Chapter 503 - My mistake

Sky didn't believe his words and turned to Karl who was looking at them and asked, "Aren't you going to introduce us to each other?"

Sky turned to Arlo, "He is Karl Milet. Andy's classmate."

"Karl, He is Arlo, My..." Sky couldn't finish.

"Secretary!" Arlo said and looked at her. "If nothing, Let's go."

He found Karl a little annoying and he wasn't even least bit interested in Andy's friends. If she said as her friend, he wouldn't have reacted that way.

Sky nodded. Karl was about to introduce his girl, Sky cut in, "Never mind. You have introduced me to so many girls till now that I don't remember any of those names. Bye"

Sky left with Arlo. The latter heard the girl going crazy on Karl and his lips tilted up. "Sky! You are so evil."

Sky chuckled, "I know but what I said was the truth."

He lightly chuckled and stopped Sky to face her, "If you are not close or don't trust the person, you don't have to say about our relationship."

Sky nodded pulled him to walk as she asked, "How were you so sure that I wouldn't say as secretary?"

Arlo bent near her ear and answered, "I know!"

Sky pushed his head away with a finger as her face turned a shade of pink.

'Your tone is way too Seductive.' Sky thought to herself.

Sky turned to him, "Do you know about me and Andy?"

"Little. You can share if you want." Since it was about her, he would love to listen to it and he also wanted to know why she wore the bride's gown at his wedding.

Since she already started to accept him and their relationship, she thought he should know if in case it would sound odd from an external source.

Sky started saying as they walked, "My curiosity to try football made me ask one of my classmates, That classmate was a good player but the worst coach. I used to beat him up when he was getting confused while teaching me."

Sky gave a cheeky smile remembering how she used to be.

"Andy was captain of the team my classmate was in and he offered me to teach. That's how we started speaking and became friends. But that wasn't the first time I saw him. I was pacing on the terrace and he was going on upstairs in the next building. But we ignored each other at that time. He was brother Jai's friend but I hadn't given damn about him that time."

"We were not in the same school, we were not in the same college and we were not even family friends. But we were best friends. He was someone who listened to my silly endless stories and still didn't get bored of it. Our many interests like outing, trying adventurous games and many other things including eating matched well so we used to have many things to talk."

Arlo could imagine how much she would talk with him and how she coldly speaks now.

"When I got to know about my real identity, I told the so-called friends from college, many laughed at me for dreaming of cinderella and many spoke behind my back. But his reaction was, 'So? You like to be here, be here. Why are you worrying? You are Sky, how does a Barton or Harley matter. '"

Arlo remembered she had asked him too.

"It actually meant too much for me. Unknowingly I gave him too much importance and left the other so-called friends. That I realized when he got engaged and our hours of conversation turned to the least or null. And initially, I didn't even know he was engaged."

"I called him so many times thinking he was upset but he didn't pick my calls. He was saying he will call but he didn't. I got really pissed off. He had said he will text but he didn't, and I waited for a very long time. It was My Mistake because it was me who expected from him."

"Then I caught his lies and I decided to ignore him. But he sweetly came back and sort everything with his sorry which made me forgive him. Unfortunately, that cycle continued on and on."

Arlo knew she always forgives after a sorry. No doubt Andy used it well. He asked, "Didn't you get angry?"

"Nope! I never got angry at him because I never blamed him for leaving or using me. Instead, I blamed myself for giving more than he deserved. Many thought I like him, No! I liked him as a friend until I caught his multiple lies but I never liked or never will like him as a man."

"Do you hate him?" Arlo asked. He also wondered how she would react when he tells about his real identity.

Sky shook her head, "I don't hate him. I don't feel the need to associate myself with him or say anything to him anymore."

"First I stopped trusting people when those friends spoke ill behind my back. Then Andy thought I wore his bride's gown purposefully and accused me with his ex-wife, I stopped believing in everyone except my family. Then everyone started looking down on the Barton family. Seeing me cry all day hearing them, Brother Jai sent me here. That's how I ended up here and here I am today."

Arlo was surprised, "Didn't you come here because you were disappointed by Andy?"

Sky shook her head.

It really surprised Arlo to know she went to capital because Jai sent her seeing her cry when others looked down on the Barton family because of that incident. "Then why did you threaten your dad with your life?"

His question didn't surprise her as he already said he knew little. "I didn't have a good relationship with Dad at that time. I didn't want him to control my life or my surroundings. I convinced Brother Jai and Loran by my example, so they didn't do anything to Gills."

"Example?" Arlo couldn't understand it.

Sky used the same example which she used for her brothers. "If I come and say to you that your friend took my things and your friend says she didn't take. Whom will you believe?"

Sky asked and thought she shouldn't have taken him in the example as they only knew each other for very little time but he answered nonchalantly.

"You!"

Sky coughed lightly, "You just know me less than a year, how can you say that so easily?"
