Chapter 616 - Blaming Sky

Sky had thought Arlo was listening but seeing no reaction for a long time as his eyes traveled near her lips, she had brushed her skin with her hand as she asked that question to him.

But hearing him ask, she tactfully replied, "Hmmm, The Smile which I gave you."

It was true!

She wasn't out of her character to be sweet. But he felt she was becoming a sweet little wife who was too irresistible for him to handle.

"Sky! If you continue your sweet talk, I won't be able to control myself and don't tell me later that I am a beast."

He glanced at her who was covering face with the sketchbook. Since it was quite, he heard her mumble which she didn't want him to hear.

'Even that time you will have your demonic charm... How can he be both beauty and the beast? Hmph. Shouldn't I be...'

"Aaarloo" Sky was carried inside their room and threw her on the bed.

"I will teach you how!" He removed his sweatshirt in a move.

Before she could process what he would teach her, she was already drowned kisses followed by their passionate and intense battle on the bed.

In the capital

Sam was bored in the Harley Corporation. Three were setting up their lab and one was watching over the security.

He left in his sports car to GenX. He helped his brother with a few works until the latter went to a video conference.

Instead of sending a driver to pick Mia, Daniel asked Sam to pick before he left. Since Sam was free, he left the GenX and drove towards Mia's school.

His eyes fell on a girl who was in the formal pants and shirt. She had a delicate feature but her brows were knitted tightly as she repeatedly checked her wristwatch.

He realized he had stopped in front of her when he heard her greet him in surprise. "Second Young Master!"

Sam frowned and stepped on gas without responding to her.

She was confused but her bus came and she hopped on it.

Sam frowned deeper knowing he was checking the rearview mirror until she got on the bus but he cursed Sky for teasing him with her name and dispersed his thoughts blaming Sky for playing with his mind.

But Sky had no time to sneeze for it.

--

The bright day had turned dark. The sun had set to let the moon dazzle and stars to shine in the dark sky.

Inside the room, they had just finished their intense battle. A delicate weakened woman laid in his arms having no strength to move.

He laid her in the bathtub after checking the water temperature. He took a shower before helping her to wash up. He laid her back on the clean bed.

He quickly prepared bald tasted noodle soup before waking her up. He had to coax her to eat in her half-awakened state but she dozed off without finishing even a small bowl.

He halfheartedly ate little without her and fell into deep slumber holding her in the embrace.

**

After seven hours of proper rest, Sky woke up early morning hearing birds chirping.

The early morning soft sun rays were entering the room which made her eyes squint for sleeping long before opening them to see Arlo. After savoring his view, she lightly nibbled his nose to which he woke up.

He pulled her to him tight and spoke, "Let's stay here. I don't want to go back."

Out of his expectation, Sky spoke, "Ask your telecommunications department to provide access here and we will manage our companies remotely."

Before he could be out of his stupor from hearing her agree, Sky continued thinking about their surroundings. "No no... if telecommunication services start, it will affect the birds. We couldn't enjoy so many birds singing in the forest, I will think about the alternative."

Arlo couldn't understand whether he was thinking too much or she became an obedient sweet little wife but he loved it. He loved everything about her.

"Sweetheart!..."

Sky's stomach grumbled reminding them that her stomach was empty.

Arlo's words changed, "You... want to... eat me again? My wife turned out to be a hungry wolf."

Sky was speechless.

'How can I be a wolf? You were the one who devoured me so many times.'

Arlo chuckled looking at her blank face. He gave his personal service before taking her to the kitchen.

Sky gulped down whatever he gave and she even stole vegetables from chopping board with lots of kisses on her forehead and cheeks before eating the heavy nutritious porridge.

They sunbathed in early morning rays as they walked around the manor. There was a mini-farm for greens and vegetables.

He then took her to the viewpoint on the wall fence to show stream and surroundings. After returning, Sky preferred to sit under the shade and Arlo sunbathed giving competition to the sun in brightness.

Sky played with her pencils and paper for a very long time before she finished. Seeing her lips in a beautiful curve looking at her sketchbook, he curiously sat next to her and took the book.

He was stupefied.

Sky glanced at him and at the sketch, "How is it? I tried portrait after a too long time... How is it?... Arlo!"

He understood the saying 'Beauty holds in the eyes of the beholder.' Because he never liked his face as much as he liked in the sketch.

He especially liked his eyes which were looking at the book... No! he liked it because Sky likes his eyes and it came out well as she sees them, as she feels about them.

He didn't know Sky could sketch portrait and he never expected her to be so wonderful in it.

He had only seen the sketchbook which was in the Harley corporation. He never to got to see the sketchbooks which were in her crafts room. The sketches he had seen were more geometrical so he thought, she was just proficient in using them.

He reacted when Sky shook his arm. "I didn't know my wife is outstanding in whatever she does." He wrapped his hand around her.

"Oh! But I still lack skills in portrait." Sky wrapped her hands back and leaned on him.

Arlo ignored what she said because she would never agree she was excellent.

"Am I really so good-looking?" He asked as he kept the sketchbook aside.
