly reported it before hanging up.

President Wright broke everything on the table and started drinking profusely until Norvin came who was called by former's assistant.

Norvin got to know about the things and took his father back home. He waited to talk to him till the next day.

At the Harley Mansion

Sky convinced Ryan at home that she would manage everything. Then the trio had dinner before going back to their rooms.

Sky spoke with brothers and worked on her laptop laying on the bed. Arlo who finished his office work returned to the room and saw Sky lying flat on the bed reading a doc.u.ment on her laptop.

"Who works like this?" Arlo tried to pull her up but Sky pulled him on the bed before pecking on his cheek and saying cheekily. "Me!"

He bit her earlobe before going to get fresh. Sky rubbed her ear and continued to work.

Arlo threatened after seeing her still on the bed holding on to the laptop till eleven, "If I take you to the bathroom, you will not have the strength to walk back to the bed. You have an office tomorrow, Think! I will give five seconds."

Sky stood up looking serious and spoke, "Arlo. Smith! Are you intimidating me? You sure have the guts...

Arlo thought she was pretending and tried to hold her but she slapped his hand and her tone turned colder and distant.

"... Don't touch me. Did you think I'm easy to get? Do you think that I will listen to you all the time? Do I look like your employee who I will follow you everywhere? I... will do as... I... can't continue anymore... Arlo! I was kidding. Breathe... Breathe..."

Sky shook Arlo who stood blankly looking at her. He pinched her cheeks hard ignoring her cries. Once they turned red like a tomato, he embraced her tightly. "Are you having fun scaring me?" He really thought he vexed her.

Well! Sky didn't expect such reaction either.

Sky checked towards the wall clock as she rubbed her cheeks, "I took one minute six seconds extra." to his five seconds time. She ran away after finishing.

Arlo shook his head resignedly and took her laptop to work. When Sky's mobile rang, he picked the call after checking the caller's name.

"Sky is busy. I will ask her to call you in five minutes." Arlo said and was hanging up Sam spoke.

"No need! You can tell her that, we got the lead. A man is arrested and according to our deduction, President of Apollo is behind the fire incident. Finding proof is left."

Arlo hummed and Sam hung up the call.

Arlo had guessed about the instigator as Ryan got to know a few companies trying to suppress the Harley. But they didn't expect the Apollo to play dirty. Arlo thought Sam would take a long time taking one by one down but by one person he found out the main instigator.

Arlo didn't inform Sky at night so that she doesn't have to think too much about handling President Wright. He let her sleep and informed about it during the next day's breakfast.

Sky and Arlo reached the Harley Corporation on time and got into work.

Sky got back everything to normal in the Harley corporation and controlled most of the media nonsense but the media still speculated Harley's losses in hundreds of millions which negatively affected sales growth and lost a construction project due to negative news.
