Chapter 386 - Darling! stop stealing my lines(5)

Since Arlo was returning on the same flight as Sky, he booked a complete business class. She hardly sleeps much on the flights hence she was awake most of the time.

They reached Country A around eleven. Sky sent Loran and Alex to the Harley mansion for resting and told them to leave after proper rest.

After dropping Sam to the Cox family house, Sky went to Harley corporation with David's guards.

Arlo had left separately with Ryan. The latter went to sigma and Arlo went directly to Harley reaching before Sky.

When she entered her office floor, Andy greeted her and informed she had three meetings after lunch. Sky nodded at him and thought to take a nap. She was still in her leisurewear which she wore for the flight travel. She was planning to get fresh in the office and change to formals but after entering inside she realized there was a guest.

David was talking to an old lady and Arlo. "Dad!"

David waved his hand to call her. She went near him and sat down.

"She is Arlo's grandmother. Her name is Olivia. She had come to see you in Sigma hospital but you were unconscious. Hearing about your Saturday's event, she came to meet you."

She saw mid-seventies-woman who was smiling amiably at her. She carried herself elegantly and gracefully despite her age.

Sky greeted her, "Hello, Mrs.Olivia. Pleased to meet you. Thank you for visiting when I was in the hospital and now."

Olivia waved her hand down and said politely, "Mrs.Olivia doesn't sound good. Call me grandmother like this brat."

Sky glanced at David who lightly nodded at her. "Okay... grandmother."

"You had a long flight, I heard you didn't rest well in flight. What's wrong, Child?"

Sky glanced at Arlo and smiled at Olivia, "I don't get long sleep on flights. Nothing else... grandmother."

She only knew George's mother but she was no more. Other than her, Olivia was the next one she was addressing as a grandmother.

"You should get fresh, Go-Go, don't bother about me. My grandson will cook for us today." Olivia pushed Arlo.

Sky stood up and said to Olivia, "Then please excuse me." She turned to Dad and nodded before leaving.

She saw Arlo leaving and held his hand before pulling him inside the room but the latter was very surprised by her behavior.

Sky asked bashfully, "How does your grandmother know about me so much? Do you tell her? Including about how much I rested in flight?"

Arlo chuckled hearing reason, "That's... Ray. He usually tells everything to grandmother."

"Oh! okay. You can go now." Sky sent him out and closed the door.

She quickly showered and wore a sky blue business slim suit. Instead of a white blouse, she wore a white shirt without a tie and matched with navy blue pumps that were in the room.

She went out and quickly completed a few urgent files before sitting for lunch with David, Olivia, and Arlo in her office.

She didn't know what to talk hence she remained quiet and ate but Olivia spoke, "Child! I heard you like this brat's cooking. Visit our place once, I will ask him to prepare a feast."

"Grandmother! he already prepares lunch for me daily. So there is no need for that." Sky politely refused.

Arlo breathed a sigh of relief. Bring her home means, saying her they were Smiths'.

"I know, He already told me that. You can come when you are free." Olivia knew she was studying business management during free time hence she didn't force.

"Sure Grandmother."

Sky went back to silent mode. Olivia spoke after some time "Arlo! you said Sky talks a lot when eating. See! she is so quiet."

Sky choked on her food hearing Olivia. David patted on her back and handed her a glass of water. She glared at Arlo and continued to eat. But the latter was giving pleading look to Olivia to let him off the hook.

Olivia ignored him, "Sky, you know, whenever we sit for dinner, they don't even speak a word. I wish I had a granddaughter like you who talks to me."

When Arlo and other two expected Sky to say something like ' consider me as your granddaughter .', She was different.

She smiled and spoke, "Oh!... Your grandson talks to me when we eat. Hmmm... Smack him once, he will start talking."

Olivia laughed with David. "Like this?" Olivia said and bopped Arlo's head.

Sky who had a veggie in her mouth covered it with her hand and started giggling.

"Darling! she was just kidding." Arlo rubbed his head.

"But Rascal! She is right, I hit you and you spoke instantly." Olivia retorted.

Sky burst into laughter with David giving no face to Arlo.

It was true that Arlo, Ryan, and Olivia hardly talk when they eat together. Arlo just hums if they try to talk. He started to talk during eating only with Sky. If they eat in a group, he remains mum even if Sky was present.

After lunch, Olivia got up to leave. She held Sky's both hands, "Chairman Harley is very lucky to have you. You are so pleasing to the eyes. I can sit and watch you all day."

Arlo looked at his grandmother who could say how she felt without worrying about what Sky would think. but him?

'Darling! stop stealing my lines.'

Sky smiled bashfully not knowing how to reply, she couldn't understand she was being showered with so much love.

Olivia continued, "I know you have work, so I will not disturb you more. Whenever you are free, come and meet me."

"Sure grandmother! Whenever you want to see me, ask Arlo to inform me, I will come." Sky was equally polite to Olivia.

Olivia smiled in satisfaction and hugged her before exiting with Arlo. David sat back on the sofa.

Sky asked looking at the door, "Dad, Isn't Arlo's grandmother too sweet to me?"

David hummed in response. Sky went through a few files before attending the meetings with Andy.

--

"So, What do you think?" Arlo asked his grandmother after exiting her office.

Olivia looked at Arlo once and said seriously, "She looks pure and innocent. You aren't suitable for her. She should get somebody better than you."
