Chapter 532 - I'm not a little kid.

While picking colors for everyone including Jai, Loran, and Sam, she picked all-white for Jai. Yellow for Loran. Light blue for Sam but she couldn't able to pick any colors other than Navy blue and brown for Arlo.

First, she had picked whites for him, then she changed to multiple colors but end up with dark colors.

"Sky! Show me the pictures." Ryan spoke.

Sky nodded at him and was showing him the pictures, David asked and seeing Olivia's gaze, she connected her mobile to television...

Sky slept separately in the following days, She would only go to her room for getting fresh and changing clothes. She would just hear whatever Arlo would say but she hardly responded. She still didn't dare to look him the eyes or look at his face.

Distance between them increased day by day. How many times or however Arlo apologized or spoke, he felt like he was saying to a wall than Sky. She would mercilessly ignore him after hearing and leave from his sight.

--

On one of Friday when Sky was working, She received a call from Ryan, "Ray?"

"Sky! Don't allow Brother Arlo to leave office?" A frantic voice heard on another end of the line.

"He already went to meet Jennifer Brown. What's wrong? Why do you sound anxious?" Sky asked calmly.

Arlo entered her office twenty minutes back and asked her permission to leave early to meet Jennifer who was in the capital and called him. She agreed and he left. She couldn't understand what's the big deal in that.

"Do you know Jennifer Brown?" Ryan asked in confusion.

"Yes! Arlo's ex-girlfriend... or should I say she was his responsibility until she left him?" Sky kept mobile on the speaker as she continued to work on her laptop.

"Since you know, I don't have to explain. I'm saying sorry for my language. She is a manipulative b*tch, she will sweet talk and start crying in front of Brother Arlo for everything. He blamed himself in the past so I'm worried. I know where he is, Can we go there? He will not listen to me if I go alone." Ryan quickly finished and waited for an answer.

Sky furrowed her brows higher, "Your brother isn't navie. There is nothing to worry about. Ray, Can you please stop worrying? Why are you behaving like your wife is meeting her lover? If you are too anxious, come to my office."

Ryan didn't reply. Sky could feel he was pacing worriedly. "Ray, Why are you worried?"

"Sky! His mood isn't good. I'm just scared that b*tch may take advantage of the situation with her crocodile tears. I don't understand why she came after so many years. She even called grandmother." His worrisome tone sounded again.

Sky rubbed her temples not understanding why he was getting worried for just that. 'He is not a kid'.

"Where are you? Come to Harley. Where is your office? Shall I send somebody to pick?" Sky asked.

"I'm in Si... I'm coming there." Ryan almost mentioned Sigma, without letting her ask anything, he hung up saying, "See you."

Sky glanced at her phone which had missed calls from Mia. She called back right away. "Hey! little Mia!"

"Sister Sky! Come and pick me. Exams are over. Dad and Mom agreed to send me." Mia excitedly said.

She knew everyone would be happy when Mia comes and it had been very long. Mia's parents didn't allow her to go anywhere so Sky agreed.

"Sure, Mia! Keep your bag ready with all your home works..." Sky responded and spoke for sometime before hanging up.

She worked for some more time. When Ryan entered her office, "Sky! Let's go."

"Sit!" Sky pointed at the couch and texted Sam before finishing some files.

Ryan who sat for a few minutes started pacing in her office. Sky felt dizzy seeing him but let him pace. After she finished her work, She took him to the Cox family before returning to Harley mansion.

Ryan fumed when he saw Jennifer sitting with Olivia in the living room. "See! I told you. You don't listen to me." He left for his room getting angry on Sky.

Mia ran to Arlo and Olivia to greet them. Sky saw a lady who was in the late twenties smiling graciously as she glanced at the man sitting opposite to him.

She was beautiful, her body-hugging dress defined her stunning curves. Her every movement could impress any man. She couldn't understand why Arlo didn't like her in the past.

As soon as Mia's voice heard, the trio turned towards the main door and Ryan left upstairs. Even though she didn't mind Jennifer meeting Olivia or Arlo, she wasn't interested to talk to her.

She walked towards the stairs when Olivia called her, "Child! Come here."

Sky bit her lip and passed her bag and jacket to the maid before going to Olivia and sitting next to her. She kept her expression aloof and was amiable with Olivia only.

"She is Jennifer Brown. Ms.Brown, She is my grand-daughter-in-law. Sky!" Olivia introduced.

Sky just gave a nod as a greeting but she saw Jennifer's expression change slightly, "Grand-daughter-in-law? De...Dearie's wife?... Dearie! Are you married?"

Sky knew Jennifer called Arlo as 'Dearie' but it sounded intimate to hear directly. Sky looked at her again and felt her eyes saying something else and her face say something that matched her words.

"Yes! Sky is my wife." Arlo's tone was cold.

Sky didn't want to talk, "Grandmother! I will get fresh." She turned to Arlo but just faced Mia, "Come on!"

"Sister Sky! Don't you like Ms.Brown? Handsome Arlo is also unfriendly with her." Mia asked as she went towards Sky.

Sky pursed her lips to control laughter. She looked at the ugly expression of Jennifer.

Before Sky could respond, Jennifer spoke sweetly. "Ms.Cox, Dearie is the same with everyone. You are still little kid, you will not understand."

Sky held Mia's hands when Mia responded, "Excuse me, I'm not a little kid. And Handsome Arlo isn't unfriendly with me and Sister Sky. You shouldn't lie just because I'm younger than you."

The maid who heard the entire conversation when she came to keep a snack on the table couldn't hold her laughter anymore.

Jennifer's face couldn't be darker than when Sky saw. But latter controlled and signaled maid to leave.
