Chapter 574 - What I wanted to do after graduation?

"Sky! This is what I hid. Nothing else." Arlo helplessly said.

"You both! Get lost! Don't talk to me." Sky strode out and both men followed her out.

The guards were stationed seeing them. Secretaries started to peek one after the other when they passed their block. Sky entered the elevator and pressed the ground floor button.

She didn't let Arlo enter, "Sky!"

"I don't want to talk to you." Sky said and pressed the door close button repeatedly.

Ryan and Arlo took another elevator helplessly. Ryan kept blabbering his questions but Arlo didn't respond. He was thinking about the possibilities.

Sky's elevator reached first and then Arlo's. Sky was ready to jump over the access gates, all gates quickly opened. She turned back and saw many greeting Ryan,

'Assistant Wilson'

'Assistant Wilson.'

.

He wasn't responding to anybody and strode towards her. She turned around and went out as all the employees made way for her looking at Arlo, Ryan.

She was hopping on her car, Arlo held her hand, "Sky! We will talk it out."

Sky flung his hand and said in cold tone, "There is nothing left to talk."

Sam had gone with Loran to the Harley mansion, Sky drove her car to the Harley mansion.

'There is nothing left to talk' rang in his head multiple times until Ryan stopped his car in front of Arlo. The latter hopped on and sat silently.

He couldn't understand why Sky hates rich men so much. He always heard her saying her father as 'filthy rich' and she never included herself in that. She always spent her salary amount for everything even if she takes him or Sam and others out or if she has to buy anything.

It was always David who spent money on her. He was even ready to leave Sigma for her if she wanted but she should listen to him in the first place.

Sky sped off to the Harley mansion on the ring road as another car followed her at the same speed and other security vehicles followed them. She analyzed everything and even understood everything. But she didn't like the fact that Arlo was President of Sigma.

She never thought about marrying because thinking about leaving her place and staying with another family was very difficult for her to think. And her identity of Barton and Harley wouldn't be easy for everyone to understand and let her live as she was.

When she got married at least she was happy that she married a simple working man. But now he was such a high profile that even the President of Country A seems smaller to him.

The economy of the whole country could fall just by a single order from him. If she was considered as cold-blooded for simple things he was Evil in front of it, A Demon in Ryan's language. But none dared to publish or post anything against him.

But he wasn't like anything as rumors said. He took care of her even though their starts were never good. She understood why he was good at everything but still had a weird temper which he controlled for her.

It wasn't easy for someone who got everything as they want, one day he had to listen to somebody else. Every one worked as per his requirement but he had to work on her orders.

She knew he loves her, more than what she even thought. Career was very important to a man just like a woman. But he ignored it for her which hardly anybody could do it.

One who would sit on his chair and could order everything to his place was taking care of her every small thing.

From picking clothes to cooking food for her. From checking the room temperature as per her requirement to preparing a bathtub for her. From handling her silly tantrums to talking sensible stuff. From listening to her crazy talks to answering her every nonsense questions. From teasing her to teaching her everything she wants to learn.

He never backed down from anything and liked her every form. She knew she was weird. There was always a thin line between anybody liking her or getting annoyed by her behavior.

She couldn't be like a sweet little wife who would like to get pampered sitting at home. She couldn't stay at home sitting and doing nothing or ordering around just because there were maids to do it.

Even if he expects her to be like that, she could never be like that. Even if she behaves like that, that won't be the real her. She couldn't act her whole life. She couldn't live a lie.

After parking the car, she bolted inside the home and saw Loran sitting with everyone and sighed a breath of relief. Loran got up and went to her when he saw her looking at him.

Sky punched him before hugging, "Dumbo! I was scared."

Loran knew she would get scared. But everyone knew nothing could make her visit Sigma. Even if she hear Harley would go bankrupt if she doesn't visit Sigma, she would still never care to visit.

He had to give in for Arlo's request when he told her she joked about his identity when he mentioned it to her. He patted on her head, "Sister Sky! I'm fine."

Arlo and Ryan entered to see Loran and Sky first and rest were inside. Ryan went to the living area, Arlo stood rooted. Ryan signaled everyone indicating nothing was well and Sky was outraged.

Loran took her to the living area and Arlo followed them. Sky's eye first fell on David who didn't know what to say. She turned to George as she calmly asked, "Dad! What I wanted to do after graduation?"

George glanced at David before answering, "You wanted to accept the job from England and work for three years and return to Town A to be with us."

Sky nodded and looked at David, "Dad! Do you know why I didn't go?"

Jai and Loran looked at each other knowing what she was trying to say. Sky knew David had no idea about she wanted to accept the job and fly off.

"Let me broaden your views about me. I didn't go because of you. I didn't even think about leaving town A because of you. Do you know why?"

Sky gave a pause before answering her own question "I was afraid you would reach me and take me away with your so-called money and influence without Brother Jai by my side in a different country."

Sky paced as she continued, "Do you know what I wanted? A simple life. Just a simple life. No power, no social status, nothing. I never wanted to be rich. I wanted a peaceful life. You know what is peaceful, right?"

Sky sat opposite David on the coffee table and explained, "I never wanted somebody to sit at home worrying about me thinking whether I reached a particular place safely. Whether I will be safe going there and other places."
