Chapter 577 - Soft tone doesn't work on her

Next day

After breakfast, the Barton family left for town A. Ryan had a video conference hence he went to his study. Sky bid Arlo with a hug, "See you in the evening. Work Smart."

Arlo silently left and Sky went with Sam to Harley corporation. Sigma industries headquarters was far and one had to take the outer ring road to skip entering the city's traffic from the Harley mansion.

Sam narrated how she was behaving the previous day and enjoyed seeing her blush in embarrassment. "Samuel Cox, You are too much."

Sky couldn't get to retort as whatever he said was the truth.

"Me? President Harley, while you were talking, nobody dared to open their mouth and you are saying I'm too much?"

Sam continued to joke around until they reached the Harley corporation.

"Sky! Don't worry too much about anything. We will all handle it. Just be yourself. Okay?" Sam said convincingly when she entered the elevator.

She smiled and nodded. That's what Jai, Arlo, David, George told her today. Sam rubbed her head caringly before letting the elevator door close.

After seeing her the previous day, he almost thought she would become serious by nature due to the stress of being President Harley, Madam President of Sigma. But seeing her let him tease her instead of scolding him meant she wasn't affected much.

Since her safety and all PR activities about her started to manage by Arlo and his people, his and other's work reduced a lot other than keeping an eye on Harley corporation security.

So they started to consider what Sky proposed him. But instead of opening a separate company which would kill their time of fun with lots of responsibilities, they were planning to propose a different solution. But they didn't mention anything to Sky until they plan out everything.

Sky who entered the last floor was greeted by Clara and Andy. Both started reporting about the previous day's work and the piled up work when she entered the office.

She paused looking the back of a man. She turned grim and ignored the other two behind her and went towards him.

"Why are you here?"

Arlo turned to her and smiled. Sky pouted and spoke, "No need to worry about the process of resignation, I will handle."

Arlo stood up and leaned on the desk facing her. Sky's lips turned up seeing him tilt his head to the side looking as ravishing as he could be but next second her smile froze.

She messed his hair which was groomed well and stood silently shocking the two behind her.

Arlo chuckled, "This hairstyle doesn't go with my suit."

Sky didn't respond, Arlo continued, "Who said I'm resigning from my post? I am continuing to work here."

Both didn't care there were actually two more in the room and continued their talk. "Then who will look after Sigma. Can you stop burdening Ray... Ryan. That poor fellow is working so hard because of you."

Clara didn't give any reaction. Andy was confused about hearing 'Sigma' and 'Ryan'

Sky continued, "Wasn't I working before you came? I will adapt to it soon. Don't worry about me. I know Sigma didn't take any major projects because you were here. So stop wasting time here and go back to work. Your work is also as..."

Seeing her continue without stopping, He closed her mouth and took her to inside the room before closing the door.

Clara went out to her desk and Andy followed her out glancing at the room door which was shut. He went out and checked about the Sigma.

The first information was 'Sigma Industries', he went through roughly,

'Sigma Industries Limited is a Country A's multinational conglomerate company headquartered in C capital city, Country A. Sigma owns businesses across the world engaged in energy, petrochemicals, textiles, natural resources, retail, telecommunications.....

Stock price: xxxxx

Headquarters: C city, Country A

CEO: Arlo Smith (01 June xxxx -)

.

.'

Andy didn't continue reading. His eyes were on 'CEO: Arlo Smith'.

Does S mean Smith?

He took a long time to process the information and stood up to see Clara in the next block. He coughed lightly, "Clara, You were secretary of Arlo Smith. right?"

He knew Clara worked in Sigma industries before joining Harley corporation. He actually wanted to ask if Arlo was actual President Smith but doubting whether she would answer that way, he changed his question.

Clara continued her work and answered without raising her head, "Yes! Assistant Gill."

Andy sat back blankly till his intercom rang.

...

Arlo made her sit on the bed and kneeled on the floor holding her hands. "Relax! And listen to me."

Sky furrowed her brows, "You aren't planning to ask me to merge Harley with Sigma, are you?"

Arlo knocked on her head, "Stop giving work to your brain."

Sky rubbed her head and said innocently, "It hurts."

Arlo started rubbing her head where he hit and spoke, "I have handled all your schedules till now. If I propose a new plan, will you accept it?"

"Oh! So you know to propose also than forcing me to do." Sky blinked twice as she said.

Arlo had to stop his urge to pounce on her. "Can we talk seriously?"

"When did I joke?" She asked innocently and then added, "Arlo! You are the one who is making melodramatic."

"Fine!" Soft tone doesn't work on her. "Your meeting on Monday and Friday are important compared to other days which are usually general meetings unless there is an emergency."

Sky hummed. Arlo continued, "And those general meetings can be handled by video calls."

Sky hummed again. Arlo continued on, "So we will come to Harley on Monday and Friday, and other days depending on work we can come here. On other days, we will go to Sigma. You can work on your laptop there and I will ask someone to bring the files to Sigma on those days for not to pile up the works on your desk..."

Sky didn't respond, instead asked a question with her expressionless face. "Will that work? It will be a burden on you to manage our both schedule."

"It will work and it's easy for me. So... what do you think?" Arlo asked earnestly.

Sky blankly looked at his face. Thinking about how she could manage everything remotely and control everything including brainless shareholders.

Arlo who waited for her answer thought she was not happy with the plan. "If you don't want, we don't have to."
